I have compiled a list of applications that I have frozen on my Motorola RAZR Maxx HD that have removed the application bloat introduced by both Motorola and Verizon. The goal for this post is to restore the phone to "stock" Android as much as possible.

This list is great, thank you!
One pretty glaring caveat though...the "entitlement" process is needed for turning on the hotspot. When you don't have this process, the phone can't dial back to verizon to get auth to use the hotspot service and nothing happens when you try to check the "Mobile Hotspot" box in settings.
I'm running the OTA 4.1.1 that just came out ( 9.1.41.XT926.Verizon.en.US if you're coming to this thread from THE FUTURE).
I figured this out by doing a binary search of your list (freeze half, check the hotspot, then search the subset, etc.) however, when I originally followed your list I didnt take *all* the processes, so there is the slight possibility that there is another process that one would need in order to get the hotspot running.
I also did a reboot and tried a bunch of other functionality as a bit of a smoke-test, but I think this thread is a fantastic start to a really solid list. Would you mind editing the above list with a caveat, such as:
entitlement 4.1.1-39 (com.motorola.service.vzw.entitlement) - REMOVES HOTSPOT FUNCTIONALITY

Another little nit-pick. Maybe change your subject to change from "remove" to hide? If some root newbies find this post and use TB to actually delete these apps, they will be stuck at the next upgrade.
As for the list, in my opinion only many of what you have listed is possibly "overkill". I'm all for getting rid of the blatant stuff like:
- amazon suite
- imdb
- mc3
- NFL mobile
- real racing
- zappos, etc
But many of the things in your list are service provider apps supporting other fuctions, and are not even actively running if not using those fuctions. Its not like we are hurting for memory, and none of those show up in the top 10 battery users or data users. Many of those wont even cleanup your app drawer.
Again, only my opinion.

Updated to reflect the Entitlement issue. I don't have a VZW phone, so I didn't know about this.

I am trying for a stock experience, so I was kind of comparing my Nexus vs. Razr HD -- if you don't like it you don't have to remove it!
Oops! I didn't realise I had "Text messaging" listed, since I use CyanogenMod's messaging app. I've since updated the list to reflect this.
Any change to this list with the JB OTA?

Thanks for taking the time to update the post with the jellybean stuff.
Are you using an app to freeze / disable? The ones that I've tried all work with apk files rather than com.vzw.backup.crapware
Titanium Backup is a good one.

what is the best app to download to remove/freeze these files?
Titanium Backup Pro is the best IMO.

AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME Dude thanks!
Anyone know what the Verizon App store (Apps 3.08.12 (com.gravitymobile.app.hornbill)) is titled in root explorer? It's not under either of those names. I freeze all bloatware using root explorer, but this is the only app I can't seem to find and, of course, it can't be disabled through the system app management.

I have compiled a list of applications that I have frozen on my Motorola RAZR Maxx HD that have removed the application bloat introduced by both Motorola and Verizon. The goal for this post is to restore the phone to "stock" Android as much as possible.

You can disable a lot of apps while stock, just use the built in app manager (settings>apps>swipe to the right for all apps) and click on the app you want to disable. Some apps may not allow you to disable this way and in that case, you need to be rooted.
I can't uninstall com.zappos.android with Titanium or adb
Thanks for the list. I am having trouble removing some bloatware. I have root permissions via the windows razr hd utility 1.10 by @mattlgroff using motofail2go exploit by @djrbliss. I've checked for root permissions in adb (e.g. su and I get # prompt) and using root checker. Everything went stellar. But there is something weird going on with some of the bloatware; I was only able to remove some of the bloatware using Titanium (or pm uninstall in adb shell).
I was able to remove these apps using Titanium:
Audible 1.3.9 Market (com.audible.application)
NFL Mobile 5.9 (com.mobitv.client.nfl2010)
Real Racing 2 000485 (com.ea.game.realracing2_smartdemo)
actually, real racing left something (perhaps an update) and I was able to uninstall it using Apps in Settings
But I can't uninstall (but I can Disable from Apps in Settings) these apps either using Titanium or `adb shell`, `su`, `pm uninstall com.app.name`:
Zappos 2.5.1 (com.zappos.android)
MC3 1.0.4 (com.gameloft.android.VZW.GloftM3TB.launcher)
Titanium says they are uninstalled but they always reappear. They are listed in `/data/data`, and in `/vendor/apps` as
Amazon_zappos.apk
ModernCombat.apk
when I try package manager from adb shell I always get "Failure"
Should I just delete their apk's and their /data/data folders?
Also is it okay to remote SlackerRadio.apk from `/system/app` - it's 3MB. I'm not too worried about OTA updates (to 4.1.2 or 4.2) - do you really think that removing some games would block that? Couldn't I go all the way back to ICS and back up (same as I did to root)?
Thanks for your feedback! I'm so happy to be tweaking my phone - kind of can't wait for cm10 to come our way.

These are mine what are yours lets meet in the middle :cyclops:
I just posted this in another thread and thought I might help everyone out with removing bloat. This is everything I have removed safely.
Big list incoming. These have all been frozen with no averse affects. They can even be uninstalled if you don't care about updates and/or have a backup. If you aren't sure about an app or if you don't trust me, research first. I'm 100% positive that these can safely be removed, but if you remove something that then takes away an app you use, don't blame me. I will provide description for some but not all.
It should go without saying, but I'm going to say it anyway:
If you are not sure if it's okay to freeze due to numbers or any other issue, do not freeze it in your first batch. If this is the case, freeze it separately so you can know exactly what causes the issue if something goes wrong. Secondly,
Do not uninstall a single thing until you know your phone functions with it frozen. That is all.
Now, the list:
AcousticWarning __ Removes "music too loud" warning.
Android keyboard (AOSP) __ REMOVES STOCK KEYBOARD. Make sure to have another keyboard installed first if you remove this.
Android Live Wallpapers __ This removes choices, but you can still use live wallpapers.
Backup Asistant Plus __ Removes Verizon backup; does not affect Google syncing (contacts and email and whatnot).
Backup Assistant+ Contacts Client __ Removes Verizon backup; does not affect Google syncing (contacts and email and whatnot).
Backup Assistant+ Media __ Removes Verizon backup; does not affect Google syncing (contacts and email and whatnot).
Bubbles __ This is a Live Wallpaper.
Calculator __ Removes Calculator app; I use a TI-89 Emulator.
Chrome __ Removes Chrome app from system; I use Dolphin Beta, Opera Beta, or Chrome Beta installed from Play Store.
Circles __Removes Circles Widget which can't be used anywhere but on stock launcher.
com.android.providers.partnerbookmarks
com.motorola.android.motovzwlocationservice
com.motorola.huxvmm.backup
com.motorola.huxvmm.setting
com.motorola.vmm.filemanager __ Removes Files app; I use ASTRO and Root Explorer.
com.motorola.phone.extensions
com.motorola.vzw.settings.extensions
Demo mode
Desk Dock
DlnaSystemService __ Removes DLNA functionality.
Downloads __ This app is only a shortcut and UI to the section of your SD card. It is pointless to have if you have a file manager.
Emergency Alerts __ Removes Emergency Alerts.
Files __Again, removes Files app; I use ASTRO and Root Explorer.
Global Unplug
Google Play Books __ Obviously removes Books app.
Google Play Magazines __ Removes Magazines app.
Google Play Movies & TV __ Removes Movies & TV app.
Google Play Music __ Removes Play Music; I use PowerAMP.
Help __ Removes Help app.
Home screen tips __ Removes Home screen tips widget.
Homescreen __ DO NOT REMOVE UNLESS YOU HAVE A BACKUP LAUNCHER. I use TSF Shell.
How-to Videos
Ils
IMDb __ Removes IMDb app.
Magic Smoke Wallpapers __ Removes choices, not functionality.
Mobile Hotspot __ Removes Verizon Mobile Hotspot app; I use Barnacle Wifi Tether.
Modem Fastdormancy Monitor Service
ModemStatsService
MotoChineseInput __ Removes Chinese Input.
Moto Smart Handwriting
MotoCare
MotoCareInt
Motorola Dock Helper Service
Motorola Dock Service
Movie Studio __ Removes Movie Studio app.
Music Visualization Wallpapers __ Removes certain Live Wallpapers.
Netflix __ Removes Netflix app.
NFL Mobile __ Removes NFL Mobile app.
Phase Beam
Quickoffice __ Removes Quickoffice app; I use OfficeSuite Pro.
Rescue Security
Setup Wizard
Setup Wizard __ I have no idea why there are two.
SmartActions __ Removes SmartActions app.
Smartactions Android Framework __ Removes SmartActions app.
Smartactions Android Proprietary Framework __ Removes SmartActions app.
Sound Recorder __ Removes Sound Recorder app.
Sync Service
Talk __ Removes Talk app.
Updater
Vehicle Mode __ Removes Vehicle Mode app.
Verizon Login __ Removing can cause problems enabling Avast Anti-Theft, but it can be unfrozen and refrozen if you use that.
Verizon Remote Diagnostics __ Removing can cause problems enabling Avast Anti-Theft, but it can be unfrozen and refrozen if you use that.
Voice Commands __ Just removes the app -- Voice recognition still works.
Voicemail __ Removes Voicemail app; I use Google Voice.
VZ Navigator __ Removes VZ Navigator app, which has been irrelevant since the original Motorola RAZR.
VZWAPNService
VzwSecureSettingsApp
Weather
PS: About the Live Wallpapers, as long as you don't freeze Live Wallpaper Picker, you can still use them, just not the ones that are preloaded on the phone.
I'm sorry this is a topic discuss somewhere else. I'm looking for an app that will work with a stock RAZR HD without root to stop processes or keep them from starting. Not just a task killer.

First off, why are you posting this here if you know it's the wrong place? Ask in Q&A.
The two apps I would check out, which won't do exactly what you want, are Rom Toolbox and Onavo Count. Using Rom Toolbox you can choose what starts on boot. Using Onavo Count you can restrict apps to only work on wi-fi.
Again, if you want the right answer, ask in Q&A.
again sorry, what app are you using to freeze? and is this something that must be done every time you reboot your phone?

I use Titanium Backup, but some people do it with JRummy's Rom Toolbox. No, one time and you're done.
So, I had some success improving performance on the VZW S5 by disabling some of the apps that I dont use. Lets face it - TW is just too heavy , and taking it down a notch seems to help. I have seen a few lists in various places, but nothing really definitive so far. While we all calmly and patiently wait/hope for root/debloat tools, I wanted to put together some of those that were disabled manually without causing any issues in everyday use... as well as a list of other potentials. I've seen questions in various places, and thought it would help to consolidate suggestions on one thread.
**Since everyone uses their phones for different purposes, and therefore different apps - please keep in mind that disabling an app that pertains to a function you use (IE; Print service, Health, TTS, VZW Navigator [lol], etc) will cause it to cease to work until you turn it back on. Though you cannot turn off most critical apps, please be mindful of these suggestions.
Please throw in any suggestions that you were successful in disabling, and I will update (see second post for options). I started this to identify additional/successfully disabled apps for this purpose. Pretty conservative so far.
All apps listed are those accessible through the Application Manager (Settings-->Applications-->Application Manager-->All).

I also went through the application list, and checked all that COULD be disabled from this menu. If anyone knows if any of these are safe or effective to turn off, or what apps/services they pertain to (other than the obvious) that would be great to know. Many of them dont run for me under normal conditions, so I believe many of them should not help performance by disabling (if you dont use those services).

Interesting - I was definitely able to - perhaps because it was never setup from the get-go? I use Google Voice as well.

I actually hadn't set it up either. Then not having the option to turn-off, I set up the 30 "trial", still no option to turn-off. weird. Though, I DID set up Google Voice as my voicemail carrier before all this. I switched back to Verizon, and still nothing. Oh well, now I get to see how much of a pain it's going to be to cancel this $3/mo service.

I wasn't able to disable it from the Application Manager, but I was able to by going to the app drawer and "Uninstall/Disable apps."
I am also not set up yet..
How exactly do we turn off Verizon Support and Protection....The option to turn it off is greyed out...How exactly is that done?

Not sure. I have noticed there were differences in what individual devices were allowed to turn off. Try stopping it first, clearing cache/data, as well as turning off other vzw apps that may possibly be tied to it. Some had success disabling from drawer, so you could try that.
I was definitely able to turn it off, as you can see from the above pic. Let me know if any of those options work.

Thanks for the info I wasn't to sure about a few of them but tried it and seems to be working a lot better. Ithe barely get warm now and I only had it happen to me when I played games and surfed the Web. Going to start defrosting a few to try and pinpoint the main ones.
Thanks again!
Update!
Just tried to play modern strike for a longer period of time and got about 10 8 mins. Into play and it started getting real hot again maybe because of the Web or service for playing online and the graphics of the game. Anyone have any ideasuggestions not what else to freeze?

Look threw the threads I've seen some fixes for S7 and S7 edge that you can flash threw flashfire. Freezing some apps with titanium backup also helps. I got mine working pretty decently up till I have to many apps running in the background and playing games for to long. I'm thinking about flashing the "U" version but reading as much as possible about it before i do. I've even tried to revert back to stock and wait for nougat but I haven't been able to do it. For some reason Odin won't flash it (I've down loaded 2 versions of the stock files and no luck. Also tried different version of Odin without any luck either). For now I on echo rom.
Don't ask for links - just enter the name of the App into Google Play Store Search. BTW - this is a simple List of most used Apps (focus on Germany). I will not include any xyz App.
