I also bought the Anker Slimline after doing a lot of research. It looks like if you want a thin charger, you're going to have to get a slower one. The only ones I saw that were 1A or more were pretty thick, and not as portable.

I have the Duracell CEF23, which is a charger for AA/AAAs but also has a USB port and let's you charge devices through that port using batteries you've put inside. I'm going to buy 4 decent rechargeable AAs and use them that way! Its fairly cheap to do that, so you guys should look into it. It's also great on the fly because if it's ever empty, even regular AAs off the shelf will work, or so I'm told. =)

I can't wait till they have one of these that can power it inductively

best powerbank

i dont know if there is already a thread here or not for this, but I am interested in knowing which do you guys think is a very good powerbank?
right now, what i have are the K3 powerporta 11000mAh powerbank and the Ful powerbag.
The k3 seemed nice but after a few uses, it did not charge my gadgets properly anymore, it had 11000 mah and i would expect it to charge my phone a number of times before dying out, which it did a few weeks, then started to deminish in effectivity.
Let me know your insights guys.

Wow that looks like mine with the circle LEDs. It has three output jacks and reviews look good. For $50 I'd say it's a good deal.
FWIW I plugged my S4 into my Anker 10Ah at around 12:10 local time. It's now 12:52 so 42 minutes later. My batt was at 71%. It's now at 98%. Galaxy current shows 1900mA (top of the scale). You do have to use a good cord. The included cord nets less. Believe it or not the cord I get good results with came from a Vizio brand 2A charger that was in the discount bin at the local Target for $4.99!
Here ya go, 20000mah. It does more than cell phones, it also does laptops and other devices.

[Q] 2A charger under $20?

I recently bought the official s4 qi charger using the 50% off code. I forgot to purchase the required 2 AMP charger to power it (I didn't notice that wasn't included in the package). Since I don't have an S4 (I'm going to use the charger for my Nexus 7 FHD and my S3) I'm trying to find a 2AMP charging block/cord that I can trust.
I hate to start a new thread about this, but I searched all over Amazon and XDA and the best solution I could come up with is this:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...PWYPY7NWWHH&coliid=I321ZTUWIDWWO3&me=&seller=
I'm confident this one would work, but it's cord is connected to the brick and it's black and not white. I would prefer to have a separate brick so I could use a white cord to match the white s4 qi charger on my desk.
There are MANY solutions out there but each one I've found has mixed reviews when it comes to Android products and some even mention catching on fire! I hate to go the non-OEM route... but signing up for another account on Samsung's site and paying shipping and tax again will bring my total close to $28 dollars. At that point I might as well return the charger and just eat the shipping cost to return it.
TL;DR: Does anyone use a non-OEM charger that was under $25 with their S4 qi charger and can verify it doesn't catch on fire???
Thanks!
Currently using Monoprice 4 port wall charger ($7.80) to handle the charging of several peripherals at once. Note that only one port is rated at 2.1A/iPad compatible, whereas the other three are regular 1A USB ports.
Same deal but with two 2.1A ports and two 1A ports: $15.25.
Just one 2A port: $5.56.

I've had great results with the rocketfish charger. under $5 at amazon.
Don't forget that our S4's have the 11 pin micro usb connector. I used an older 5 pin one and wondered why my 2amp charger took forever to charge my phone, rather than the 1.5 hours it normally takes to fully charge.
The extra pins are only for MHL.
The stock charger has 4 visible pins.

Look for Blackberry chargers. I picked up a set of 2 on ebay for $5 w/free shipping. They have 6' cords and charge extremely fast. As fast as my N7 adapter I use at home. Depends how sharp eyed you are I suppose. For me the main reason to have those extra watts is so that the battery can still charge at a good rate while running google maps on the phone while driving. That GPS, screen, GPU and CPU take a good chunk of energy.

I use the Moto 15w car Turbo Charger while running TomTom Go. It uses more battery than any navigation app I have ever used. And I still get a charge moving upward while using it. A regular charger had trouble keeping up with TomTom Go, on my old M7. But I could use Google Maps navigation on the M7 on the car charger just fine.

The Perfect Battery Bank for a 6P

Hey XDA,
I have issues with buying technology because I am always looking for zero compromises. Been holding off on a battery bank for the 6P because i haven't found "the one"....
Wondering if anyone has seen any battery banks that meet all/most of these criterion:
USB C 3A Input/Output
Passthrough charging (charge the phone and battery bank in series)
6000 mAh or higher

Great find man! I been looking for something like this. Now if I can only find out if the 18650's are replaceable! Does it look like this box has screws to easily disassemble it ?
the battery pack i'm waiting for (hopefully not forever) is something with 3a fast charging that is more pocket friendly than anker/ravpower ~8000 mAH+
I bought this recently and its working great.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/iVoler-1000...&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00
Not only does it support fast charging via USB C, it uses the USB C port to charge itself as well. This means the battery bank charges in about 3 hours which is quite fast for a 10000mah pack. With a full charge, I can charge my 6p twice.

Nope, It doesn't have screws, I'm pretty sure it's hidden under the back cover.

I second this pack. It's a bit on the bigger side, but the added capacity is really helpful when you have to go off the grid for an extended period of time (read international flights), and the extra weight isn't that obvious if you just throw the pack in your backpack or purse, for our lady friends out there.
As for the screws, I don't think it has, and the 18650s aren't supposed to be replaceable either. But heck, the cells are of exceptionally high quality and rated up to 500 cycles, so you don't really have to worry about them going bad.

Actually this one doesn't have true USB C fast charge (it only goes up to 2.4A @ 5V, not the full 3A.

Not true, it DOES have true USB C fast charge as it gives you 5V 3A.

I stand corrected! Thanks for pointing this out. Last time I checked, it only supported pseudo fast charge (2.4A @ 5V)
I just got the Anker PowerCore+ 20100 USB-C and find it really good as well.

I just picked up the same, and I'm impressed so far. It came with a carry bag and 3 cables: A to Micro, A to C, & C to C. Capacity is 20,100 mAh.
Amazon link if you're interested. Will post a review after using it a while.
Dear friends,
Could you please share your experience with power banks so far? I'm looking for some to buy soon...
I bought the Xiaomi Power Bank Pro. It does have a USB type C socket.
Unfortunately that socket is to charge the power bank itself, so connecting the 6P via the USB type C actually drains the phones battery and charges the power bank from the phone. :-o
It does come with a USB A to USB C cable, but it does not quick charge the 6P.
Thanks for your answer, I've read that pressing POWER button on the bank while connecting to the phone could launch charging via USB-C socket - did you try it?

Hey XDA,
I have issues with buying technology because I am always looking for zero compromises.

O recently ordered the RAVpower 20,100mAh 3.0 one as there was a $10 off coupon code, but can understand the desire for something smaller and more pocket-able.
This is closest thing I was able to find that is pocket-able and, i think, meets your criteria. But no reviews and I've never heard of the brand:

Heck I now want one of these too, if they are actually any good....

So what are the differences between the Anker and the RAVpower?
Do they both support being charged at 5V/3A?
EDIT: That pocket-able one is kind of tempting - shame it isn't a more reputable brand
The RAVpower unite I ordered does both USB-C 5V 3A and Quick Charge 3.0 the Anker unite seemed not to (not even sure it did either, must where QC 2.0).
