Screen Just Died? - Asus Transformer TF700

I was using my TF700 earlier, no problems. On Cleanrom 2.5.5, flicking through with buttery smoothness.
Just now, I picked up my tablet, clicked the power button, and then scrolled through 2 home screens until...boom. Total blackness.
The screen won't turn on. At first I thought it was the battery, but it's at about 40%. It will reboot when I press and hold the power button, but still no display.
I plugged it into my TV over HDMI and voila...there's the display. Is the backlight dead? I see absolutely nothing on the tablets screen -- it simply won't turn on. But it displays just fine on my TV. And this is the weird part: I can touch the screen and it still registers touches and I can guess where to touch to try to use it through my TV.
What happened?! :crying:

Unale to bring out of sleep

As the title suggests, sometimes when my tf700 has had a long period of being idle if I go to use it and press the power button nothing will happen. I can still hear it functioning though cause I've accidentally taken screen shots when trying to reboot it when this happens, the screen is just black and I have to reset it.
Any suggestions?

Try switching WiFi sleep off and see if it helps.
Wifi sleep off?
I have that happen to me more than a few times. I just end up hitting power button and just tapping the corner. It works sometimes. but it's not always faster than just rebooting. Although, if you're going to reboot, just hold the power button till device shuts off.
What I think is happening is not that it's not waking, the display is just not turning on. I noticed this by plugging in the charger, which always turns on the display and device.
Yeah, the display isn't coming back up. I've noticed that too because I can still hear events occur (ie: unplugging the charger).
Another user on here tipped me off that it could be that it's in power save mode and the dimmer is COMPLETELY down, if you bump the brightness dimmer up just a hair, even 1 notch, it'll stop it from doing it, or at least it's stopped it so far for me since I changed it.

[Q] Post Screen Replacement - Weird Failed Boot up

Hey all, I have an Asus TF300T and recently replaced a cracked screen. I replaced with the same type - 69.10121.G01. Replacement went smoothly enough.
Once screen replacement was complete, I plugged in the charger - saw the Battery Icon on the screen confirm it was charging and the light on the power button stayed orange - until fully charged. Now the light is green.
Unfortunately, the tablet wont power up. I checked the on/off switch next to the power button. Checked all connections. Held power down, Pressed hard reset, etc. I read somewhere here that someone had success with Volume Down + Power - and after my 20th attempt at that, the ASUS recovery screen appeared for 2 seconds and then the screen went dark again.
So the screen/digitizer/lcd/whatever "works" but there is something amiss. Unfortunately, I am on a boat and cant get to another screen to try the HDMI cable on a TV or monitor. Any thoughts on what could be causing this or what might make this work again?
Thanks!

Screen only turns on a low battery

I have a sprint Nexus S 4g. It recently got wet and i let it dry out for a day. The screen is slightly cracked, but before getting wet, the screen still worked properly. Currently, my phone will turn on and i can confirm this through the use of droidscreen, which displays the screen. Using adb, i can still input taps but the screen remains black. Even though the screen is black, the screen still registers touches and i can still open apps, open the notification bar, etc. I let the battery die recently. When i started charging again, it displayed the charging animation when off. I turned it on, and it did not show the boot animation, but the screen turned on at the home screen (since i do not use a lockscreen, and i mostly use this device for a hotspot). The power was at 1%, so i let it charge. When i came back to it a few minutes later, the screen no longer worked again. I have been able to recreate this and i do not know why the screen only displays at around 1%, but still registers touch at any time. Could replacing the screen fix this issue or is this a result of water damage in the circuitry?
This device is rooted and is currently on CM.

[Q] Phone Not Loading After Screen Replacement - Updated: Now Power Button

Hello,
Recently, my phone and I took a splash in a pool. I've never replaced a digitizer before, but since everything was still functioning perfectly fine except the screen, I ordered a Digitizer/LCD. Just finished installing and pieced everything together except the outer shell. Went to boot up, but nothing. I had a full battery before I disassembled it, but figured maybe I didn't connect the battery correctly. I hooked it to the charger and immediately got the "Alcatel One Touch 3 - Powered by Android" splash screen. Then it went to the battery charge icon, (the same that appears when the phone is charging by not on). Tried holding the power button again, but no response. Unplugged/plugged several times and even pulled the plug at the splash screen. Nothing.
I'm pretty certain everything is seated correctly, but does this point to one specific thing I didn't do correctly? Any help is very much appreciated. I've come this far and see the light but so disheartened.
Hello,
Just wanted to update: It's the Power Button. I was able to connect to the charger via a power strip, flipped the switch and jerry-rigged so I could toggle the volume buttons. Currently, the phone is in Android Recovery mode. I can scroll with the volume buttons, but I cannot select (the default language right now), because the Power Button isn't responding.
Anything I can do?
Edit: Looks like I may have snapped the power button ribbon

[LCD Replacement] Screen doesn't light up after sleep

Hello everyone,
I bought a LCD replacement for my OPO, and asked a friend to replace the screen (he had his own OPO, and changed the screen on it a couple times, so I trusted him).
The frame was not included, so the phone is without it unfortunately.
But I have this problem with the screen itself...
I boot the phone, everything goes well, it boots, everything ok, I can do everything...
Then the phone goes to sleep after the 30s, and sometimes when I press the button to turn it on, the lights in the bottom light up, I can hear sounds, I can swipe to answer calls for example, but the screen stays all black.
If I press the power button to turn it to sleep mode and then click again to wake it within 1 or 2 seconds, it works everythime.
Its just when it goes to sleep... And then I have to press the power button to reset the phone, and it boots again.
I'm using the LineageOS Rom, and I never had problems like this before replacing the LCD.
What caused this? Could the screen be "broken" when I bought it?
Thank you for reading this and for the help!

Well, clearly the issue is lcd itself.Happened with me on my last screen replacement,it was defective.Though in my case,I had to power on/off the device to get the display back.Get a refund or replacement, there's no other alternative.
