[Q] CM10 10.0.0 Stable - no cell service in NY - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

I upgraded to CM10 10.0.0 stable this weekend and have been having no problems. However, I commuted to NY this morning and now I have no cell/internet service when I should have 4G LTE.
I'm using the UCLI3 radio.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Try setting your apn to Lte. Seems like you should have some sort of cell service though.

Thanks so much for your reply!
I've gone into settings...more...mobile networks...network mode and used preferred network mode: LTE/GSM/WCDMA. I also tried updating the network operator to AT&T (and tried automatically choose preferred network) and I still get no service in NY.
Edit: DUH...I figured out where I needed to change the setting and everything appears to be fixed. Thanks!

Had a similar issue yesterday in Houston. Had to select LTE apn, then search for mobile carriers manually, then select choose automatically. Glad you figured it out

having massive radio issues today. Nj Area central, no 3g at all since 10 pm 4/21.. tried hard wipes, different roms, different radio flashes. if i goto radio info and flip it to lte which there is none in the area, it reverts to 1x. cant get 3g to work at all. some other people with different phones ive noticed having 3g issues so i think its a network issue going on

Toggle to cdma prl in York LTE settings and reboot. If I have LTE set on I get 1x all the time. Not sure if its the real problem or fix but seems to work for me. I'm also in a 3g area.

Same issue here.
This morning I wake up, and my thunderbolt is stock on 1x. If I switch to 4G, it will do 4g, but back to CDMA only, and stuck on 1x. I have 4G at home, but leave it on 3G because I normally am at work with no 4G coverage.
I flashed the stock mr 2 rom just to confirm and used the official radio just to be safe. No change.
Googled around a bit and here is a fix that worked for me...
Dialer -> ##778# ->Call -> Edit -> 000000 -> modem settings ->Rev A
Switch to enable from eHRPD and then hit back once. Menu->Commit.
Solved for me, but I don't know if it has adverse effects...

This makes your phone use the "old" version of EvDO. Basically what all 3g phones that don't have 4g radios use. If your area doesn't have 4g, doing this change shouldn't effect you at all and might get you 3g if you are stuck in 1x.

1X here all morning too. I'm in San Francisco.
On the plus side, my DL/UL speeds suck, but ping is 9 ms, so Mobile Hotspotting is still relatively fast.

You can in 3G with the Thunderbolt. I did it yesterday. I work in 4G but live in 3G, but this feature is what finally made me pick the TB over the Charge.
I started this morning with the 3G/4G toggle on 3G only, to save battery, and around lunch I switched 4G back on and it has been there since... I haven't had issues with 1X. Must be a regional thing.

Unable to get 4g back after using Phone App.

I selected the (CDMA auto PRL) for 3g only then didn't like it so i wanted to switch back but it would not let me. so now i'm stuck on 3g selected (CDMA auto PRL) every time I try to switch the setting to something else it just reverts back. Did anyone else have this issue? Please is their a fix? I need help to get the 4g back on my phone. (Galaxy S3 Verizon, rooted)
I had to reset the phone and install a different rom to make mine work. Hopefully that helps.

The same thing happened on my non-rooted Verizon S3 after using Phone Info app. Verizon tech said my phone was defective. When I went into Best Buy, they started switching my phone to a new S3 and it still did it...found it was the sim card. After I got a new one, it's been working ever since.

Does this Re-provision code work with 4.1.1, I've been reading that it only works with ICS builds? I can't get 4G lte ever since rooting my phone and I've tried every thing but this. I don't want to try it though unless I know for sure that it works with jelly bean.
My Build:
Clean Rom 5.5.1
Leankernel vzw tw jb 1.2.1 (imoseyon)
Baseband I535VRBLK3
AND...... I've flashed
VRBLK3.rpm.zip
VRLK3.modem.zip
The "phone info" app is stuck on CDMA auto (PRL)
APN is set to LTE - verizon internet.
WHAT DO I NEED TO DOO????!!! PLEASE HELP XDA GENIUSES!!!!

Id say delete the phone info app or wait until it's updated to be compatible with jellybean. 3g is almost then same as lte anyways at least with my phone I almost always have a strong lte signal. The s4 chip in the gs3 was designed to be a power saver on lte compared to older chips

Ok, so if I delete the app is my phone still stuck in 3g mode somewhere in else in the phone then? I guess what I mean is does deleting app force the phone to run off the APN settings? And if this still doesn't work can I use the re-provision code ( *2767*3855#) that I saw earlier in the thread? Finally is there a way to simply check if my SIM card is screwed?

Is there a way to turn off LTE CM10?

Yeah that's right turn it off! Seems they just added a tower in my area but I get crappy signal in my house and on HSDPA+ I get full bars. I thought this phone automatically connects to the "preferred network" but LTE in my house sucks and it keeps connecting to it.

I tried that on multiple radios and can't get it to stick. I also tried disabling it with the optional LTE toggle but even with it off the damn phone keeps connecting to LTE, gives me 1 bar and about a half meg down. I get full bars and almost 10 meg down with H+. Its not just the cm10 ROM because I went completely stock with your very helpful stickies and it does the exact same thing.

LTE not working for me. (90% SOLVED)

Update: 4/13
I was just able to figure it out and for the most part. The basic problem is that my network mode was stuck on GSM/WCDMA. Here is the solution:
1. go to settings/more.../mobile networks/network operators.
2. Once you click network operators, it should start searching automatically. If nothing comes up, then hit "search networks". FYI, sometimes, it decides to act wonky, so you'll have to exit out and come back in to get it to work. Eventually, it'll show you carriers in the area. Being an AT&T customer in Philadelphia. I saw three results. The first two were AT&T. The last one was T-Mobile. I don't think there is a difference in the AT&T options, but I just clicked the first one.
3. Once that's finished. Go back to the "mobile networks" menu and click on "network mode" and change your preferred network mode to LTE/GSM/CDMA.
4. The last step is change your APN. In the "mobile networks" menu, click on Access Point Names. Click on ATT LTE pta. Scroll to the bottom and click on APN Type. Change that to default, admin, fota, mms, supl, hip. Then hit okay. Hit File and Save. Then just select the circle next to ATT LTE pta. To be honest, just selecting ATT LTE PTA might be all that's necessary. You might not have to edit it.
Now, here's the catch. All of this stuff resets (with the exception of the edited APN) when you restart your phone. But it does work everytime.[/COLOR]
So, I just got the skyrocket (AT&T in Philadelphia) and have the 03-24 nightly on it. But for some reason, I can't get LTE to turn on. I've played with the different APN's. I've flashed the at&t radio on Chopstick's webpage, but no dice. I'm only getting H+.
I even called AT&T to make sure my data plan was LTE provisioned.
The only thing I can think of is that the ROM currently cannot change preferred network mode and mine is stuck on GSM/WCDMA preferred?
Please help.

How old is your SIM card?
When I got my Skyrocket, all network modes except LTE worked.
It ended up being an older version of a sim card that didn't support LTE.

I doubt that's the problem. I actually flashed back to Stock this morning and LTE worked great. I had speeds around 35mbps. However when I restored the backup of the CM10.1 rom, same issue. Only gettings H+ and speeds around 2mpbs.
THIS IS SO FRUSTRATING!!!! I don't get it. Am I really the only person with CM10.1 not getting LTE? It doesn't make any sense.

1. Are you using an AT&T Skyrocket? or is one from Rogers/others?
2. Are you using the official CM10.1? Which build?
3. What your baseband version?
4. What APN are you using?
5. In the mobile network settings/preferred network mode dialog in settings, what option is checked?
The only thing I can think of is that the preferred network mode for me is stuck on GSM/WCDMA preferred?
