I have a Nexus 1 right now and love the phone, however I'm feeling a bit bored at the moment. I have CyanogenMod on it right now and although i'm loving the specs and performance, I really want a larger screen.
I also have an upgrade. I'm currently thinking of just getting something cheap at Radio Shack like the Inspire and holding onto that for a while, at least a few weeks, to try it out.
Has anyone else done this? Now i know that the Galaxy S 2 should be coming out over here soon and that's ultimately what I'm waiting for, however I just want a breath of fresh air.
Does anyone here do this? And if so, what are your experiences?
Don't forget about craigslist if you're in a CL city. Excellent resource for cheap phones. And keep in mind it will be more than "a few weeks" before CM is available for SGS2

Yea i know it will be a while; however you do have the option to just keep switching the phones out as you please as long as it is within 30 days.

The Moto Triumph will be released here in the US on July 19th and a forum would be awesome. I started this topic over in the Android Hacking section without realizing that this was where it needed to be. About 5 of us over in the other section signed the petition. Hopefully we have more luck here. I predict a lot of themes and roms for this device will surface. It is thought to be a rebadged Huawei Ideos X6, so it might be easier to develop for than other Moto phones.

I'm keeping an eye on this phone. Rumor at HoFo was that Virgin was going up to $35 a month, but haven't seen any dates.
I really liked the Optimus V, and plan to move to Virgin sometime soon. A Triumph would be nice. Hopefully some 'slickdeals' happen on it soon.
So after much debating I decided to finally get rid of my g2x since I've been using the sensation more and more. I was planning on selling it about a week ago but the vibration motor died out on me. Today I finally received my replacement from tmobile and to my big surprise the one I got has no light bleeding at all!! So I figured I would post it here right away before posting it on ebay seeing as pretty much everyone has been complaining about the issue.
I will upload some pictures later since im using the phone app right now. I still have the original box and everything that came with it plus two cases that ill throw in there for free.

Yeah I would pay $200-250 for an extra G2x but no more really. It would be tempting at that price
I've been thinking about getting a backup one for a while now. *hint hint*
I bought mine on eBay for $255 plus shipping in excellent condition. The ones that were in mint condition only went for slightly (maybe $20) more. $300 would be the ultimate top end if you got super lucky.
I pretty much said $320 for negotiation purposes lol. Probably will end up going for around $300

Well I saw his post and figured I had two options make my own which would still be a form of hijacking...his then mine and if I undercut in mine I'd be screwing him... Or just post in his let him know my intent is to not compete but be equal so that they can both go. Thought it was the more mature approach. However it's always easy to see maturity doesn't go far on xda.

I honestly don't mind lol if people think you're giving them a better deal then that's their opinion and there's nothing I can do about it. Also if mine doesn't sell over here it'll sell on ebay or craigslist so I'm really not that worried about it

from price point its a good deal as long as you could make sure ... everything works.
from xda point of view I guess this phone is among the few that got most attention from devs so there is a lot of custom FW available for this little phone.

It's for my lady she played with a galaxy s 4g in a t-mobile store and liked it. she still has a nokia 5800 lol haven't heard back from the person, so... found a galaxy s 4g for $75 lol waiting to hear back as well.
Xda gave the phone gingerbread but that is where it ends. No cm7 no miui. Truthfully, this phone is not getting the support.
Good news is that this phone is a great phone and at that price is worth it.

My girlfriend was running cm7 nightlies. It runs really well, pulls home fast data on i9000 roms. As long as you go custom rom, it's a pretty good phone

we have a thread in the sensation sub-forum about gs2 and a lot of people didn't want to get it because of the quality issues with their vibrants and galaxie's. is it really that bad?
try to get the ime of the phone and call att and ask them to verify the ime if someone just reported if it was stolen or lost.. I did that before I buy a cheap phone from craigslist.. just to be cautious

as others said, trade, then sell the iphone for many moneys, buy an awesome newer 4g phone.
Iphone 4 would get OP enough money to buy a used Rezound or Gnex easy.
Ya iPhone 4 is definitely worth more (dollar value wise) than a tbolt, can easily buy u any 4g phone if u wanna stick with android. I agree with the two previous posters 100%

Don't forget the Kickstand! It is one of my favorite features of the phone especially since it is native to the phone with out a case.
I can agree with the trade too for money purposes. I would not trade just to stick with it though - I agree with the one who said Itunes not good. Apple is too restricted for me at least. Can't say much on the revolution you mentioned as I don't know that phone all that well.
I owned an iPhone 4, its not a bad phone if its jailbroken. I don't have any regrets with selling my iPhone for a thunderbolt. In my opinion Android is by far the better operating system.

Comes down to what you want to use your phone for and what *you* prefer. The fact that some other member prefers Android doesn't mean it should influence you at all.
Now if you become one of those #teamiphone or #teamandroid or #teamblackberry guys it becomes a problem

Not a good move IMO, the iPhone 4 isn't worth much more than the TB, but it's older, has a tiny screen, is thicker, only 3g, and half as useful as any android device. (I am forced to have an iOS device (currently iPad, used to be iPhone 4s) and Blackberry at work, and have the TB as my personal device so I get/have to use everything).
BTW, those saying you can get $300 for a USED iPhone 4 (not 4s), must know some real suckers. For the most part they can be had for under $200... USED Thunderbolts go for about $130-150.
Also, if you plan on selling it and getting a new device, do it soon. Before VZ charges you $30 dollars to "upgrade" starting april 22nd... That would certainly eat into any "profits" you are looking for.
One last thing, I'm not sure how VZ handles going back to a 3g only CDMA device. It's possible they could make you switch plans, meaning you could lose unlimited data. Not sure about that, but probably something you would want to check out.
The iPhone 4 is worth way more. $300 + used. A 32g 4 will easily get you that money. I can buy thunderbolts for $125. Do the trade. Sell it if you want and buy something else or trade it for anything.
EBay will get you good money. My coworker sold a 32g iPhone for $325 last week
I went from the iPhone 4 to the TB, love it but loved my iPhone too...if would have had a larger screen like the TB and the widgets, I would have been all set and probably would still be an iOS freak, lol!
Use it around the house still on wifi for the apps that I cannot get on my TB. You'll enjoy it if you do trade.
Still searching for an iPhone. Have a guy that wants to trade me his Bionic plus an OtterBox. I've got the Trident extended case on my Bolt.
What do you guys think? Never used a Bionic before.
