Root genius - legit?

Does anyone know the answer to this? Google has conflicting results, and chrome thinks the app is malicious, as well as the developers website. Other guides and forums say it works.
Supposedly can root MT6572, (if you have another method please help me in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3063048)
So, can anyone guarantee it either way. I'm kinda getting desperate, and looking into less common/trustworthy methods.
Anyone?

Tried "root genius" --> AVAST alerts me to not install it. --> I aborted the installation, but a lot of crappy malware got installed on my computer. So please, do yourself a favour and avoid using this crap.

[Mod]Enable fingerprint web sign-in

Fingerprint web sign-in is a feature that will let you sign in your account on a website without writing your username and password but with you fingerprint !! cool huh?
ROOT IS REQUIRED
So all you have to do is opening your favourite root explore app (x-plore is recommended)
go to the "system/etc" folder and find a file named "floating feature.xml" open it app as a text and do the following:
go to the end of the file and find this line
SEC_FLOATING_FEATURE_WEB_SUPPORT_FINGERPRINT_WEBSIGNIN>FALSE</SEC_FLOATING_FEATURE_WEB_SUPPORT_FINGERPRINT_WEBSIGNIN
change the FALSE to TRUE
save the file and reboot your phone
now when it boots up fo to settings/fingerprint scanner and set web sign-in to on
Thats it
NOTES: it will only work with samsung internet browser no 3rd party apps support such as chrome and others
clearing the data of the Internet app is recommended after dong the modifications

4g only in android M

Hi guys I updated to b820 eu
On b5xx or b3xx I use old method (by root and editing hw_defalults) to add 4g only
But it's not working on b820 and probably on all marshmallow versions
I hope u guys suggest a way to fix this and add 4g only again
Tnx in advance
-------solution-----
req : rooted
1.first find your vender
1-1:use *#*#2846579#*#*
1-2: in opend app click on "network information query"
1-3:click on "vender country info"
1-4:you see your country (like eu ,normal,....)
2. go to root folder then go to "cust folder after that open "hw" folder now open vender folder(if. u vender is normal open normal , if your vender is eu open eu folder , .....) now open "xml" folder then with a text editor open "hw_defaluts.xml"
now search "4g"
you found 2 result secend item must be
"hw_add_4g_only="250"
replace your country MCC (can find that from wikipedia) instead of 250
restart your phone
now u have 4g only again

probably you open wrong folder
in cust folder 3 folder must exist you must open your folder which have same name with your vender
others folder not effective
also for 3g only 2-3 line before add 4g you must see "remove_3g_only=number"
you must remove that number

I see other threads for J700F/H/M etc.. But nothing for the J700P.
Same here. I need the root to disable the hotspot limit. But it doesn't seem like the J700P is recieving much attention.

first try to get TWRP for your phone and then flash Chainfire's SuperSu zip in recovery mode or check following website of developer if your phone is already supported and you can do without recovery

Are you using the phone on AT&T? If not it's not possible due to it being locked down. If you are on AT&T you may not have a correct data plan

You just gave dangerous instructions, remember The OP is running MM 6.0, if they're running the latest version they cannot downgrade and attempting can fully brick there device.

There is a methode that i have recently found working for all AT&T mobiles :
1) Download "Settings Database Editor" in appstore
2)Open that app and find scroll until you find a setting named "tether_entitlement_check_state", click on it
3)Click on "edit value"
4)You will find a number down to "edit setting" (5 or 4 usully), remplace them by -1
5)Click on "save changes" and enjoy
