Hello,
Simple question but searching hasn't found an answer (or my googling skills are getting rusty). When using the keyboard OK with CM10 I can set the language to US but not UK/GB so it is hard to type £ and things like @ and " have swapped place. Can a GB layout be selected and how?
Thanks in advance and thanks to the cyanogen team for a great ROM

Guess it wasn't that simple a question after all

Mate I tried to find a way, including third party apps, to get a UK Keyboard working on Cyanogen based ROMs.
One of a few reasons (mostly Tablet specific OS Customisation) why I stick to ROMs based on Stock on my TF300T :fingers-crossed:
Just came across the same issue, switching back to a stock based ROM.
You'd have thought it would be easy to implement, guess not

Does anyone know if when ported it'll look like the nexus 7. I recently saw images of a nexus 7 with 4.1.2 and it had slight changes to the home screen that seemed cool. Jw if we'll get that or if it was just got the nexus.

It wasnt a real big update tho. Only things added were the portrait mode on the Nexu 7 and the one touch notification system. So i dont think an update on our side will happen...but who knows.
I believe lit been merged into the latest cm10 builds.

Can you post examples of what you're looking for? Maybe what you're looking for isn't specific to 4.1.2 and can be replicated on any version.
I've got CM10 with the 4.1.2 changes, but I run Apex Launcher and don't know what the Nexus 7 looks like.

Specifically the launchpad on the side like it is on phones. I also haven't rooted my pad yet. I've had my phone rooted with cm10 for awhile now and really like it but I'm off put about losing warranty and the instructions seem harder. A lot of the instructions I've found require using a terminal instead of Odin.

That looks to me like a function of the launcher, not the version of Android. Have you experimented with launchers to see if any do this? I use Apex and it doesn't appear to allow the dock to be on the left side but maybe others (or even the pro version of Apex) might.

Any news from Asus about the update on JB?

One thing I noticed about the 4.1.2 update was the ability to add multiple users to the tablet. I would love to have this option on my tf300.. Anyone know when this will be available for us? Someone mentioned that the tf300 might not even get this update due to such small changes, but I feel like the ability to add multiple users is a pretty big change, and hopefully one big enough to allow us to eventually get the update on the tf300.

I may have misspoken. I talked to my buddy that has a nexus 7 and he said his new update was 4.2.1.. So if that's the newest version that is the one I'm talking about having the multiple user option.
Hi All !
Since Asus made several updates for the keyboard dock and not only for the tablet, is there among the alternate roms for the Transformer, some roms which go along with alternate software for the keyboard dock either ? It is even possible to manually update or flash the dock software ?

Hi,
I have a 300t unlocked with twrp recovery.. I would change for a better rom, prova 4.2.1 but I don't want to loose the full support to my docking station.. Could you suggest me a rom?
Thanks
Do you mean the keyboard dock? Every rom I have tried supports it. I'd highly recommend CleanRom

CleanROM & Asus Jelly Bean Hydro support mobile dock. I know that blackbean & Cyanogenmod 10 don't support mobile dock. Could you tell me does Paranoid Android 2.99 support mobile dock? I would like install Android 4.2.1
afaik all 4.1 based ROMs have it - from Baked I know the only problem now (in a tester version, public has also some other keys not working) are the different keyboard layouts as you can only have the qwerty so far...
btw next time ask in Q&A section, as this is a question and not something you develop
I know that sometimes the key mapping can be wrong, for example @ and " get mixed up, but that is down to the which touch keyboard you use. if you keep the default asus keyboard for the hardware keyboard in language and input settings they will be in the correct places.

Basically...
All 4.1.x roms support the keyboard dock
All 4.2.x roms do not.
CM10 (4.1.x) SUPPORTS the keyboard dock. CM10.1 (4.2.x) didn't as of last week. I'm about to go look to see if that's been fixed. It was fixing on the 700, and they were talking about pushing those changes to the 300, as it should be the same.....
R: Which custom rom has full docking station supporto?
Ok so maybe better check if cyanogen team fixed it!

"So I put my phone into airplane mode and threw it... worst transformer ever. -.-" -My friend
Paranoid Android v2.54 supports the dock too. I haven't found anything wrong except for the fact that it doesn't display the docks battery percentage. Everything else works.

I don't know how blackbean acts on JB, but on ICS I had full dock support. All the hotkeys worked flawlessly.
I would think that any ROM based on stock would have the dock work? I know I used CM9 for the longest time and the dock always gave me issues, but if I used CleanROM or Hydro it would work fine (both are based on Stock not AOKP)
I appreciate the new design and utility of being able to use some of the apps offered on the lockscreen from my own tablet, but whatever happened to the 4.1.1 slide screen where you can use the camera and go straight away to Google Now. It's not a big deal, but I do miss the convenience. Is there any way to do something about it?
Thanks.

I wish the different apps i use could retain the keyboard i'm using when flippng between apps. I like to use the hacker's keyboard in terminal, and others for emaol [swift, google, asus would have caught that...//smile] etc. I know the os ctrls the keyboard, but if only ... //whine over and happy again.

Keyboard Manager the paid version allows you to choose a keyboard per app.
