This is a Full Smooth Maximus X theme For the SM GingerClone ROM to give the look of using Smooth Maximus X with the feel of using SM GingerClone.
The framework theme is in a flashable.zip separate from the apps
Download the Framework theme Here: SMXthemefor_GC.zip >> Download!
Below will be a download link to a CWM flashable zip of a few of the themed apps from SMX.
I made these files separate because some people may want a setup similar to mines where i use the Framework from GingerClone but these themed apps from SMX.
The SMXappsfor_GC.zip includes the following apps:
Browser
Calculator
Camera
Battery Calibrator
Contacts
Dialer
Gallery
Gmail
Task Manager
Memo
Music
Music (Miui)
Messages (MMS)
MyFiles
Phone
Settings
Spart Parts
SuperUser
Swype
Voice Recorder

If you want them all use the flashable version, otherwise to push them use a file explorer that allows root access like root explorer or super manager and copy the apps from somewhere on your SD card to system/app

And with my rom you have to set the default notifications with touchwiz apps (such as sms) cause I replaced the touchwiz sounds with nexus s sounds. Go to the settings in your sms app to set the notification sound

love this theme!!! just 2 things i noticed, i still have the green power control, and my dial pad dont look like the screenshot in the X thread. flashed the framework and apps. power control sticks out like a sore thumb with all this blue
love ginger clone, love this theme though
Have you rebooted your phone since flashing the theme? If so try flashing it again I had to flash twice to get it working right myself
Sent from my SGH-T839 using XDA App
just re-flashed, this time apps first than framework just in case its that, and.......
still the green power control tabs, and still the damn pink lines in the messaging app too. the dialer buttons was just because the ss shows them selected i think, they are blue then.
is the power control and messaging app not themed too?
Hmmm maybe you should redownload then flash cuz there should be nothing green in the theme its all black and blue
Also if you don't like the stock messenger app I suggest using gosmspro its pretty nice I got sick of the stock messenger the day I got the phone lol

Hello, I made a theme on MIUI, but for some reason I can't get it working on Weapon G2X..
I got the notification bar icons to work, but I don't really know how to mod the drop down notification bar. I have all the icons in the MTZ in the SystemUI file.
Could someone help me port this over?
I attached Backup_0.mtz (the theme from MIUI).
SystemUI.apk (My modded SystemUI.apk which has the notification bar icons from the MIUI theme)
(the framework that must be modded I'm assuming is framework-res.apk? Or how else do I mod the notification drop down bar?)
Thanks for any help!

Holy hell. This might bring me over to CM7 again. Once you MIUI its hard to go back. I wish the main apps like the dialer and messaging app would be installable on other roms.

I miss MIUI too. Unfortunately for me stuff was just not working at all, 3g connectivity broke, and certain things wouldn't work properly.
On weapon most of the pulldown is in systemui.apk. the other basics is in frameworkres. I have alot going on lately but if I have time I will look at it.

It's getting there. I just have a problem with the time being in white so you can't see it, and blotchy black colors on the drop down bar.
Also, the status bar when closed just looks like a purely white straight across line. I wanna make it a little more gradient towards the bottom. Anyone good with doingthings like that?
Edit:: How do I edit the color of the text of "Emergency" (I think it's the carrier name).
And also edit the colors of the background of the status bar expanded? I've changed every png so far. I'd like to make the status bar black until you pull it down, then it turns white. Possible?
It is possible. The easiest way I have found is using partially transparent status bars. As for the text colors its in various XML files. Their names pretty much will give them away.
For the backgrounds of where it shows notifications like download and such is app_item_background.9 but if your talking about the bar itself I think you will have to make semi major mods

Dang :S
I can't open the xml files, it always comes up as random squares. I'm using notepad++ btw.
Any reason why they're coming up weird?
And yeah, like I changed the bottom tab of the drop down bar, and I changed the background for text and for the quick toggles, but the actual bar still seems to be black on the background. The things I changed just seem to be overlays. Do you know how to change the actual entire bar?
You have to decompile Apks before you can edit the xml with notepad++

There is a great thread for theming by theimpalar747 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=916814
If I remember correctly I use apk manager 4.9 to decompile and recompile. You have to set up some Java to work on certain system apk files, and the resources.arsc file can bite you in the a$$ sometimes. I replied to you in my thread btw, did they answer your question?
I also like the villainrom theming script, makes it easy to make flashable zips. But that is just my 2¢.

Yes thank you it did
I'm slowly piecing it together. For some reason though I tried changing all the png's and it still doesn't change the actual color from black to white.
I'm wondering now if it's even a png for the true background of the status bar.
I will definitely check out the application for compiling/decompiling, hopefully I can get this thing working lol
You know, honestly, the new Weapon 2.7 theme I can totally live with.
If someone of greater knowledge would like to take over my project though, I wouldn't object lol. I just don't really know what I'm doing, I've had my phone stuck in bootloops like 5 times now -.-
If you want and I get some free time I will look at porting it to 2.7 for you once I get through updating all my crap.

I'm done trying it out for the night. I'll continue testing PNGs tomorrow.
So far I have all the icons ported, and some proper white backgrounds. But then there's random black blotches and the clock color is white, gotta change it to black.
Thank you for all your help so far!

That's great to here, because I am in the process of trading my Galaxy S II for an Atrix 2. I missed Motorola too much. I was hoping there was an app to remove the carrier label from the status bar.
I could be wrong, but I don't see anything in Rom Toolbox to get rid of the AT&T wording in the status bar. But what you can do, is change all of the graphic icons (like battery, signal, wifi, just to name a few). Sometimes I would choose a rom just based on these small details! Lol. Now, I can get past that and actually choose a rom based on performance!

Thanks for clarifying. There is another app called carrier name that may do it, I assumed Rom Toolbox would do it also. If not I will do it the fun way
Has anyone running lfaber06's ROM attempted to change their CPU values with ROM Toolbox yet? I'm running his ROM/Theme with no issues as of yet. I just changed my SD Boost Value to 2048kb from 1024kb via ROM Toobox (Pro Version) and thus far, no issues as of yet... Anyone else toyed around with this app? If so what have they experimented with? I saw in an earlier post someone changed fonts and notification icons, etc. Anything else? Such as kernal tweaks, etc?
Hey, after a few searches, I know this has been brought up elsewhere, but I'm just looking for updates.
I just changed over to handcent so I can have emojis, but now I'm realizing that the app doesn't work with one of my favorite features: the lock screen shortcut notification for sms/mms messages. What I'm looking for is some way that when you swipe that circle with the unread count for sms that it brings you to handcent (or whatever other 3rd party sms app) instead of the stock messaging app. I figure there has to be a way..
You're talking about on ICS TW(Stock setup) right? I don't believe that would be able to be done without a MOD of some sort.
I think you can do what you want, with a bit of a different look, using something like widget locker or some other lockscreen replacement app.

Thanks for the reply. Yea, ICS TW for now (synergy to be exact, not that it matters in this case). I really like the stock setup for the lockscteen, but I'll check out widget locker. I guess the best solution would be if someone made emojis work on rooted stock, but I'm not sure how much work that entails. I've only seen it available on AOSP

I'm having trouble visualizing what you're both talking about, however I haven't used Synergy. Are y'all talking about the four lockscreen shortcuts or a widget on the lock screen in addition to the lockscreen shortcuts?

If you talking about the missed sms count to swipe to the left, dunno.
As for the sms icon/app you can change it under shortcuts where you toggle it on and off, you can click it and change it to your sms program.
Yeah, the OP wants to change where the missed message count brings him when he swipes it.
Long shot, but is there an ASOP messaging app we can use? And would that be able to be recognized as "stock"? I know ASOP has a mod for emojis

I did this on my old RAZR so maybe it's similar. What I did was rename the stock MMS to .bak then moved my preferred MMS app to system/app folder and renamed it to the stock MMS rebooted and it worked. Worth a shot, I'm on eclipse or I'd try it.

If it breaks anything you just delete the file you moved and thanks the original back to mms.apk
I have an inverted version of the stock MMS app (4.0.4-eng.tvap624.20120702.011632) and I can say that the notification that pops up on the stock lockscreen is unique to the Samsung mms app. This means notifications using any other mms app will not show up as a swipable event on the stock lockscreen. Inverted stock is a great version of the mms app. I just renamed secmms.apk (I believe) with .bak, put in the new app, renamed it as the original, set permissions, and rebooted. I have emoji support and messages on an all black background. It's nice.

I know, I'm actually using Handcent right now for emojis (didnt want to pay GoSMS just to send emojis).
It seems like lockscreen support is probably a complete no go unless someone somehow mods the stock mms for emojis (no idea how intense that process might be).

No, actually. It doesn't. That never occurred to me, and explains a lot. It's a heavily deoxed stock ROM. But I use X-Note Zero Edition. I'll just find the touchwiz launcher from somewhere and use that.
I am not 100 percent sure but the launcher is part of the whole Samsung experience and hooked into the OS though more than just the launcher.

Well, I know that you can't use any of the S Widgets on launchers other than the Touchwiz one - even if TW is installed. The dev of the ROM said that the framework hasn't been touched, and that he only removed all the bloat and themed the ROM. So, it could be that Touchwiz is a prerequisite for the S-Apps. Although, S-Note still works fine.
If you have s note then you should be able to get s planner
