I searched and found a thread about how to root my device and install firmware. So, I rooted first which worked. Then I tried a firmware from this site, namely MaPan7650B. When I did this my tablet boots up like all is well but my touch screen does not respond anymore. So, I need help removing this firmware to go back to defaults. I have no idea how to do it.
I'm desperate.

First, you should need to know which actual model of your MID.
MaPan & a few variants model mostly came from Eken W70 by different modules, mostly they change using different Touch Panel Chip Controller, you should have know it.
Even Eken W70 is came from different PCB version that they modified the board quite frequently.
Try to browse the "FirmwareInstall\config" folder, you should see the Brand name & Model no. .fwc file.
To select the right one to flash your device is just put the "+" in front the .fwc file.
If you haven't found one suitable, just try to search the different source of W70 WM8850 firmware, you might see a collection of different .fwc config file there.
Give a few tries, then you should able to find out what Touch Panel Controller is using.

Hello all.
I have a Ouku Horizon (p801w) bought through Lichtinthebox.com
I am very happy but I would like a other version of Android.
I'm no expert on this, so I ask your help.
Now I have:
Android 2.2.2
Baseband version iris_p800w_V1.20
Kernel 2.6.35.7 root @ scm-Perf # 3
Build number FRG83g
software version iris_p801w_V1.21
Hardware version IRIS_MP
I would like Gingerbread, but a newer version of Froyo is also good.
would you like to give to a HOW_TO?
hi
did you were able to rooted it?
I rooted mine but when I tried to backup the rom so I can flash a new one
it boot loops now I'm stuck...
boot ouku horizon : universal Androot still doesn't work
i tried androot on my ouku and it doesn't work. you say you managed to root it?
how did you do?
i'm on linux mint and my phone in on froyo.
I obviously tried to boot with the latest version of superoneclick. it opens properly etc BUT it keeps saying "waiting for device"
regards
How to get Root to flash this phone as described in the Russian forum forum.china-iphone.ru in this topic viewtopic.php?f=37&t=14382
careful though
i sure don't understand russian. according google translation, this just tells you how to use superoneclick on your ouku.
with me it didn't work so far.
i'm trying again and i'll come back with more info if it works. if there is no more message after that one, just make a educated guess.
Hi!
I have Xoom Wi-Fi MZ604.
Android Version: 3.2
I have a question about installing other stock image:
My Xoom is MZ604.
i can install other version of the image?
I mean,that my MZ604 is Build H.6.2-24.
can i install Build HWI69 ? this version is for US.
And what will be the difference?
someone?
I'm pretty sure that i have seen guide to do this, but i don't remember where.
if you look at the product details at http://developer.motorola.com/products/software/
it would appear that you would be able to flash another stock image from a different region - as you have the same hardware a product number
i would assume that if you have tried to install an mz602(for example) it wouldnt be compatible as hardware differs.
Ok, thanks .
that's what i meant: to install othe version of that stock image(HWI69 )
Dear all,
I'm sorry if it is not the good place to ask help but i search a solution on forum, blog, google... and i'm blocked.
I have a samsung nexus s which coulnd't boot. It stay with "Google" on screen.
I try to find the recevory mod, in order to make a factory reboot, but the recovery mod is broken also. The little android robot is open with a red exclamation mark.
I have this information on the boot menu :
Fastboot mode
Product Name : HERRING
HW Version : REV 52
Bootloader version : I9020XXLC2
Baseband version : I9020XXKI1
Carrier Info : EUR
SERIAL number : xxxxxxx
Lock State : Locked
I try a method with ODIN, i try to root the phone, but the system is shut. ODIN failed, the root also failed even if the phone is half reconized with the kies samsung driver.
So i don't know what to do now... lose the information isn't a problem, i just want a working phone.

And i did a mistake first time, in posting in the wrong section http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2078419
Download this: http://goo.gl/0K6eh then install it.
Instructions:
1. Select the CORRECT device and build (what you are currently running) <-- Select the EXACT device model. For example: i9023, i9020A, etc.
2. Configure your drivers if you haven’t already using the driver guide (If you aren’t sure use Step 3 of the driver guide to test your drivers).
3. If you need to backup your important data.
4. Unlock your device
5. Root your device
*Try out the other toolkit features by pressing the buttons, each button explains what it does first. So the best way to get familiar with the toolkit is simply to press the buttons and read what it says.

Thanks ej8989!
Thank you so very much. hopefully I can get it working somehow now.
Just to make sure. I get everything right. my phone says it is i9020AUK...so it is i9020a right?
I have the Motorola Razr HD LTE (Canadian on Rogers wireless)
Basically, this was my phone and I got 2 of them. I rooted both only used one as my actual phone the other as a backup (and also to play around with, flash custom roms and basically learn/fail/succeed as it was my first time rooting) as luck would have it my phone at the time broke and was and has been replaced with probably 15 devices since then...
I have always loved and kept this phone around - the HDMI output was always a favourite feature of mine (Chromecast has made this much easier on my Nvidia Shield TV (running 5.1.1 not AndroidTV obviously)
Sorry for the rambling I will get to the point...
My device is the XT925
Android Version 4.2.2

I used the motorola website to get my bootloader unlocked
I believe somewhere down the line my IMEI was erased and it currently displays 0 - I do have my IMEI visible under my sim tray slot and also on the original box.
I would basically like to return my device to stock - I have spent the past 2 years occasionally checking here and other sites looking for stock and believe i was able to download it today from firmware.center
I downloaded
7.7.1Q-144_VQL_S3-49_USERSIGNED_CANADA_SIGNCanadaIRDUnlk_USAVANQURGRCANA005.0R_CFC_fastboot.xml.zip
I only have access to a Mac or Ubuntu 15.10
The device ALWAYS restarts to the AP FASTBOOT SCREEN whenever the battery dies or I restart the device
My recovery is CWM 6.0.4.4
Can anyone tell me if i am looking in the right place?
I am going in the right direction?
is the firmware i downloaded the correct one i should be using so i don't brick my phone?
is there anything i didnt include in this post that is needed to help me?
THANK YOU to anyone who replies to me

Hello all, this is my first post.
I have joined the site because I am looking for help with an unbranded tablet that I have.
I would like to use this tablet as a very basic wall mounted control point for google home, in order to control my smart lights and other smart devices.
However, the tablet is old and has an old version of android. Subsequently it appears that google home cannot be installed on it.
It will also not update to a newer version, potentially because the 'firmware' is unsupported? I am unsure because this is all very new to me.
Because the tablet doesn't appear to have a 'brand', I am struggling to find any support or step by step instructions.
I know very little about 'flashing, roms, rooting etc., however I have managed to root it through kingo, but don't know what needs to happen next.
The device info is:
Model: N98
Allwinner A33 quadcore,
Android 4.4.2 (kitkat?)
Firmware: V2.0
Kernal ver' 3.4.39
Build number: astar_y3-eng 4.4.2 KVT49L 20151208 test-keys
I've also included a couple of photos of its motherboard.
Any help would be greatly appreciated and what steps I need to take just to get google home up and running on it,
thank you very much in advance
