Hi guys,
I am having a couple of issues after installing CM10 on my One X.
- Whatsapp doesn't work anymore. Whenever I try to launch it, it says, "We can't identify your device." I've tried reinstalling the app, and even restoring the data from my Titanium backup, but to no avail. Any advice?
- Battery life is compromised. I had heard that CM10 actually improves the life, compared to having Sense running, but the opposite has been true so far. It is currently at 50% after barely five hours post-charge without heavy use. In fact, it was on standby for much of that duration.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Anyone?
(If this is the incorrect forum, could a mod please move it to the appropriate place?)
Not sure what the problem could be bro. I use whatsapp on my Bravo just fine using CM

After updating I can not turn the mobile internet on and when I am trying to connect it to my PC as HTC sync it is taking about 2 mins until it is connected. Has anyone the issues?

no
restart your phone ?
Tried many times. Nothing helps. Thinking about downgrading to froyo. Is it possible?

My issue is with battery life and charging time. My phone now runs out of battery in about five hours which includes two quick calls and checking Twitter once an hour. If I don't touch it at all it will run dry in about eight hours. And now it takes four hours to get a full charge

You must have something doing syncs, like HTC Sense, to drain battery. Battery life is better with GB over Froyo. Go to Apps manager and see what is running. My battery life definitely improved with the update.

I had the same problem connecting to my data. Go into mobile network settings, then access point names, hit menu and hit reset to defaults. As far as the PC connection and battery life I have had no problems with. Maybe try a good memory management app and change your sync settings refresh settings to not update as often or to manual. I get about 12 hours of battery with heavy/constant use

I would go with one of the roms that are built from the stock rom such as cleardroid. they look and act like the stock but have less bloatware and crap to them. they have a GB option and many of them have developed them to help out with battery life.
After scouring multiple sources today, I found the source of the battery drain some of us are seeing after the update. It is caused by the dialer app remaining on after making or receiving calls. If you check your battery stats, you'll see dialer is responsible for way more than normal battery drain even if you only made a single call early in the day. The unofficial fix for this (until HTC or Google issue a proper fix) is to go into menu/settings/sound. Under incoming calls, uncheck all 3 boxes then reboot the phone. Some claim any one of the three helped them, but others like me had to uncheck all 3. After making these changes earlier today, I am finally seeing the improved battery life promised with GB.
Hope this helps someone else too.

Thanks for the info. Currently testing.
So, has anyone else experimented with these settings? Seen the Dialer battery hog phenomenon?

Hey all, I've been toying with Android phones rooting and such since the Samsung Moment. I'm no dev and not a noob, but have a problem with any AOSP rom, in that for some reason, some app (im assuming) is in wake lock. I have a 3gb monthly data plan and reach 65-70% of that within a few days of flashing a AOSP rom. So for now I'm using sense only and it's killing me! Any advice, input on the matter is greatly appreciated. Oh...I do not install Maps or Facebook btw. Thanks in advance!

I'd suggest downloading gsam battery monitor or better battery stats to see what's really going on. I purchased better battery stats but to be honest I don't use it. Gsam is good enough for me, and its free.

Also if you go to usage details in android it should tell you what's using your data

I highly recommend installing DroidWall, it's a firewall for android. You can control wifi, data, and roaming for individual apps.
So I've been in a war against wakelocks for some time now. Unfortunately, I'm losing, so I'm here to find some assistance. I know the Skyrocket is plagued by battery issues, so improvement (not perfection) is the goal.
I'm currently running the latest stable SlimROM 4.3 build. Currently, my battery drain is 9.2% per hour with limited usage. I have Gsam and BBS installed. The issue has followed my phone and persists across ROMs. I am meticulous with my installation process, ensuring that data, ROM, cache, and dalvik are all wiped multiple times. My recovery is the latest CWM.
I'll upload images below if I'm able (low post count and whatnot).
Thanks in advance!

We already have a wakelock thread, use it.

Alrighty, sorry about that.

So dumb question, but I'm on the XDA app and can't find the thread. I didn't see it when I used the in-app search either.
Would you be able to point me in the correct direction?

EDIT: I'm an idiot, never mind.
If you have the same drain on stock ROM too, then there are 2 options:
1) Your cellular reception is bad.
2) Your battery is bad (or just not original - which in batteries is almost always the same).
I think you're looking in all the wrong places.
I'm not allowed to post in the developers forums yet do to post limit restrictions with a newer user. Figures I could just post right here for now, anyways I just wanna give props to the builders that made that rom. I have tried quite a few rooms recently and it is the only one that doesn't seem to have any bugs. Also the layout looks super clean, if your looking for one of the most stable 4.3.1 roms I highly recommend you give OSE a shot.
So how's it running for you a week or so into it? Any force close or random reboot?

how is the battery life? cm10.2 is dreadful for me i am getting 10-15%drop in an hour with minimal usage.
Couple force close, No random boots though. Super stable rom for me.

Really? I've had excellent battery life with both ose and cm10.2 snapshot.

I ran it as my DD for about 2 weeks. I had atleast 1-2 random reboots every couple of days and it usually occurred when the phone would freeze during game play or multi-tasking. Also, coming off wifi to cellular data sometimes required me to turn off and turn back on data to get it to connect. Other than that, solid rom, smooth and fast.
So I tried the Moonraker Rom yesterday, was awesome IMO. I just had one issue, when I would reboot my phone it would register my battery as dead and shut off before reaching the UI. But if I plugged it in, turned it on, then unplugged it it would read the correct percentage and stay that way until reboot. Is there a fix for this floating around? Kinda reminds me of the depressing "iOS x.x.xx tethered jb" days lol. Thanks in advance

Yes, no, maybe so? I'm currently using "dr no v3.0" and its great. Smooth, reliable, fast. But I would really like to experiment with the moonraker rom, just don't want to deal with the battery issue, am I the only one having it?

No fix that I'm aware of

Pretty sure it was a log issue. I cleared battery logs with a recalibrator and it didn't happen anymore.
