Hey all, had a question for you..I have the Metro PCS Galaxy S3 and am running cm 10..today I updated to the latest nightly build and now the programming is messed up..internet still works, but my phone number isnt correct..any way to resolve this issue? Any help would be appreciated

As u mentioned u flashed or updated to latest nightly of cm10 , U should know dat nightly are very unstable packages with lot of bugs they are jst for dev's and not for daily use purpose , U should again flash ur phone to latest stable cm10

I'll try that..though I remember looking for stable and didnt seem to see one..also without touchwiz you cant use the keypad to program it manually..so not sure flashing any cm10 will help

that didnt work..any links to the stock rom? since that appears to be the only way to do it..or so I read
Found a stock rom..
Ok well found a stock Rom..and put that on..would of reprogrammed it myself but didnt have my MIN# so called Metro and got them to do it..problem solved

He can install also Arakmar's hybrid kernel
facing a horrible lag even after installing arakmars kernel. after a day or so of working perfectly, when i unlock the phone the touchscreen doesn't respond for about two minutes, and while this goes away on reboot, i end up rebooting once a day to keep it working.

Dude this post is five months old
Then I think we only had build 3
If you flash that kernel what is the point in having build 4
Flash build 4 and then try flashing g3mod or arakmar's one and your phone will be fine

Install Bam kernel 14fix, it looks like you rooted from a valuepack and that's why wifi broke.
And no, all ICS roms currently used are for developers and are in no way fit as a daily driver, all of them still contain video recording issue and lag issues.
Just use custom gb roms for the time being if you want a completely stable rom.

i flashed with PDA_BCK_CF-root_universal_beta14fix and now wifi is working thnks
now if i want to install other custom firmware what should i do install zip file and copy the same to sd card and reboot to revocery mode or via odin or still i need to do something else before

So after installing this amazing rom and loving it for a week or two; I see a kernel update and install it. Everything went smooth but I lost my wifi after the fact. I was hoping someone could help me keep the kernel and get the wifi going. nothing about wifi problems were stated and it work fine previously. I wiped everything and even tried the wifi fix manager thingy i got with the ics rom i was running previously to see if that would do it but to no avail. I wanted to ask the developer but need some 10 post so help a bro out!
p.s....gotta give props to the man who had me running jb before anyone of my friends with newer phones!!! RANDOMBLAME!!!!

ditto, this happend with my Paranoidandroid install as well. kernel allowed me to stay running without crash, but wifi is a pretty big letdown...
unfortunatly, without the kernel itself being fixed, or the wifi module fixed, we are stuck looking for another alternate kernel... oh yeah, we are pretty limited.

found out a very possible reason . are you using his kernel with another system or is this all jt only? he mentioned something about kangbang changing drivers.

So I'm only using it with jelly time or jb. I'm flashing the os then the kernel cuz the os installs its own. This is an updated kernel for the os.I'm thinking i should maybe wipe the cache partition after the the os then do the kernel but at the same time I would think that other problems would be happening if that was the issue. What do you think?

does the system function without the kernel update?
if it does, you might want to hold off on updating til the ROM updates for it.

The ROM was updated and the kernel included in the update! Amazing rom , highly recommended especially with the updated kernel!
I flashed PAC MAN ROM the latest one coz i wanted JB . BUt i am facing 2 major problems.!
1.NO Network When i Insert SIM
2.The Phone restarts every 2mins. any solutions>?
I reverted Back to GB. atm. i want JB. can anyone help me with this? :angel:

After trying , changing , applying all types of hook and crook trying almost every rom .... i am still helpless..??
I know "THE STOCK ROM" is the most stable...but gradually the system goes slower ... making hell out that..??
I think ICS roms available there are which are amazingly fast but lacks full stability....!!!
Can anyone please suggest me a pretty usable ICS rom ...??? "WITH WIFI BUGS FIXED (even other too)..??"

you can give a shot to the cyanogenmod 11 kitkat rom by galaxy freak and flash pure performance to that. i have done it and its working quite well for me. also can give a try to pico cm11 form armv6

I tried cm 11 rc 1 .... but lags on my phone...I also noticed that cm 11 is not performing well on some Pico's.... I don't know what the problem is....??

flash pure performances mod to that . it reduces the lag to great extent or else try the other rom which i mentioned. it does not lag.

I knew about that bro.... but thanks....!!! .... cm 11 too becomes gradually slower after installing 40+ apps ...but that's not the case with Ics Roms...

tried this too ... but WiFi bug still persists .... appears after a month or so...
I also tried its updated version from the same "OP" called Cody Rom (build 2) ... but in that too very minor bugs like instagram not working and WiFi problem sometimes....

I know but every or other ROM has bugs but thats not a major bugs..
Wi fi bug is there in cm 10.2 as well.. So you have to leave with it if you want smoothness.. As you describe in your question..
