[Q] HTC Sensation bootloop PLS Help - HTC Sensation

hi there,
I hope you can help me
I use on my HTC Sensation VenomS 1.4.1
Everything was fine, I tried different Kernels and stay at last at Bricked 1.4.
Today I tried again PYDX but then become a bootloop .
i have
hboot 1.27 and s-on
flashed with 4ext SmartFlash
still have access to bootloader and 4EXT.
Can anyone help me?

Try to flash newest RUU 3.33.401.6 with radio while in fastboot, then try to flash the desired rom again with kernel.
If you cant, you must do s-off, set the supercid 11111111, and then try to flash RUU (safest way to update firmware,radio...) and then try to flash the rom.
If you dont want to do that, just flash any rom with stock kernel (like ARHD 6.8) and you'll be ready to go.
Hope it helps

[Q] Can't flash ROM anymore need help

Hi,
After Super Wipe try to install a new ROM, all goes well but when ROM is installing it stops and powers off the phone.
Tried 2 different ROM's (ELEGANCIA and Dark sense) same result just stops, so I can't flash a ROM. :crying:
UPDATE: Viper ROM with Aroma works fine now???
Anyone got a hint what could be wrong??
For the record:
My Sensation is S-off
HBOOT 1.27.1111
RADIO 11.24a.3504.31_M
FIRMWARE 3.33 RUU
Have you tried to flash the boot.img manually when flashed the new kernel? That helped some people before and managed to boot up their devices. Give it a try.

[Q] bootloop htc sensation XE, need Help!

I have HTC Sensation XE and a few days ago, i was just tried to install a Custom Rom by CM10. I found a video on Youtube that there only three steps to do that (Flashing a Custom Rom with S-ON)!
1. Unlock Bootloader (and I've done!)
2. Install Recovery (CWM Recovery Touch)
3. Flash the Custom ROM
And I tried that all...
Everything looks fine, from the moment i install the Recovery and then the Custom Rom, but its stuck on the HTC Logo. Power Off, and then Stuck on HTC Logo again, and again... It never stopped! And the backdoor just getting HOT!
I tried to wipe cache and dalvik cache and all the things i used to be doing when i flash a Rom. But the problem still exist.
Then I flash the Stock Rom with this Recovery (Since I forgot to make a back up system), and its fine, although the wifi isn't working!
Then i searching somewhere and found that the Recovery is 4EXT, and the I flashed the 4EXT Recovery and its succeed.
Then I tried to Flash the Custom ROM again, but I found the same problem, another bootloop.
I tried everything i could find in here, but it's nothing...
It's about 2 days and i can't do anything with my Sensation XE.
All i know about my HTC Status is, S-ON, Unlocked and the HBOOT 1.29.0000
is there any easy to understand way to make My Sensation XE Back?
Please Help...
Thanks in advance...

Hi,
In 4 EXT ,did you enable "Smartflash" just before flashing the ROM ?
For more information ,look HERE
Then
Don't know if this works with Hboot 1.29, but you could try to relock Hboot and flash the appropriate RUU for your device. Then you can start again.:good:
Edit: I just made a quick post on how I solved a similar problem here.
Good luck.

What happened when you locked the hboot?
What happened when you ran the RUU?
Is your device recognized by adb, fastboot, both or neither?

Finally I relocked and ran the RUU...

Although I really want to try another custom rom, but Im not sure if I can do that...

At least your phone is working again. :highfive:
But of course you can flash custom ROMs.
If you want to stay S-ON, you will have to unlock the hboot again and then I suggest using this guide.
Or you could read every sticky in this forum before doing anything else and then follow one of the S-OFF guides like this one, which is what I'm going to do. :good:
Happy hacking.

Hi,
The asskicker guide will work on both 1.27 and 1.29 hboot.
And it is the best guide if you stay s-on.

My money would be on ViperS.
But read everything about flashing ROMs with S-ON and updating your radio first.

[Q] S-OFF without original RUU

Hey,
I've HTC Sensation with htcdev unlock, 4EXT recovery and viper rom. It's from O2 DE and as far as I know there is no full RUU for my device so JuopunutBear won't work and I don't have backup of original software... I've tried JuopuntuBear on windows with older version and latest one on ubuntu live-cd - it doesn't work
Could you help me with getting S-OFF?
EDIT:
My hboot: 1.27

Hi,
You could just flash a stock ROM.
Look HERE
Make sure you use the correct one for your phone.
Tanks, I'll try that and update this post.
EDIT:
It worked like a charm! Thank you again. My only advice is to enable SmartFlash in 4ext recovery, because without it flashed rom didn't want to boot up.

[SOLVED] [Q] Yellow Mode Brick?

Hello all, my friend is having problems with his HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio.
The problem arose when he decided he wanted to try JellyBam. Previously he was on CM10 running JB 4.1.1, however due to a bad download and installing JellyBam, it seems he's semi-bricked his device. He's able to get to recovery, flash, etc, however he can't get past the HTC bootscreen via normal bootup. His device is pretty much a paperweight at the moment.
In order to help him, I've tried flashing the latest version of Venom, however although the rom install was a success, his phone won't budge past the HTC bootscreen.
I've searched the forum for answers, and it seems there's a possibility that Dexter's Unbrick tool could work, but it says on the thread that XE isn't supported although there is a XE archive? I've tried wiping userdata, dalvik cache and cache.
He's rooted with S-ON (because S-OFF was difficult to do). HBoot ver 1.29. 4-Ext Recovery ver 1.0.0.5
Any help much appreciated.

[Q] HTC Sensation stuck at HTC screen

Hi,
I've tried to flash a new rom to my HTC Sensation and have got it spectacularly wrong. I used Hasoon2000's All-In-One tool to unlock my bootloader and root. I then did a wipe clean and installed Inspiration.
The phone had a Vodafone boot screen if that helps - I believe it is the z710e. The install of the rom seemed to go okay but I've rebooted and it's not getting stuch on the HTC quietly brilliant screen.
Any help would be amazing!
Thanks.
EDIT: My HBOOT is 1.27, I'm not sure if I need higher? My firmware I believe is 3.32- when I try to put higher on by putting PG59IMG.zip on my root, my phone parses it but doesn't do anything afterwards. Could this be my problem?

you are still on S-ON so you can't upgrade firmware in that way
do you have 4ext recovery installed?
if not then use 4ext to install the rom
and before installing the rom
format all partitions except sdcard from 4ext
enable smartflash from it
flash the rom
done

Couldn't get 4ext to work but found one that does eventually. Downloaded Android Revolution as I know this works with my phone and now can boot! Having trouble getting a signal now though. Any more suggestions?
Thanks for the reply, really helped me out!
