Still no xperia play optimized, i don't know why SQUARE ENIX is so ****ing unpleased with sony...

Just chaos rings 2 and we have the complete series
sent from my galaxy s3 or xperia play

Really wish SQEnix would get out of the habit of ignoring Xperia Play. RPGs aren't particularly bad on touch screen, but just having the precision of d-pad selection over "tap and pray" would be a huge help.

well c'mon. we have analog gamekeyboard now, don't we. ;D

this games is veryyyy coool!

Anyone have a Gamekeyboard config to this game?

Games that don't have Xperia play controls that you'd like upgraded

So I thought I would make a thread we can all contribute to that has games that we like that don't have Xperia Play controls that we would like upgraded. If we can all help eachother out and email the developers for these games that we would like that update to be added maybe some will listen.
I will start with a game that is a remake of a shooter I liked when I was younger. I tried playing it and while the graphics are sick I just can't stand the lack of XPlay controls:

I did email the devs on this one and they said they are considering it.
• Caligo Chaser
• Caligo Chaser...
• CALIGO CHASER
• CALIGO FREAKING CHASER
• AGH... CALIGO CHASER!!!
...no, seriously though, you do not make such an awesome beat'em up/RPG hybrid with those borderline insane touch-screen controls... I do actually have a list though .
• Inotia 3 - Children of Carnia
• Shift
• ILLUSIA (This technically *does* work on Xperia PLAY, but there's a lot of control conflicts)
• Third Blade
• Caligo Chaser (as if I didn't make that clear earlier )
• DESTINIA
• PicoPicoQuest
• Elemental Knights Online
• Alphadia
• Battle for Rebirth/Fighting Tiger
• Castle of Shadows
• Demon Hunter (Though if we got Castle of Shadows, I really wouldn't care about this)
• Across Age DX
• Krazy Kart Racing
I actually have contacted a number of devs about this... most usually are up for the idea, but don't know how to structure their game for Xperia PLAY because of unavailability in their country. I hope that the Xperia PLAY's Japanese release changes things.
For developers who want to make Xperia PLAY games without having an Xperia PLAY to test on, I did put together THIS GUIDE and have been handing it out to them. Com2Us (Caligo Chaser) liked it a lot, but still didn't bother optimizing their game for Xperia PLAY... only one that actually went the whole mile and optimized their game after I sent that guide was PJS Coding (creators of Further Beyond Fighting)... and regardless of what complaints could be made about the production quality, the controls were spot on.
A lot of developer's games could benefit from Xperia PLAY's controls :/

Good news, Sonic games play really well with the gamepad. Thanks for posting
Slightly unrelated, but is Sonic 4 episode 1 no longer optimised for our Plays? The gamepad isn't fully functioning which is quite a shame really.
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using xda app-developers app
I'm impressed by the special stages of this port, they made them full-3D! no more crappy animations :good:
Been having a blast playing as Knuckles. With how much ass Christian Whitehead's been kicking with these ports, SEGA really needs to let him make a brand new Sonic game for mobile using his retro engine. I bet it would be fantastic. It'd be like the Final Fantasy Dimensions of the Sonic franchise, except you know, good.

[APP] [2.3+] DRAGON GEO - Interactive Map Guide for Dragon Quest Series

Hey guys, just wanted to share an app that I developed recently. DRAGON GEO is an interactive map app akin to Google Maps, but displays maps from Square-Enix's Dragon Quest RPG series. Those of you that have been playing RPGs since the early days of the original NES will better recognize this series as Dragon Warrior. DRAGON GEO allows for viewing world, region, castle, town, dungeon, and shrine maps from Dragon Warrior / Quest I-VII. It also includes maps from the remake versions that later appeared on the Super Famicom, Game Boy Color, and Nintendo DS. As an added nostalgic touch, the entire interface uses the old Dragon Warrior command window style, complete with music and sound effects from the original Dragon Warrior / Quest games. If you're a Dragon Warrior / Quest fan, you're in for a big treat!
More about the origin of DRAGON GEO: Project Geo was originally used as a way for me to get familiar with Android development, roughly six months ago. During development, I've learned quite a bit about developing on the Android platform, such as programming gestures, loading and playing media files, displaying large images, UX design handling memory optimization issues, and much more. Although I still have far to go in terms of Android development (and mobile development in general), I'm proud to have been able to put out a quality app that I quite enjoyed working on in the available spare time I had.
I'd like to thank the sites & people that have made these maps and sprites available online. Without them, DRAGON GEO would not be possible:
D-Navi
Dragon's Den
FlyingArmor
King Zenith
NES Maps
NES SNES Sprites
Realm of Darkness
RPG Legion
Sprite Database
x_loto
Zophar's Domain
DRAGON GEO has been updated to 1.03! Here are the following changes:
* OPTIONS is now displayed over world maps.
* Several minor layout changes made.
The OPTIONS and CREDITS now display as fragments, and no longer run as separate activities.
Other than that, there are no significant changes.

Hey Android fans,
we are Alexandre and Julien and we just released The Weave of Heroes, a free RPG on your favorite mobile OS. We would like to have your feedback.
Weave is a humorous rock-paper-scissors inspired RPG with strategic combat and neat graphic novel style graphics dubbed. This pocket sized role playing game features complex counterattack mechanics nested within a purposefully bite sized mission structure tailor made for questing on the go. In this tongue-in-cheek adventure it’s up to players to rescue their sister from an army of goofy monsters while learning new skills and confronting a mysterious foe in the process.
Search Weave of Heroes on google play
Features :
A simple but suprisingly deep combat system literally based on rock-paper-scissors
A selection of techniques allowing for clever combinations and varied combat
A colorful and cheerful graphic universe, inspired by cartoons
An adventure full of humor and colorful characters
A Legend competition mode requiring skill and risk-taking
More than 50 varied and original achievements to unlock in the Android version
We already have some awsome feedback :
Super Game Droid
With its silly storyline, wonderful art style, and engrossing combat system The Weave Of Heroes makes for a great mobile-centric RPG.
