Happy Thanksgiving! - Thunderbolt General

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I want to give thanks to all the knowledgeable devs past and current for making the best of our Thunderbolt.
What are you guys thankful for?
Sent from my ADR6400L using xda app-developers app

Thank you for the post!
I'm thankful for: my freedom (thank you active troops, vets, and those no longer with us today who died during their military service), my husband, family, friends, health, job, being able to cook some of our moms' recipes since neither are with us any more, love, laughter, kindness, techie gizmos that allow me to shop for nieces and nephews while sipping coffee in my jammies, great movies with talented actors, producers, writers... The list never ends but for me, Thanksgiving is every day, not just once a year. Losing those closest to you really makes you appreciate what you have because you realize that life is too short to not be thankful for all the greatness we are surrounded with in our lives.
Happy Holidays to everyone!

If my captivate wasn't such a whore, she'd be in a monogamous relationship with Team Phoenix's roms. But she likes to "experiment" with other roms on the block.

I agree. Great job.
Well, as I hate to conform...you phoenix folks suck the bone...now gimme phoenix VI. ;P

Am so impressed by the work Team Phoneix does. When I first got my Cappy was so disappointed with the terrible battery life, after 6 hours I was pulling out the charger. Am now on Mosaic V and today has been running for 22h with 34% left. Even on heavy usage days get over 10 hours. Thank you so much for all your wonderful work.
Also the phone looks so polished. With so many choices to play with.

Where do leaked roms come from?

Ive always wondered when something "leaked" showes up, where and how is it launched to the puplic?
ATT SkyRocket [MHX-SUPERLITE-3.1]
ROM Fairies.....
I believe they purposely leak them because their devs can't figure out a problem and leak it to the community to hammer out.

I think your right. That was the theory on the old windows 6.5 Roms.....
ATT SkyRocket [MHX-SUPERLITE-3.1]
I know with my backflip there was a 2.1 rom that was leaked that was a test rom for a few att users who were more or less beta testers. needless to say a nice little dump and everyone had the new rom .
This looks more like it was something for att to play with as UltraCfg does not seem like something that should ship to a end user.
Well, when a mommy rom and daddy rom love eachother they lie down together and wish for a leaked rom. Then the rom fairy visits and leaks all over them.
Probably the same place 95% of "leaked" stuff comes from, the company itself in an effort to:
A: Generate some "buzz" on the item in question
B: Do an informal test of their unfinished product amongst a small but dedicated group of power users
C: A & B
Well you see, Billy, when a mommy hacker and a daddy hacker love a phone very much...

Oh god dammit, beaten to it.
In the case of the ICS leak, it was probably a conscientious objector. After seeing them mutilate ICS with Touchwiz, he remembered that "just following orders" does not justify one's participation in crimes against humanity.

I think its pretty safe to say that the "Big Wiggs" are watching us. They release a device to the public, the public gets it and tears the thing apart hardware and software wise and somehow beat the big billion dollar company at their own game. Producing firmware that is usually far superior to what they did.
They can't make better firmware without our devs making it first that's why they always seem behind in the game. Its also why were all here

Sammy leaked it to shut up our ICS whine-fest.
And I'm glad they did!
Probably someone that works for or is testing it for att. A trusted user that decided to hook us up, violating the terms of agreement with att. But boy am I glad they did. Thanks a bunch..

That's got to be the answer right there.
How it works is the Father sg2 puts his dongle inside the mother sg2's usb port. This has the effect of making the father and mother's nfc chips tingle, making it an enjoyable experiece. A few weeks later the mother sg2 has to get a bigger battery cover to make room, and then soon after, we have a leak.
It could very well even be one of us

Dear Santa....oops...I mean Dear SamSung,
Please put the UCLA3 modem into the ICS shell so we can get improved connectivity back. Please un-derp the contacts so we can get full access to the contacts in the dialer. Oh, and I want a pony and a airplane. TIA.

Just wanna say, Thank you.

Just wanted to take a moment and say thank you, not only to the amazing devs that have helped me out thus far, but also to the flashers, testers, and the rest of the infuse community. As a beginner dev i had no clue what i was getting into but through all the help of the senior devs i have come along way, so far the rom i released has gotten high praises and that means a lot to me. I started development on my rom to learn, progress and share. And so far its going exactly that way. You guys and your support is what keeps me going and wanting to learn/do more. Keep up all the good work, and keep up the amazing support guys. Thank you to everyone. Have a great night/day!

Development around here is slow.

Hey guys and gals! I recently purchased a Samsung galaxy s blaze and I came here to check out the ROMS and such.. but I noticed that there isn't one that is working without bugs and all. Is there a reason? Is there not enough devs here with the time or capability? I could easily help you guys out and all but I have no idea on development. If someone here is willing to show some stuff for me, I would be willing to take it! I think this is a great phone with a lot of capabilities so how about we get this phone in the show!? Thanks!
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using xda app-developers app
Development has been slow until recently. To date erikmm dark Knight build 4 is running smooth and without issue that I'm aware of. Also recently Erik also has cm7 running but the cam is not working. He has been working hard to get the blaze working better.
I agree the phone has huge potential. Its quick and fast
Would love to see other devs jump into the fray and I'm sure others would also
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda app-developers app
Yes I have seen that Erik has been working hard on this phone, he is a great dev and I know people look up to him. But we cannot leave everything up to him. If anyone else wants to join me, I would be willing to know everything he knows so we can have more people developing around here. Just saying, I could probably learn this stuff right off the bat maybe even from google. I will be around here for a while!
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using xda app-developers app
You/we can create a little team of amateurs. No offence if any taken..
Erik has been doing an amazing job but I often feel guilty because of all the pressure we may be putting on him lol. I think it's only fair to him if we can find another experienced developer help build ROMs for this phone and ease some of the weight off Erik. I am all for donating to buy another Developer a phone lol.

I'm am down for this if he is as good as you say. I am willing to open up a paypal account and kick start the donation with 10-20 dollars but first I need to confirm we'll have enough donators. We will likely need more than the last time because finding a blaze for $250 is not easy.
Please like this post if you're willing to donate to see lengthened and speed-up the development for this phone.

The other night I saw HTCClay pop up in the Blaze board. I remember using his ROM's years ago on the G1. The stuff he did back then was great on that phone. Between CM and Clay's ROM's, the G1 had life. I am not sure what he is doing or not doing but he has the Blaze also. I sent a message to him the other day to see if he is planning to cook something up for the Blaze.
Erik has accomplished a ton in the past few weeks as a one man show developing and releasing ROMs. Personally I have learned a lot working with him testing and checking the ROMs.
I personally think it would be great if we could get other dev's involved to help the cause.

I'm down with helping out guys. Erik is my team mate and a good friend and I'm always there for him. Even on this phone, i have helped him out with flashing scripts and such. My lightning zap tweaks, gremlin remover for sgs4g, and gummy mutt port for that same device have a well known reputation of their own. Not to mention the work i have done on a few HTC devices, LG nitro, captivate, and Sony s tab with other devs. If you guys could get me a phone, team kick ass would be complete and i think together Erik and i would make this phone phenomenal like we did with the sgs4g...

It's like having a new phone! I am a noob in some since, but pretty a nerd as well. I just wanted to thank all the developers and such that provide all this vast information, knowledge and code to give us awesome instructions, roms, etc! Thank you all for your hard work and dedication! I wish I was as knowledgeable in coding to contribute!
