[Q] Samsung galaxy tab 2: Total of 64 gb - General Questions and Answers

Hi,
I wonder if its possible to make Tab 2 with 64 gb. What i thought was if i purchase a tab2 with 32 gb inbuilt memory and inserting a sd card with 32 gb, as a whole it becomes 64 gb. Is it possible ?
Thanks,
SaN

Even if u have tab 2 with 16gb u can insert ext.sd.card upto 64gb... but i vll recommend u 2 not insert ext. memory card more than 16 gb as it vll slow down ur tab...

Yes
Yes, you can you will however get a little bit less than 64gb, since the 32gb that comes on your galaxy tab is a bit less than 32gb (it just works thay way with memory)
TL;DR Yes you can

[Q] maybe memory problem

I got a Samsung galaxy tab 2 10.1 gt-p5110 and in cover say 16 GB but when I go to see memory it show 12 GB. Does anybody know why is this? Should I do something on my tablet?
Perfectly normal.
The built in memory is 16gb and there are many partitions that are used by the ROM itself that are not available to the user.

It's normal,
there's 2 partitioned, one for system ( / directory ), and the other for internal sdcard (/mnt/sdCard)
100% normal just like linux running on pc (system & swap shared the disk usage)
Thank you very much guys

[Q] Does 4.2.1 have a problem with SD Cards

I have been looking for an answer for awhile now. Does 4.2.1 dislike sd cards over 8gb? I have tried two different roms and two different sd cards and still get the same result but when I use a rom running 4.1.2 the cards work perfectly! Please help!

At the time that the specs came out there was no 64GB cards available only the 32, in theory it should take any card size formatted in fat32

Highest Class MicroSD supported by i9003

Hi All,
Can anyone help me telling upto which higher class of Micro SD cards does i9003 support. Thinking of switching to 16GB class 6 card.
I'm currently using a 16GB class 10 MicroSD Card and works good and fast.

I tested it with CM10, CM10.1 and CM10.2 and I didn't have any probem.
With CM9 I was using a Samsung MicroSD 4Gb Class 6 and didn't give me any problem.
If you need any other info, let me know

I'm using this card.
The price is quite low, it's very fast and I didn't ever had a problem with it:

Hope this helps
I'm using this:
Samsung 32GB microSD Card
No problems at all, since original 2.3.6 Gingerbread. Now I'm with dhiru's CM10.1A9 with SwapSD so I can use it as internal storage.
EDIT: my Samsung microSD died last week.
I replaced it with this SanDisk Extreme PLUS 32GB microSDHC UHS-1 card (features a limited lifetime warranty).
is there a way of knowing weither a class 10 micro sd card is original? I am in Nigeria and wants to buy 32gb class 10 card
8 gb class 10 is working
I am using C10 32GB Kingston, it's working fine

Internal Storage Problem

Ok those with 32Gb version device! How much actual internal storage do you get? I am only having 26Gb :crying: and i heard most of the devices have 28Gb so where did my 2Gb go? Any idea? Is there any way to get it back or am i F****ed with a device with 2Gb less the all other 32Gb version phones?
Hi,
No issue with your phone, 26 Gb available, same thing for every 32 Gb version (as far as I know)...
Where did you see 28 Gb available for most???
And seriously use the search function...

Donno forums stated that sometimes rooting and changing the device stock OS can get you more storage space.
But i feel skeptical. So 26Gb is good? No matter how you root or change your device ROM?(does any kernel support re-sized partitions-will resizing partitions gain extra space)
(will post the link of the fourm within a few mins)
