Very nice, its a shame about the 17th as the release date though. I will probably get the soft and hard cases.

there is clear and gray I think.

I have a Kay's Case for my GS3 and it's the one I settled on after trying about six others. I'd avoid a clear coloured one though because it looks grubby after a while.

Too bad it doesn't ship to Europe....

anyone got the frosted clear?
Anyone gotten the frosted clear one? I can read on amazon that it's getting good reviews...but I'm curious if it really it soft and if you can see the back's design through the frosted clear. Also, if the words "kay case" is really on it (one review says it is one doesn't). Curious.

I just picked up the smoked one from amazon now just waiting for my nexus 4 seems to be a good case anybody else agree?

I have the black version. It's a decent case. The Diztronic (I have the matte back black one) is a little better. The Diztronic is a little more solid, has a tighter fit, and the the cutouts are a little more precise.

I have the Kays case one now but was considering getting the diztronic one too. Maybe I'll just wait for a more heavy duty case to come out

I have a case for my Ipod touch that has 2 parts. You sort of stretch this rubber case over and then a hard plastic fits over that. It really provides amazing drop protection because the rubber absorbs the shock and the plastic absorbs the impact.
For now I have ordered a few really cheap tpu cases but I am hoping for one of these. I will serif I can find the manufacturer of these hard soft cases and I will exit this post. These would really be the way to go if possible.

I received my smoke KayCase a few days ago. It's a nice looking case but trying to press the power button is a nightmare. I've considered using a razor blade or xacto knife to cut the case away from the power button as someone else said they did in the Amazon comments but my craft skills are nearly non-existent. I've written to them using Amazon's feedback mechanism so we'll see what happens.
In the meantime I've ordered the Diztronic and should have it Wednesday.

how slippery is the back of this case? I want a gel case that will not easily slide on a table/flat surface.

Nexus 4 Cases - UK

Theres nothing around!! They're just sleeves lol! :crying: Anybody know off any good cases that are out in the UK to use meanwhile. So far the options are bad, and I don't want to use a naked phone lol.

I'm waiting for the S gel cases to appear, it's bound to happen before one from China would arrive for me.
In the mean time I guess I'll just keep it in a sock/pouch type thing I have lying around.

Mobilefun are showing 3 dedicated cases , but these are NOT released yet , probably be soon though.

I need something until the official bumper turns up (damn! this phone is slippery) so I've ordered the black Flexishield from Mobilefun and will report back with my opinion.

S-Line case is very nice for the N4. Very grippy and looks good too. However, if you're buying this expecting it to prevent scratches on the back, don't. I have 3 or 4 fine scratches at the top of the rear glass after taking the phone out of the case. I'm sure it would help with shattering if it fell, but it seems to have caused a few scratches on the back :/ They're only visible at a certain angle but there are quite a few of them.
Nevertheless, they're just fine scratches and definitely nothing to cry about. I'm going to continue using the case!

I got my S line case a couple of days ago, for 99p including delivery to (and from) the UK - it was 2 days, it's rather great! Grippy, comfortable, not bulky and not scratching the phone either.

It is a ridiculous situation for a piece of injection moulded plastic that must cost less than a pound to manufacture.

I have the Bumper on order but am getting by with an S- line case and a pouch. I'm preferring the pouch though as the S- line, although grippy, feels woefully cheap.

Ionic Guardian + Spigen screen prot.
Well we (in the UK) can pre-order the ionic guardian ... which I think I'm going to do so my phone can hopefully take a few knocks (shame about no otterbox) ... and combine it with the spigen screen protector, just can't choose between oleophobic and ultra crystal ....
Edit: I can't post links but if you chcek amazon (uk) they are on there...
Anyone got a better/more protective set up that we can get here? .... I'm guessing there'll be a new wave of people in the UK looking into cases now that we were able to order again today (I luckily managed to get in on the 1-2 weeks but aren't counting my chickens till I get a shipping email)

Just read some feedback on sellers ID and people are happy with it, Quality looks good. Also watched videos on youtube about Nillkin Matte Hard Cover and its positive so going to order for my nexus4 which i will get 1-2 weeks.

This is pretty ridiculous now...I ordered a bumper on 13th November!! Over 3 weeks later and it's still pending...Google Play support phone operators don't have any useful information about it...has anyone here gotten one of these yet from Google UK??

When does that bumper ship?
The ones I've seen were estimated ship date of late december, with awful chinese shipping times of like 14 days on top of that.
That's a lot of naked time.

Poetic bumpers do not ship until Dec 30th.. might as well wait for google

To battle with everyone trying to get one. I'll pass. Plus the Poetic looks like it lifts more from the phone than the Google bumper for more protection.

This appears to be the case that Poetic sent me as recompense for not having my hard case done yet. So far, it's a pretty decent case. A little slippery on the matte portions, however. And it's not as clean and tight a fit as I'd like (I notice it bowing a bit near the volume rocker). Worth the price (free) that I paid for it, however.

Doubtful as it doesn't cover the back at all. Of course that all depends on how it falls. The bumper is more for looks to show off the back cover

Only $5.95 right now because it doesn't ship until 12/30. For that price I bought another case to hold me over until I get it. So I have a TPU KaysCase and Bumper for less than the Google play bumper would cost.

Pure luck on my part - I just checked it 10 minutes ago, couldn't believe it said in stock - ordered immediately. I like that the bumper apparently is fantastic quality, and still shows the beauty of the nexus 4.

Yeah I bought one and immediately had buyers remorse.. I submitted a cancel request, I rather wait and see how the 6$ bumper from amazon looks on the actual phone. 27$ is just so much money for half a case lol

I'd say the bumper would protect from side/corner impact better than a plain TPU due to the harder outer ring dispersing pressure over the soft core. Falls off the back/front variety would be about equal assuming a flat surface. A thicker TPU case could easily sway all categories in its favor. Obviously the bumper wouldn't protect a rock to the back at all and neither would work on a rock to the front.

i woulda got this immediately if it was in stock 2 weeks ago or so. now i have a rearth slim on the way and will probably get the diztronic tpu. can get both for the price of the lg bumper.

Awesome, I just bought mine. I swear this phone is coated with teflon or something. It literally SLIDES of any table I put it down on. I thought I was crazy at first when my phone kept falling off the middle of my living room table, my nightstand, and even when I went to get a haircut. I decided to check it out and determined that if the surface you are resting the phone on has even the slightest bit of grade (not kidding, even .0001%) the phone will gradually slip towards the edge and fall. This bumper better be grippy or I will be annoyed...

Yeah, it is a touch expensive. I bought the revised official bumper case for my Nexus 5, and it's still in fantastic condition. It was $35 on Google's old store, as well. I got the version with the fatter, actually usable buttons.
I do also have quite a love for Tech21 cases, but I got the one for the Nexus 5 used, so the clear plastic is unfortunately scratched up.

i love the clear plastic look... but i find a lot of them start turning yellowish, did you have that problem?

I'd like to get this case for my black 6P but $35 is s joke, a case shouldn't cost 7% of the price of the device. The case reminds me of the cool Nexus graphics they had on the Galaxy Nexus and the I/O Galaxy Tab 10.
I don't suppose we'll be lucky enough for it to hit Amazon or eBay for less. Maybe there will be China copies soon!

Well UAG cases are usually $40 plus if you don't like it Google is really good about returns so that's why I bit the bullet and bought 2 of their cases. I still have others coming from Verus, and some other no name TPU cases. I want to protect the sexy phone in style because it looks really nice with the microfiber or whatever on the back

I just ordered myself an adopted clear one too because the other one I bought is for my wife. I think I'm good now on cases after getting 8 of them.

I didn't have any issues with it turning yellow. It was actually a hard plastic case, hence the scratches. Apparently toothpaste can buff out scratches, but everyone forgets to mention that you shouldn't use the gel kind, or any toothpaste with flavoring. Who even has plain paste-style toothpaste?

I ordered the Carbon with the phone. Its expensive, but looks great. Cant wait to have it and the phone together in my hands

I got the carbon for my aluminum 6p

Ordered the Quartz to go with the Frost phone.

If they could take this case and make it a wireless charging case instead. that would be awesome.

It's the felt or microfiber whatever it is one. I really like the way it looked I usually don't spend that much on a case though
