[Q] LIQUIDSMOOTH RC8 Notification Sound Loop - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

Normally I just leave my phone on vibrate throughout the day, however I turn it onto ring at night. Whenever I bump up the volume on notifications, what sounds like a shortened version of one of the notifications plays over and over and over and it does not stop. I have rebooted the phone, reflashed it, wiped all caches, fixed permissions, and it still plays as soon as the phone boots up. When this occurred my battery life was low, however I have had the phone at this charge and lower (sub 10%) before and it didn't loop the sound.
I've searched around the net for an answer but I can't seem to find one. Is there a setting or something that will stop the sound (without turning off notifications in general), or is this something that happens when the battery is low? I am not quite sure what to do at this point.

Help.

Notifications not sounding?

I've noticed that, for some reason, during the day my notifications won't sound. The phone will vibrate but I have missed calls, SMS, emails, etc. because of this. The phone is DEFINITELY on loud and I am NOT changing the volume in pocket (it happens with or without case). Everytime it happens, I checked my volume and it is all the way up.
Any ideas? PS - happens on any ROM

I had a similar issue that turned out to be due to my own mis-setting of CyanogenMod's quiet hours <.< 12PM is different than 12AM.
In your case it sounds like there is a setting somewhere that is preventing there from being a notification sound. Do you use stock messaging and gmail? Go into the settings for those applications (stock or non) and check to make sure its set correctly. Has this always been true? Have you tried doing a full factory reset? It sucks but its the best way to gauge whether or not you are experiencing a setting issue or if its really a hardware issue. Do your calls ring?

I appreciate the help; I'll check quiet hours. As I stated, calls have the same problem. Notifications are definitely properly configured in their respective apps because I get the sounds sometimes.

In your Sound -> Volume Make sur ethe "Use incoming call volume for notificatons" radio is ticked. Turn ringer all the way up and see if you can hear your notifications.

One S randomly dropping ringtone volume to lowest audible setting

My phone has started dropping the volume to lowest audible setting (not completely silent, 1/7) on its own lately. It's quite annoying. It doesn't even happen due to it being in my pocket and triggering the buttons accidentally. I've been chatting on gtalk for the past few hours, been keeping it out of reach of any pockets and it's happened twice.
It's an unlocked, unrooted One S from Germany and I don't have any volume control apps on it.
Any ideas what could be causing it?
EDIT:
Looks like it's an issue with gtalk, not the phone itself:

[Q]{Possible bug} Phone does not ring while charging

Twice now this has happened today:
Phone is on wireless charger for some time (over 30 min, less than 2 hrs)
Incoming call comes in
Phone vibrates but does not ring (I have calls set to do both), but otherwise looks/acts normal (wakes up, displays caller, etc.)
After the call is completed I put the phone back on the charger and place a test call to it. Both vibration and ringtone work as they should.
My only hypothesis thus far is that the phone doesn't ring the first time after the phone locks during charging, but this is probably not correct.
1. Has anyone else experienced this issue; and if so, how should I/we notify google if they haven't been already
2. Any ideas on how to fix this
FYI I have unlocked BL and root but otherwise stock.
This is happening also to me(and not only during the charging), i have set both of them(ring and vibrate),after a long period of inactivity it only vibrates, after this it works fine until it gets a long period of inactivity again..?
Is this a hardware issue?
There is a bunch of other posts about a problem with the speaker working intermittently. I have the same issue (unrelated to charging or not). I can check every ten minutes and half the time sound is working, the other half silence. Seems like a serious bug (or hardware fault?).

I tend to belive it's a software issue, else the speaker works just fine.
Discovered this morning that my alarm doesn't seem to work when charging. Could this be related at all?
It's not related to charging as I have got this multiple times without having the phone charging.
Also, I noticed that sometimes in some apps, sound doesn't work either.
I have the same issue, It doesn't seem to be related to charging for me as well. My phone will ring for one second and then vibrate from then on. I find that it works normal after rebooting for the first call and then after that it happens again for every call there on after. I am completely stock 5.0 btw

Nexus 5 sound notification lag/issues?

I did a quick search but didn't find exactly what I was looking for so thought I'd ask here.
I am currently running the stock rom with gravity box and franco kernel (along with light flow) and have noticed that my notifications are kind of wonky.
First, when you turn the volume up and down using the buttons on the side is there a lag of about half a second between when the volume slider moves and the notification sound plays? (For instance, if you go from 0 volume to full volume the slider will hit the top about half a second before the sound comes out of the speaker)?
Second, when receiving notifications there seems to be a delay in the audio sometimes. When receiving messages back to back sometimes the notification doesn't even play at all the second time around or plays and cuts off halfway through the sound. Does anyone else have an issue similar to this?
I decided to deal with it until the next new android version is dropped and then was going to see if doing a factory reset fixed the issue but thought I'd ask in here to see if anyone knew what the root cause might be.
Thanks.
The one I notice most that seems odd is hitting the power button. The screen collapses to the line, goes totally blank, then it seems like someone says "Oh!, I was supposed to play the turn off sound - I'll do that now".

I have a similar set up minus light flow. I get distorted/ delayed notifications. the phone vibrates first, but then a second or two later I get notification (sometimes, sometimes no notification). Often the notifications are distorted.

Yes! Distorted is the word I was looking for. I'm not sure why this is causing it and I wanted to see whether or not other people were having this issue as well.

I don't have a sound play when I turn off my screen so I wouldn't know whether or not I have that issue. The notification issue is quite annoying though as it causes me to miss notifications.

Notification Sounds turning off

Everytime I receive a call using either Instagram or Whatsapp my notifications and phone sounds go haywire after. Immediately after if I use the volume buttons on the side they control the audio for ringtone but not volume for anything else. All sounds are muffled and low or don't ring or make any sound at all. The only option is to restart the phone. So now I'm restarting the phone several times a day.
I've checked zen mode, its off. I've checked adaptive battery, that's not it. I've hard reset the phone 4 times and eventually loaded apps one by one until I found it to be happened with Whatsapp and Instagram. I'm not using the beta of either app.
I've had this issue from day one with this phone. I thought it was the phone, had it replaced within a week of getting it from TMO and its still continuing. This is strange, especially coming from a 6T. I'm at my wits end and ready to get rid of this thing. Anyone else come across this?
