Hi!
Long time ago I remember everty time I install a new ROM, as soon as I login with my google account, Android automatically starts a restore of my apps and Wifi settings and passwords.
Now it doen't happen anymore...
How can I re-activate that function? Is it possible to activate with any ROM?

You'll find the settings in the playstore, open the playstore then click menu/settings

When I open playstore setting I just found the options I attached... I can't find anything about a restore after a format...

If you look at the first pic, you can see at the left of "Settings" the Playstore icon...

You install this like all other apk's.
Download or copy file to sdcard and start install and that's it
If you can't install like apk, rename and copy the phonesky.apk to system/app and restart. You must have root phone.

We say that now.. but soon everyone will just get used to it and not really care for the name imo. (btw I agree with you, don't really like this "play" thing they're trying to incorporate) but soon enough! We'll like it and get used to it!

I've been using it for a few days, and I am FINE with the name change. I am kinda used to changes to names. I have been with my job that went through 3 major name changes, so it's all fine lol.

its not that they changed the name its the fact that they changed it to something that doesn't make sense. Android market told u everything u needed to know in the title, a place to buy Android things, Google play just doesn't sound good, what is it? a play place?
My guess was it had to do with some settlement or patent thing with apple etc. smh

Under the My Apps Section you get to see the apps currently installed and the apps that you installed before..
Another difference i can see is that the comments by people on the app screens seems to have a UI tweak

Just install it as a normal apk file.
If its not possible then remove the old market apk from system/apps and reinstall this again.
Can anyone tell me of an app or xposed mod which would let me see what exactly is being uploaded and downloaded from my phone? I dont want statisics, I want to see the exact app and what its uploading, especially uploading.

Maybe you can log all packets on your router, or, you can get an app like this "jp.co.taosoftware.android.packetcapture"
If you got root then there's other apps that don't reply on fake-VPN.
I installed a firewall app and learnt when you opened "people" or contacts, data would get sent to google!
Guys, there's no way to activate this in any language for me...

Make sure your Google search app is updated.
Sure, latest version flashed with Banks Gapps...
So, as system app...
OK google everywhere works only with english us language. Select it, open google search, close it and then look in the settings. It must show those settings. If it doesn't show, reboot once.

Quick question... I got this phone three days ago... I rooted it mostly to delete some of the bloatware... The thing is, I tried to delete the apps on the system folders, but it won't allow it... It returns an error message saying it is not possible to delete the files...
Anyone knows why this is happening and if there's a workaround?

First check you have full root or not.

why uninstall system applications,it is not recommended either one developers that is risky.
try this application work good.Make sure the app you are going to uninstall is not a system app.

install and Open Root app delete on your android phone and,Tap on System apps and tap on Pro when prompted to choose from Junior or Pro mode.
Scroll through the list of system apps and tap on any of the apps which you want to be removed from your phone.
Next tap on Uninstall to remove the unwanted app and again tap on OK to confirm your selection.
In case the app cannot be remove properly, you will see the following error. Tap on OK and then tap on #1 to force uninstall the app.
Now the unwanted app / bloatware will be removed from your android phone.

What version are you running? How did you get root?
Hi guys...
First of all, the "What???" wasn't meant for this post, for some strange reason when I replied on another forum post it did here... I'm really sorry about that...
Anyway... The phone was bugging and the root wasn't working right, that's why I wasn't able to delete the apps... I wasn't trying to delete system apps, but things like Google+ which I don't use at all...
Anyway, I'm on a D2306 from Brazil... I flashed the 4.4.2 global to get rid of the carrier apps, but I probably did something wrong while flashing and rooting it, so it was't working... I reflashed it yesterday and did the root again and it worked flawlessly...
I deleted the integrated apps I don't use and the phone is perfect now...

That's first thing I also do after rooting. There is so much delivered with the phone, and not few of it completely useless to me.
I think the advice not deleting system apps, hmmm .... what is a system app? Sony Home? SystemUI ? Or Google+, Gmail, Maps, Sony Select, ... all in system and unremovable without root. I understand that we need to be protected from doing harm to the phone we bought. But still I think the phone should come with a kind of admin function or semi-root to remove what is not needed. As it is it has more the smell of forcing people to using certain things.
For other apps I have different needs than what is supplied. I am lucky I can change things. As examples, for email I can use a normal email program such as K9, for sms I can use an sms messenger that actually does give repeat notifications, such as Evolve, QuicPic to me is the superior Album at 1/10 of the size, for navigation and maps I use Mapfactor bcs it has real offline navigation, and so on and on.

i'm not having such issues, but you may try updating maps (sideload the newest version) and disabling/re-enabling location access for google apps under the google settings app. please report back how it goes...

I have done no gapps/with gapps install i have done from the market and the problem still there crashes every 1-2 times that i use it
