I hate the stock browser, i removed it from system/app to avoid being asked which browser to use every time i reboot and press a URL. Instead, I enjoy using dolphin mini HD. It works great.
Only problem is that Google voice search is giving a FC instead of launching the browser.
Do you have any suggestion to make it launch dolphin or return browser.apk but make it never be an option for URLs viewing?

I can't use Adobe Reader to view my PDF files anymore!
e.g. Any of the PDFs listed here get "hijacked" by Google Docs http://www.adobe.com/manufacturing/3dpdfsamples/3dsolutions/
i.e. any URL that ends with a .pdf gets redirected to Google's website, and Google Docs tries to open it, and it is incapable of properly rendering it.
I can't even save the pdf file to the sdcard to manually open it...
Previously, I recall the browser gave me a choice of installed PDF apps I could use to view it.
Anyone know what I need to change to stop Google Docs from opening my PDFs?
Using Dolphin browser under Android 2.3.4
Edit:
Now I can't visit the website www.speedtest.net
My browser gets hijacked, and I get sent to the speedtest.net app in the Google Play store!
Even Microsoft wouldn't stoop this low.

Go to System settings, apps and press "Clear defaults" for the app in question.
Might help.
"Clear Defaults" button for both Dolphin and Docs is greyed-out.
I've tried clearing cache, cookies, history, etc.
Can anyone with the Google Docs app installed continue to open .pdf files with other apps like Adobe Reader, Office Suite, or Quick Office anymore?

Click to collapse
uninstall adobe reader reboot and reinstall it. Should reset to where it asks you what to use to open it.
Try a different rom for your phone.
Thanks guys.
There was a Dolphin browser add-on that was redirecting everything to Google Docs. Uninstalled.
Back to normal now.
Also, setting Dolphin to emulate Android causes www.speedtest.net to redirect to the app in the Google Play Store. Emulate "Desktop" to go to the actual website.

Is it just me or is there an issue when copying something from Chrome and trying to paste it within Chrome or Google apps? Also why can't I select a phone number from Chrome and have it come up in the phone dialer? Don't really have these issues with Dolphin Browser.

So I was in my Chrome browser and at the bottom popped up a download notice. I clicked cancel as I didn't download anything. I noticed the download was for "internet.apk" so I typed "internet.apk" into Google to search, well I think it took it as a URL link and said "redirecting" and now my chrome browser is all kinds of screwed up. Can't access my bookmarks at all. They appear but are grayed out and and then fade away and the new tab is non functional.
What did I do??
Try uninstalling chrome from google play market and reinstalling

I wanted to uninstall Google search and reinstall it as a user app so I could greenify it. Searching Google, I found that you can use an app called RootAppDelete to delete system apps. I installed it and went over to the System Apps option, but I wasn't able to find Google Search in there. Is it renamed to something different or is there another way to uninstall Google Search?

you can do it with titanium backup for example. freezing, uninstalling or user/ system app switching will work with tb.
BUT be carefull! you need another launcher, before uninstalling the google search. the build in search bar will result in a bootloop if the app isn't available anymore.
