Micro SD contents moved - Asus Transformer TF700

Don't ask.
Yesterday I accidentally moved my micro sd contents from my card to my internal sd.
(thought I was copying to subfolder but somehow was not paying attention I guess)
I realized it today when I couldn't boot into CWM recovery.
I'm thinking I need to move clockworkmod folder and TitaniumBackup folder to micro sd?
also I have a su file and an update zip that created it, with yesterday's date - does that go over to the micro also?
I guess anything else might not matter?
OK, this qualifies - nominate me for asshat award

You should, Micro SDcard is a safe place to keep all stuff you mentioned above.

[Q] Quick clockwork question

I feel pretty dumb asking this but here goes. When installing clockwork on the micro sd card that just assumes I am placing my micro sd directly into my pc to install the files, correct? The guide says to put the files on the micro sd card but I just Want to make sure I'm not supposed to do this with the micro sd card in the g-tab somehow. Also if anyone could point me to a video guide of how to install clockwork and then vegan I would love you forever. I feel like I could do it just fine but I'm one of those people that just needs extra clarification.
Merry Christmas!
It doesn't matter if you put the files on your sdcard from you tablet or your pc. It only matters that your sdcard has a file named update.zip on the root and a file named command in a recovery folder
/sdcard2/update.zip
/sdcard2/recovery/command

CM7 on nook sd card

I installed cm7 yesterday using verygreen's Size-agnostic SD Card image and CM7 installer for SD Cards. with updater. That went well and booted fine but i didn't unlock the screen right away and suddenly the nookcolor booted into the stock rom and then wrote it's normal sdcard format into the boot partition on my cm7 card. I shut down and put the card into my computer and deleted the new folders the nook added then I installed gapps by doing this:
1. Then I setup my wireless.
2. Turned nook off and pulled sdcard.
3. Connected sd card to computer.
4. Make backup of uImage and uRamdisk
5. Renamed uRecImage to uImage and uRecRamdisk to uRamdisk
6. Downloaded the latest gapps zip file and copied it to the sd card.
7. Copied the update cm zip file that I originally used from the initial install back to the sd card.
8. Ejected card, inserted card into nook and booted up.
8. Recovery popped up and started to unzip both zip files.
10. Let it finish and then booted normally.
11. Set up the market.
Now for my question. When I opened the gallery my pictures were there even though I had not loaded any, same things with my music in the music player. For some reason the CM7 sdcard is seeing these files from my nooks internal storage where these files are located. My understanding is the card does not react with the nook storage....did I do something wrong. The nook boots and operates fine without the card.
I wanted to ask this question in the """Size-agnostic SD Card image and CM7 installer for SD Cards. with updater''' thread but being new it wouldn't allow me to do so.
Never mind I got my answer
I got my answer elsewhere.
Abysmal CM7.performance from sd
What brand and model SD for CM7 to get.acceptabke performance. I created a card but download is abysmal and readers are MUCH slower than factory to the point of worthlesness.

How to transfer to a larger SD Card?

i did search the forums for an answer, but im running into a problem that hasnt been encountered by others. I would like to switch my sd card from a 4gb to a 8gb. if i just copy and paste the files, i get a pop up advising that theres a file/folder thats name is too long, and it will only skip it. I dont want to leave behind any important files. any help with this?
aside from my music and photos( the easy part) 75% of my apps are installed to the sd card

Just copy your current SD Card (4GB) contents to the PC. Then format your new SD Card (8GB). After that just copy the contents back onto the new SD Card, and load it back inot your Shift. You should be good to go.

You'll be fine. I've copied my sd contents to my PC and back a few times and I always get that "name too long" error on one file and I've always just skipped it with no problems.
thanks.... i found out that the source of my problem was the folder "android" but i pretty much just took what i needed from that folder, and created a new one on the root of the sd card, and placed the contents there, every other file/folder transferred smoothly

New SDCard transferring recovery

Am i right in thinking that the 4ext recovery is held on the memory card or is it on the phone?
I'm buying a new memory card tomorrow for my Sensation and want to know what I have to do to set it up to how my old one was.
4EXT is held in your phone, somewhere, i don't know where, but definitely not on the SD card

Hi,
Look on the root of your sd card.
You will see clockworkmod/backup
Your backups are in there.
Copy the whole of your sd card to a folder on your PC.
Then, you can put back what you need later(pix, music, backups)
Don't worry about the android files.
Android will put back what it needs.

i think he asked about the actual recovery, and not the backups...

[Q] Backing up to external SD card for SafeStrap V3

I'm having the worst time trying to find out how to friggin' backup my phone to my external sd card. For some reason, I can do it to my internal storage, but have no way of getting it backed up to my external SD card. I can see the option to select it, but I can't actually select it. I think I have to create a folder on my external SD card for the root but I just can't figure it out. Does the whole entire SafeStrap file need to be copied over to my SD cars as well with a repeat process of installing it the same way in which I did for the internal storage too?
Have you tried backing it up then manually copy pasting it to your sd card?
Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using xda app-developers app
I have not, as I assumed that while that might be an option, that if I cannot select the external storage option then something is wrong with SafeStrap. If all I have to do is manually copy it over to my external SD card, and with that done Safestrap can still function OK, then that is what I can do. I thought there was something smaller I might have been missing, so I wanted to make sure it was done accurately. Thanks for the input!
EDIT: My real worry with this, is that if I cannot select external SD storage, then how will I select the files I need to install when flashing ROM? I don't have enough space on my internal storage for the files, and would have to put them onto my external SD card, but if I can't select it then I have no clue how I'll be able to flash the ROM.

I thought I had the same issue and mashed the radio button a bunch of times out of frustration and it eventually worked. It's like the touch isn't as responsive in that area of the screen when in SS.
Well, I got the ROM to work. Since my internal storage is only 5 GB, I couldn't leave both the backup file and the ROM zip files on the same storage device, so I moved the backup manually to my external SD and left the ROM.zip on my internal. I flashed them, got the ROM to work but when I opened it up and booted, as I expected, the phone is like new (nothing installed like I originally had it). Well, I can't restore the backup since it is on my external SD card and since I can't still select that option under SafeStrap, I'm kind of in a pickle here. As well, I my computer couldn't recognize my phone either when on the new CM10 ROM. I'm just going ROM this weekend. If any of you have any clue how to get my computer to recognize my phone when booted on the CM10 ROM, or know how to get SafeStrap to allow me to select my external SD card for storage etc I would much appreciate it!!
