There's no way.
The Xperia Tipo Dual is an Dual Sim In-active device (or dual-sim standby), that means only one simcard can be active at a time.
You sort of got a bit tricked by Sony there, there has been many people complaining about this.
I'm sorry for you,
Good luck!
As far as I know there is no dual sim phone in existence that can run both Sims at the same time
Dual sim means Two sims but only one gsm chipset meaning only one connection
If you could run them both at the same time all you would get is interference from one or the other

There are in fact dual-sim active phones out there. The only difference is that the phone will in example usually show 2 call options. For each simcard one option.
An example of an Dual-Sim Active phone that is out there is the Samsung Galaxy S Duos.
That, in fact, is a great advantage.
Doesn't that require two gsm chipsets which would drain the battery in double time
Also can it make two separate calls one from each sim at the same time if not then just as bad as dual sim inactive phone

I think it has two antennas installed. But honestly I do not know much about it. Just knew they exsisted, and knew Duos was one. Soooo...
I think you can also turn them of again. You can call from seperate SIMs and etc.

Fair enough

well...for the first one, when you're in call the another sim card will deactivated automatically. you can't imagine how your system will be confused when your sim1 call your sim2 if both of them active for same time. this rule applied for every dual-sim phone. for the second stuff, I don't know. I never heard this report before. dragoboss seems quite often visit sony's forum. do you ever heard this issue, dragoboss?
Been reading many forums, many topics about the fact that 1 SIM deactivates when the other is activated on Tipo dual. Same issue, same answer every time. Dual-SIM Standby phone it is.
I only passed on the answers I read myself a amount of times even though I do not own a Dual myself xD
I couldn't figure out if I am supposed to be offended by ur post or that it was an honest question/comment.

lol...im just feeding up my curiosity. along with silent bob, both of you are one of most active member here. this tipo actually my first xperia device. both of you seems know better about this device. I hope I could learn more from both of you.
I don't know much about it either
Although imho dual sim is useless for my uses until I can use both sims at the same time
I think I'll stick with carrying two phones

In Australia, the Hutchison 3 Network is a 3G network and as such uses Telstra's 2G to support it when there is no 3G coverage.
That being said, Hutchison 3 use a type of hybrid Sim card that doesnt work with any of these dual sim devices.
Another example of this odd sim card choice is that it renders all Mercedes Benz owners who have Bluetooth Car kits useless. (I spent literally days testing) and this is because even though the Bluetooth will pair up, the MB car kits try to use a 2G antenna connection to get onto the network. Even though it ends up using the phones internal antenna.
Is '3' in Europe strictly a 3G network? Because im at a total loss as to why the MB would do this.
It may seem off topic but its related enough to be shared here. (although it probably could have its own thread)
I can't say anyhing about he hybrid sim you are talking, but simore dual sim works with 3g sim.
3 in Italy is only 3g, I do not know in the rest of europe
It's quite weird your experience with the MB CK, I tryed several time with no issues...

Hi,
Could you try something for me.
Set your handset to 3G only, then see if you can connect to the MB CK.
If you can, then i will have to put it down to the Hybrid SIM.
Thanks

Hello
For me it is working fine, but before I had the problem until I remove the pin code pin on my sim card.
Means install the sim card to a normal phone and remove the pin code for the sim car. Plug it again into simore hardware and try again.
Hope that it well solve your problem
For phone call and sms it wrking fine, I still have issue to switch internet from one sim card to on other one. The last point is that you have to root your phone to use internet (but internet not working well)
No need to root if you want to use only phone call and sms
bump

I had one for my HTC Touch Diamond. I cutted my 2 sim cards into 2 little ones in order to fit the metal sim holder. I had 2 options: 1st i could switch the operators by pressing one assigned button. 2nd i could define timming to automaticaly switch. No way you can have 2 operators at the same time since galaxy dont have 2 antennas....

I've been thinking of buying one, but Simore don't seem to answer questions. Maybe you can help me. Do you have to manually switch the APN? And do you have to enter the Google account each time you switch?
Thanks in advance!
is it possible to use one sim for data and a 2nd sim for calls? or do you need to switch from using sim A 100% to sim B 100%?
if so, what kind of device/adapter would be able to accomplish this
TIA

I searched the forum but did not find an answer, as the title says has anyone tried the smartwatch 2 (or 1) with a dual Sim phone? if yes does the smartwatch support notifications for both Sim cards simultaneously? or does it accept only notifications from one Sim? the reason for my question is that I'm thinking of getting the Xperia M2 dual and I'm wondering if I will get the use of the smartwatch at it's full potential like a single Sim phone. if anyone out there has an answer (based on experience) please post your experiences. thanks a lot in advance.

I think the only problem you will have are making calls and sending quick texts. Other than that, everything should be fine

Really? Is that a thing? I have never heard of such a thing as dual SIM causing the phone to lag or anything.
It certainly depends on your preference. As far as I know, Dual SIM phones are great since you don't have to carry multiple devices, which can be a good thing or a terrible thing. Good thing because one device, duh! Bad thing because, two connections, 1 battery. But if you are like me and don't care for carrying too many devices in your pocket, go for the dual SIM. It is great and it certainly doesn't lag.. (where'd you read that it lags?)

I use single sim. and it's fine. I never heard of the phone lagging on dual sim.
What I can say is, it's depends on what you need. If you don't want to carry multiple phones, buy the dual sim.
especially more people (at least here) uses dual sim, and also more custom roms are available for the dual sim.
