JellyBean Wakelock problem - Galaxy Note 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey there, since i updated to jelly bean (did a full reset, wiped sdcard etc. and reinstalled everything) i have strange wakelock problems.
The battery drain is much higher then it was on ics.
Anyone with same expirience or is it a faulty app maybe ?
The tablet is very often preparing the sdcard and everytime i open up the music player it
needs to search all files again.
Any suggestions why?

Help with YouTube app on xoom

Hi all, I've been running on team eos3 jb nightlies for a while now but I'm having problems with the YouTube app in that it will play the adverts before selected videos but as soon as the video should start it gives me a notice ( connection to server lost) , anyone have any ideas what's going on as I've tried going back several different nightly versions but the same issue always and I always do a wipe cache and dalvik before flashing. Hope some one can help solve this.

Auto sync icon won't go away

Hi. Yesterday I put on CM 7.1.0.1 with no problems, I then noticed that the auto sync icon was on for a considerable time. I then turned off all my accounts, turned off data transfer and auto sync. I then rebooted, it was off for a while but it then reappeared . Can anybody help with this problem.
Cheers.

Well since u already tried the reboot, then ID recommend flashing the ROM again. But just wipe cache and dalvic and flash over what u got.
If that don't work then perhaps try a fresh I stall or a new ROM.
There are so many to choose from that have cm7 as a base so start there if u really what the old school GB.
But try ICS or jelly bean.
Good luck

Android os battery hog problem

Hello I am new to the galaxy s3.
I just noticed that the android system is hogging battery. I followed the instruction on rooting n unlocking boot loader via a post on these forums. - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1974114
To test and see if it was something I installed wrong I reset the phone to stock using factory rest. Did not allow it to sync. Just plain os and nothing else. ..still had the android os using high amount of battery.
Android system stays around 30-40 and media at 13
Is this normal?
Oh and turning off all running applications under setting/application/running
didnt change it one bit either.

Slow to show and load recent app on RLS6

I'm running the Hyperdrive RLS6 ROM with the latest Zeus kernel and, recently, the recent apps list has been very slow to load and recognize my touches. It wasn't like this right after flashing the ROM so I'm guessing it's due to an app update, but I can't seem to trace what it is. Nothing obvious in BetterBatteryStats and nothing I kill seems to improve the speed. Just to give you an example, in a recent test it took 13 seconds for the tablet to even highlight the app I had selected and switch to it.
Oh, and sometimes the app that opens is the wrong one altogether.
Otherwise, everything on the tablet behaves normally and, once the recent apps list recognizes what I've selected, it loads rather quickly. Any idea what app or setting might affect this?

I'm running RLS6 too, and I was getting that delay too. So I reflash the rom using Stock kernel, and it's running smooth now. But you may also want to try "fstrim" to try to remove some of the lag.
My advice is:
1. Use Lagfix "fstrim" ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.grilledmonkey.lagfix) and trim /system /data and /cache then reboot.
2. If it doesnt help, reflash using stock kernel (full wipe).

Thanks. I was used to lagfix on my ASUS Transformer tablet but haven't needed to do this since getting my Note. I'll give it a shot.
Whoa, I get "FSTRIM: Operation not supported on transport endpoint" for all mount points. I know this used to work on previous kernels though, as I mentioned earlier I never found it to be necessary. Can someone verify if the latest Zeus kernel supports this?

[Q] Youtube Issue

Hi guys, I recently flashed my Nexus S (i9023) to CyanFox 2.0.1. and CyanFox Gapps 2013-12-15. I have an issue with youtube. I have the HQ button selected but still it's not playing like in my previous rom (cm 11) and I don't know why. It's somehow pixelated, around the edges I see little squares, I think you know what I mean .I tried to uninstall the app and then reinstall it but still no result. Does anybody have the same problem ? Does anybody know how to fix this ? I have attached two printscreens, first from my Nexus S with the issue and second from my brother's Orange Nivo which doesn't have the issue.
Can you try clearing YouTube data and see if the problem still persists?
I cleared cache and data but the problem is still there...

same problem for me also on both cyanogenmod 10.1 and 10.2, its not rom specific, that "sh1t" started after the "big" update that you could be able to search for videos and still be able to watch at the same time in a very tiny window at the bottom.
@iakoboss7 for me it is a rom problem because I had cm 11 before cyanfox with the youtube updated with the "big update" that you are talking avout and it was playing videos without this problem...
