I'm under CNA currently, and I like it a lot too. Battery life seems good. This ROM is not very different from CM10 alpha 1, just has more tweaks. However I don't know if I installed it correctly but I couldn't find a file explorer whereas there's supposed to be one included in the ROM. Did you guys have a file eplorer right out of the box?

Good question in OP. So many new roms coming in and it's really difficult to choose!
Been using RemICS-UX and was good. Now on CM10 for a week, but it seems the ram is always kept around 400mb with minor lags (maybe because of some junk apps).. battery use was so-so.
If you prefer stable one then ICS but for me, i think i won't go back to ICS anymore.
Now i will consider CNA rom.. Seeing loads of good reviews.

I'm on Ehndroix too. Drains battery too much. Looks like i'll give cna rom a try.

Yes.
I haven't tried them yet even though the file has been put into my sdcard for ages
CM10 is still working great (with some reboots due to RAM overload) so I think I will leave it as it is first!
17 percent battery use on 3g continuously on xda app for 1 hour. (Ehndroix rom)Pretty good?
And what is a ram overload? Is it preventable?

Today, no class so I made an experiment.
Here's a screenshot of my battery use. [Ehndroix 12.9.3]
3hours 30minutes on xda app on 3G and the rest are music via earphones (when screen off). Battery from 100 to 2.
Hope it helps. ^_^

Hello all,
I am planning to again install a custom Rom. Among Cyanogen mod 9.1 and MIUI which you find best.
Any other Rom which you would like to suggest then please do.
Hoping to hear from you all soon.

Build #8 is the latest, and most stable, version. But some people have reported poor wifi signals.
It's a matter of personal opinion. If you just want a phone that's fast and smooth, use CM9.1. If you want your device to be look good then use one of the MIUI builds. They're based on older builds of CM9 though, so aren't as efficient.
But it's your choice. CM9.1 or MIUI? Try them both and stick with your favourite

hi,
recently got a htc explorer, smartphones and always had them and it changed the roms but usually tend to be of top phones.
I wanted to ask if the roms that are available here are fast as the original rom or lose a bit of performance?
I am I'm inclined to try the rom cm9.1 build8 from what I've read here in the forum
I was also very skeptical about the performance. But I'm on CM9 bulid#8 almost a week and it is very smooth. I would even say a little bit better than the stock rom, but it could just be me. The only lag I recognize is when opening the app drawer for the first time. It's my first custom rom and I don't know why I have waited so long =)

Hi, I just wanted to know if any of the android 4.X roms are anywhere near stable enought to be used as a normal phone OS?
What I mean by stable is: receives calls correctly, camera & bluetooth works, doesnt bug out or crash randomly...
Im currently using Kyrillos v9.6 so I wouldnt really want to trade this rom in for one that is less stable tho 2.2 is getting old real dast and Im not going to lie I really want holo.
You can try to use any GB room. Kyrillos rom v10.6 is very smooth

When you say the camera doesnt save, do you mean the stock android camera app?
I have various apps that use the camera for things like: scanning bar codes, scanning and saving business cards, facebook & other apps for uploading photos...
Would these kind of apps still work?
Also comming from Kyrrillos v9.6 whats the best way to move over to AOKP?
I guessing, save all contacts, messages and make a backup with Titanium
I just tried to flash it using the guide to odin in the android dev section, and odin does its work, the phone reboots for the first time, goes into CMW, I install the patch for AOKP from zip, wipe user data, and reboot.
Then the phone starts, it looks like its going to play the android animation but I get a blank screen then the cycle just continues
I seem to have got it working, but Is it not possible to move apps to the SD card?
I have my sd partitioned and I tried moving using https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.a0soft.gphone.app2sd&hl=en
But when im in the applications setting and I click on move to usb device It just starts moving then says cant move.
Sorry to keep asking in here but I cant post in the main thread yet

If you use S2E JB is Working
Then download and install S2E-JB.apk like any regular app from Here
1. How big is you SD card ???? is hawing a partition from before ???
____ Thel me that and then start all other _____
2. start the app, options are greyed out (that's normal)
3. MENU -> Settings -> Mount as ext4 -> reboot your phone
4. options still greyed out? format your sd-ext using clockworkmod (mounts and storage -> format /sd-ext)
5. check boxes for Applications and Private apps -> reboot your phone
6. never worry about a2sd again
if somethings is not booting yust wheat it will boot up .... trust me ... *
and after this right me what you have done if it all ok*
When i was on AOKP JB i downloaded S2E from the playstore and it worked fine.

So yeah, I am new user of this phone and I find it awesome. Good phone for a starter like me. My phone isn't rooted yet. After months of using stock OS (Gingerbread 2.3.5), I find it inconvenient, I mean, I also have a low memory notifications, can't download desired apps and etc. I found a way to root my phone but I haven't done it 'til now since I'm still looking for good resources. Since I'm new here and most of you guys are already good at this, I need to know what custom ROM - the most stable, fastest, bug-free - will fit our device? Thank you so much!

Hitted. Thank you again!
Sense or non-Sense is completely personal preference. There are reasons to choose Sense like eye candy, HTC apps and not generally breaking the harmony of a HTC device; while AOSP(non-Sense) has its own, like being mostly open source, having features of custom ROMs, being free from HTC framework that some call bloatware and having a more recent version than Sense(4.0.3 vs. 4.1.2(4.2.1 on the way)).
