Whats up with this? My old Galaxy Tab came with NOVA 2 I believe. I liked it a lot. I ended up paying for NOVA 3 and its just not as good IMHO.
But When I actually go to NOVA 2 on Play, it says incompatible.... WTF is that about? I now have a Nexus 7.
I searched for "N.O.V.A. 2 APK" on google, found one of the first things that looked legit, downloaded it, installed. It downloaded mid 300mb of game data, the video plays but when you fast forward to go to the game it closes and says it was forced to shut down.
Game issues period...
Also I have issues with Galaxy on Fire 2 as well. Device says incompatible. Download it on the web and it doesn't work

Games downloaded from the web is very unstable since its apk was modified. Try finding another apk.

I think this is because the game was so old that it does not compatible with nowadays SoCs any more. Especially things like Tegra 3, Qualcomm S4...

They both say incompatible on android market. Funny thing is, on the main page of the the Nexus 7 it shows Galaxy on Fire 2 being played on the Nexus 7.
Lol. Many games are said not compatible for my Sola, but I can play almost all games on the store by downloading it from the web. Just have to find a proper version of the apk.

Hi guys,
Going you can help, I have installed some gameloft games I downloaded to try out but they are not sizing correctly on the screen.

You have probably downloaded Games that not was created for Galaxy Tab.
Mobile version of Gameloft games will not look good on Tabs
Gameloft have a special category for Samsung Galaxy Tab that have games that works good on the bigger screen.
Use your Tab an go to www.Gameloft.com and they will detect that you have a Tab and will show you games that is made for the bigger screen and resolution.

Specifically, you generally want the HD versions (e.g. Asphalt HD).

Has anyone managed to make GTA III work on the Kindle Fire?
I managed to install it but right after the intro videos it jumps to my homescreen....
I'm using Chainfire3D with NVidia plugin....
I'm having the exact same issue, so frustrating!
I have a similar issue with some N64 games I play through the rom.
I tried all sorts of methods, from Tegra APK, to Qualcomm APK (and direct to Kindle Fire, which should be PowerVR), and none of the three versions work stock.
Interestingly, they all had different size downloads.
I tried all sorts of combination with Tegra/Qualcomm/PowerVR (with respective APKs), as well as unrolling textures, disabling hi res textures, etc., and none seems to work.
The furthest I got was after the opening intro, and crashes back. It seems to be an openGL overflow, so... yea... nothing we can do.
did you try the SGS 1 apk ?
hmm...
...
no success on my side so far aswell :/

We actually are talking about the, already released, android market version of GTA 3 and not about an emulated version.
huskerdu25 just stated that he has the same issues regarding some N64 Roms, if that's what made you think we're talking about an emulator.

The range of devices that this seems to run on is rather odd.... It runs fine on my Thunderbolt, but then I saw people talking about phones released after the TB with better specs that it seemingly would not run on. Sure would be cool if we could get it running on the Fire.
best games working on kindle fire...
I have tried nfs shift, asphalt 6, GTA 3 but only nfs shift runs properly.....I had resolution issues with asphalt 6....gta 3 seems to return to home after video playback.....
What games toy are playing on kindle fire....especially HD games?????
Heavy gunner is great... in fact most games I play work well, shine runner is another that comes to mind, looks awesome the fire

i finally managed to get it going using this apk which is V1.1
started a new game and it was just stuck at the end of the loading bar
after 5min of impatience my kindle crashed and rebooted
MOD EDIT: NO WAREZ
I installed v1.1 and it works,no problems.

What was needed to make it work? Also, what sdcard data works? I was quite pissed to find these HD games don't work especially when i found out that Amazon does something attempt to cripple these games bought from the Android market and make special copies that they sell on their app store. I guess it's not that surprising....but i still don't want to rebuy several of these games just to play them on my tablet rather than my phone
I had earlier downloaded version 1.0 and let the app download its own data over wifi( roughly 450 MB)....but game used to return to home screen after initial video....
Now I had downloaded ver 1.1 ....and its working awesome....

Hey guys I just thought that maybe we Skyrocket owners could petition Gameloft to make their games compatible for our device.
Basically, I bought MC3, MC2, NOVA 2, Rainbow Six, and none will work with a device I thought was going to bring gaming to a whole new level.
Emails to gameloft just result in generic "We do not have compatibility yet. We might later" messages.
Anybody?
No.

Or u can just flash a tmobile gs2 rom then it works or edit build prop
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
I have all of the games you listed running perfectly, just edit your build.prop to show as the HTC Desire Hd. after you edit it, reboot and all your purchased apps will show in the market, download and install them, download the additional data and then you can edit your build.prop back to how it was originally, reboot and the games will continue to work after this reboot even though they'll no longer show in the market
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk
While I agree that a petition to them could be a waste of time seeing how we can circumvent the issue, I agree that they should really consider our device as capable.

I sent them an email and they told me that maybe in the future, but people all over their forums want the games to work.
Can you post instructions how to do this? I really love their games.
Problems is, the games don't work after you change the build.prop back.
For example, MC2 and MC3.
I bought both, changed build.prop, was happy, then realized battery, gps, and reboot/shutdown were all borked by the build.prop. Changed it back, they no longer work.
That's the reason I wanted a petition, but seems like its a waste of time.
Yeah Maybe use Chainfire and one of the plugins?

Gameloft games work now on the Skyrocket. Well, at least Asphalt 6 and Backstab. I'm sure others too.
I'd like to think it was my email and campaigning that did it.
i got all the games working on mine only one is not working is mc3
Well I'll be a son of a gun, in that case thanks. No if only that free MC3 would work from SamsungApps
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk

MC 2 worked on mine, using sky ics. But cyanowiz it doesn't work let alone the Samsung apps

Is it just me or does the market not let us download a lot of apps because of supposed incompatibility? There have been many apps that i hear about but when i go to the market to download it, it can't be found.
A couple of times i have tried installing an app through the browser and it brings up a list of devices to send it to. My old phone, Samsung vibrant, will be green on the list, but this phone well be greyed out and i will get an incompatible message if i try to select it. It is frustrating that i have the most powerful phone T-Mobile offers, yet i am still limited.... The whole tegra thing doesn't help
Sent from my HTC VLE_U using XDA
Agreed, but I've started sending those apps to my Vibrant and side-loading them to my S. Only ones I have issue with are GameLoft games. Not because they aren't compatible, but because they check and refuse to run if they're not on the original device they were downloaded to.
What apps are you having trouble with, anyway?
Sent from my HTC One S using XDA Premium
I don't have my vibrant anymore to try side loading. But i suppose if i really wanted to i could find a site to download the apk. Dark Meadow and men in black 3 are two that i can think of off the top of my head

I can second the gameloft games (asphalt 6), all my other apps i usually use worked just fine on the s4 processor.

I got my Swype keyboard back after flashing a custom rom and doing the 3dot removal mod. It was coming up as unsupported at first, presumably because the 3dot menu wasn't considered part of the screen so the resolution was listed as 540x940 or something instead of 540x960.
Once I did the mod I got Swype back. And it's really a lot better than the HTC keyboard even though it also has swiping. I've just gotten so used to how Swype behaves.
Sadly no GameLoft games for me still.
+1 I am having bad compatibility issues when trying to run some games. No Gameloft games work and Fieldrunners does not work. I will test more and report back. One thing I can say is the GTA III works well Anyone have any idea if it can be fixed with an OS upgrade or an app update over time; or could there be a hack?
I have disabled the 3-dot menu (Leedroid tweaks) and no help there for compatibility.
The only way I can see us getting Game loft games to work is if someone finds a simple hack in the apk to disable the device check. I've poked around in the MiB3 apk a little, but I have no idea what to look for, or if its even possible.
Sent from my Kindle Fire using xda premium
Some other apps I found that show app booting up logo but crash:
Fieldrunners, The Sims Free Play, Need for speed hot pursuit, and shift. Seem like it's not just Gameloft. Hope this can be fixed soon... our device can handle this games like a boss, if only it could start them...

My procedure to play gfx intensive games (Dead Trigger, MC3, Nova 3, FL Commando, Six Guns, Agent Dash, Heroes Call THD, Dark Meadow, etc) is:
reboot
run FMR Memory Cleaner (press clean button)
start the game (once the launcher has restarted if FMR has "cleaned" it)
I use System Tuner's widget to keep an eye out on the amount of memory that is free. If the amount is 600-650MB or more (free) the games run fine. Anything less, and I will reboot first.

This one is not compatible with the TF700T according to the Play Store.
I've been majorly pissed at GL since they stopped supporting Dungeon Hunter 2 on pretty much every ICS device. Piss me off.
I've got asphalt 7 running on my infinity. Runs great. On Zeus 4. Used titanium backup to transfer it from my galaxy note.
