Casabella Pouch Review (and a few others) and Phone Dimension Reference - Nexus 4 Accessories

This review is for the Casabella Pouch for the Nexus 4: http://www.amazon.com/CASABELLA-113...85290&sr=1-1-catcorr&keywords=casabella+pouch
The casabella pouch is a micro-fiber, draw-string pouch. The material is thicker and more furry than a standard fine micro-fiber sunglasses pouch.
It fits the Nexus 4 perfectly, with enough room up top to allow the draw string to close the pouch, fully protecting the phone. There is also enough room inside that you are not dragging all sides of the phone against the material as you remove it from the pouch. Some people might say they like a tight fit because it cleans the phone when being removed, but I think it just adds to the likely hood of scratching the screen.

I also tried this Green Onion case when I had the Galaxy Nexus: http://www.amazon.com/Green-Onions-...=1353185015&sr=8-2&keywords=green+onion+pouch
It's a really nice looking and feeling pouch, smaller than the Casabella, and also a thinner less furry micro-fiber material, but still not as thin and some of the $2 ones on amazon. If I'm remembering correctly, this pouch will not fully zinch on top, but it's pretty close. There will also be more rubbing going on pulling this out of the pouch. Remember I used this with a Galaxy Nexus and don't have it anymore. It will be a tight fit on the Nexus 4 but should work.
The Green Onion pouch also as a small pocket on the front for a credit card or ID. The white version gets dirty quickly but a grey version is also available.

Tech 21 d3o Leather Pull Tab Pouch: http://www.amazon.com/21-Leather-Sl...4011&sr=1-1-fkmr2&keywords=tech+21+slip+pouch
I had the smaller version of this pouch for the Nexus S and it is very high quality and worked as it should. It was a fairly tight fit on the Nexus S. Also, looking closely at the picture, the design has changed slightly from the Nexus S version - there is no credit card/ID pocket on the front anymore. I expect the quality to be the same, but can't say for sure. d3o is some alleged impact resistant technology/material.

Very nice. Thanks for this.

Oh nice the price dropped.

Thanks for posting. Now which pouch to get!

Yep, no problem. I just received the Nexus One style eBay pouch and it's a really tight fit, and the material is not as thick as the original N1 pouch. I'm trying to stretch it out with some stuffing to see if that will help.

I used the neoprene pouch from my galaxy nexus and it fits just fine, it was already pre- stretched from using it.

i couldn't find cases like these anywhere... i'm just about to buy a camera case at best buy and call it a day until ballistic releases their case...

Most of the cases for the phones you mentioned will fit the phone with a skin on it, but not if you have a case. I have the ringke slim case on my phone and bought this pouch for a gs3 http://www.ebay.com/itm/360517620347?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649 and while the phone without the slim case fits, the slim case doesn't. Not to mention the poor quality of the case. If anyone finds a leather pull case with a nice interior (microfibe, suede, etc) and that will fit the phone with a case on it, p,ease let me know. Until someone. Ones out with a dry apply screen protector that curves to fit the screen, I'm rocking it without a front protector, so I need a good pull case that won't scratch the screen.

Just want to verify that the CASABELLA I Pouch fits great with the Bumper installed on the N4.
See pictures for fit.

I have this one.
It's a bit of a tight fit, but it works great for keeping the phone in my pocket without a case.
Quality is good.
Plus, I love the bugdroid...

Spigen SGP Accessories

Just noticed that SGP has a few new accessories listed for the GS4 plus a great deal along with it. If you buy any of their GS4 products, you get a free screen protector along with it, which i'd assume is their Ultra Crystal. For anyone that hasn't used these protectors in the past they are hands down the best on the market as far as clarity, and glass like feel. They have 3 cases available plus one more "coming soon" along with a leather pouch. I'm not sure which of the cases I'm going to get yet as they all look really nice. Here's the link to the page: http://www.spigen.com/cell-phone/samsung/galaxy-s4-cases.html

Ya it does I just wish I knew how much bulk it adds.
Well it is called slim armor so im sure not that fat
yea, i agree. the slim armor looks nice. I might pair that up with the glas.t. this will be a work phone...i only get one!
I have the SGP Slim Armor in the Black/Red on my iPhone 5 (IMO - this purchase was not well informed). Regardless, of what phone I have the case is AMAZING. Adds no bulk and is made extremely well. My only gripe with this case is the headphone jack hole in the case is not big enough for when I plug it into my AUX input and I have to take it off every time. Other than this small gripe, I highly recommend this case!

Also checked the cases. I like the look of them very much. Only sad thing is, that the resellers in my region only sell iphone stuff. If I order one directly from spigen, the shipping will double he cost of the case

BTW, did anyone order anything on Easter? Spigen had a 20% off your order sale on Easter.

That two tone stripe shows up on a few of the pictures, if thats the case I'll go with the NEO

I got my Spigen Ultra Fit Case today. (Not the hybrid one.) I figured this one would probably arrive before the phone ever did. Gotta love having a case before the phone.

10 Samsung Galaxy S4 Cases&Covers You're Going To Want To Check Out

The Samsung Galaxy S4 is barely out there in the hands of reviewers and there is already a variety of cases pledged for the 5-incher with a Full HD Super AMOLED display. Putting a case on your precious and expensive S4 is a no brainer, given that Samsung went with plastic for the chassis again, albeit with a metal side rim this time.
Most popular makers are already starting to come up with the best case scenarios for the Galaxy S4, and we are sure a lot more are in the works, including battery ones, so check out the cases below to know what's out there when you wrap your hands around Samsung's new flagship device. These cases should be available shortly after the GS4 is released globally on April 26th.
1. Samsung S View Cover $59.99
Nothing better than the original, and Samsung actually infused its own case accessories with the novel S View Cover, which, besides clipping to the the handset, protecting the screen and the back, has a transparent cutout which shows tailored info and notifications on the phone's screen when the cover is closed.

7. Cygnett Urban Shield Carbon Fiber white $29.99
Worried that the HTC One comes in a slick aluminum chassis? Fret not, you can one up it now (pun intended) by dressing your Galaxy S4 in no less than carbon fiber. Take that HTC! 8. Benks Totem Matt Cover $16.78
Made out of a thin and resistant flexible material the TREAD by benk's design provides a pretty inexpensive way to stop worrying about scratches on your Galaxy S 4, and the Tottom-thread pattern allows for a much better grip.

Want to see your Galaxy S4 in a really catchy translucent color? Here comes Glacier by Case-Mate - a flexible protective wrapping in candy color that is sure to attract some attention.
10. iLuv Jstyle $79.99
The most expensive case in this Galaxy S4 collection is a Swiss army knife of a wrapping, as it's made of genuine calf leather, features five slots for cards and IDs as well as three openings for cash and coins, at the same time providing protection for the S4, and keeping its ports and buttons easily accessible.
Well there you have it folks. To those who know me, know I'm somewhat of a case whore as I've bough about 6 different cases for my Galaxy Nexus which 3 of them I ended up giving away after trying out and rotating the other 3.
Looking at this line up above, I will most definitely try at least 3 of them. I'm not in to bulky cases so I will be getting with the white ROCK Slim cover, the white Samsung S View Cover and the Belkin Slim-Fit armband for working out to go with my White Frost GS4.
Do any of these cases interest you? Looking forward to a particular brand that wasn't mentioned above? Let us know by replying in this thread!
I'm waiting on my Uag case to be delivered, supposedly by third week of may. Had it on my S3 and fell in love with it.

This case was actually picked up with the Paltinum (PT) branding @ Best Buy. I'm glad that I picked up something locally because my Trident case order has disappeared thanks to USPS.
It features:
Anti Static Coating - supposedly helps it to not grip your clothes. Overall feel I'd have to say leans towards slippery, but not as slippery as plain plastic. Has a little rubbery feel to it.
Play Through Design - All buttons are easily assessible. No rubber covers over existing buttons (ie power, home button, and volume rockers.
Face in Holster Design - This is suppose to protect the face of the device, but does not give you the option of viewing your phone without unholstering it like the Otterbox Defender case. Also small debris can get caught on the felt. This may put an abrasive object between the holster and your screen. Depends on the thickness of said piece of debris whether or not it could cause damage. The outsides of the case should provide a bit of standoff between the felt and glass normally.
Fully Removable Holster - Use with or without the holster. Your preference.

It works... Barely. Sliding it on did lift the glass protector off a little at corners but using fingernails to lift up on the black lip edge of the case made it pop up and the glass sat underneath just fine. It's a tight fit though

Because of the wonderful branding gods @ Best Buy.
I didn't find any official statement on this. Perhaps I should visit Seidio in Houston and ask for an official statement ha!
Too bad I'm not going to CTIA this year.

Cases/covers: what are you using?

Just as it says, what is everyone using?
I'll go first. Currently using a cheap generic cover from mall. An otterbox defender is on order, however.
Ever since I saw the Nexus 5(one of the most fragile smartphones I've experience over the past couple of years) in a drop test in the Bugdroid Cruzerlite TPU case on YouTube, I have been sold on their cases. I was a fan of simple bumper cases before these.
Since I am used to having one of those on my N5, when I first got the G3, it felt too thin, was hard to grip and hold properly. Since then, I have received the black Bugdroid case(3 days ago) and I have been loving it on the G3. I couldn't say enough good things about the case and how it feels in the hand with this device
Love my Bodyglove case! Feel great and super grippy.

Circle cover case cause I wanted the wireless pma charging ability and I like the circle case lock screen. For the pma charger I picked up Duracell 24 hour three piece set for iPhone 4/4s. Base charger in the set works for the circle case and used the 4s charging case for my work iPhone. Only paid $19 from Amazon for charging set but $59 from att for circle case

How much thicker is the quick circle case compared to the stock back? How difficult would it be to remove the pma reciever & install in stock back?

The plastic isn't flush on the corners like oem back but it doesn't look bad. Also the back feels more tactile. There doesn't seem to be a bigger 'bump' on the back vs oem. Main diff is the corners and the feel.
Not sure how hard it would be to do a transplant of the receivers....

Bought the case linked below while I wait for the red Seidio Surface case/holster combo to become available. For $9, it's much more than I expected. Very good quality and has a kickstand on the phone shell and the holster.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00KSK56UG/ref=redir_mdp_mobile?ref_=cm_sw_r_udp_awd_LcwZtb0FQ5Q8W
I have Spigen slim armor and zagg invisible shield glass. Both provide excellent protection.
Supcase Bumper C ase
I'm using supcase bumper case and a glass screen protector. It's a frost back so you can see the back of the phone and it's a perfect fit.. Its thin so it adds minimum bulk. Got it off amazon.:good:
Raw doggin it for now. Cases add too much bulk for my liking, till I drop it and it takes a beating. Then I'll most likely get as small and thin a case as I can find.
I picked up the AT&T tempered glass screen protector. It is on the expensive side at $29, but I used the $15 Isis credit that the AT&T rep hooked me up with, so the out of pocket cost was only $15 and it was great to get it right away. I bought the phone at bestbuy and they didn't tell me about the Isis credit.
The protector is great. No complaints.
I really want the official slim case when it is available in the US.
Im using the Otter Box Defender. It does add some bulk but the protection is extraordinary and it looks nice as well. The one downfall of this case is the screen protector is reflective.
On your defender holster clip, is there an excessive amount of space at the bottom between the holster and phone?
Just got a white Poetic Invictus case off ebay. The G3 version does not have the funky kickstand. Good fit with not too much bulk. It's no otterbox, but for $12.95 I can't complain. Only gripe is that the plastic is rather slippery.
Rocking a black incipio dualpro with an iCarez 0.2mm tempered glass screen protector. Works nice and looks good too!

Currently using the PT Platinum, it was the only thing Best Buy had in store for the LG G3. I was waiting for the Otterbox Symmetry Series to show up on Amazon so I can return the PT, but it hasn't yet..
I think the Otterbox site has themfor sale
I can count on a single hand the number of times I dropped my Galaxy Note over the past 2.5 years, and it was mostly onto carpet, so I felt getting a giant Otterbox this time around would be superfluous. I'm using a Spigen Slim Armor Case, which has much better grip than the actual phone, has decent padding on the inside, and isn't too thick. I've had it for five days and love it. The LG G3 would slide out of my pocket while driving, but with the case there's enough friction to prevent that, though not enough to make it a hassle pulling it out.

Actually, the defender series this time doesn't seem as bulky as in the past. But I'm still thinking about buying the slim armour and a leather holster.
super snug case. looks good.

What M9 cases is everyone using?

Just as the title asks...
This is a thread to share M9 cases&screen protectors based on your own real experience, it would be some help to others' to find a favorite case for their new buddy.
Now I'm using Arozell M9 case on Amazon[ http://www.amazon.com/dp/B012ODTG82 ] over 6 months and it really did the job.The look of the case is amazing. It is made of a plastic that does not feel cheap. There are two interlocking pieces, which makes it simple to remove/put on the case without much hassle. On top of that, there is a stand that folds into the back of the case, when you close it has a very pleasant "clink" when you snap it open and closed. Even though it has this fold-out stand, it does not take up any unnecessary space like a lot of cases that you can find.
Most importantly for me, the case encloses the entire phone. Many cases you will find do not have plastic that wraps around all of the edges of the phone resulting in the entire bottom portion of the phone exposed. This one does protect all of the sides and bottom, with nicely contoured openings for the speaker, headphone jack, and lightning port.

I have 4 cases. The Ringke Slim Gold case which I posted on here already, the Orzly FlexiSlim in smoke black which i really like - its ultra thin!
http://orzly.com/orzly-flexislim-case-for-htc-m9-smoke-black.html
and currently I am using this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/MYRIANN-Ult...t=LH_DefaultDomain_0&var=&hash=item46386f94b3
It's like the Poetic Atmosphere but its a clear case - I wish it was smoke translucent.
I've been using a black Ringke Slim. Super slim, love it.
Currenly using the Spigen Slim Armor... generally speaking, I find the Spigen cases to be about as "no-frills-y" as they get, but this one does come with an added feature... gonna post a separate blog about it, but I can definitely confirm that it successfully resisted a 2'-4' drop on corners and face down.
I really like the Tech21 Evo Tactical

Im using this one with the InvisibleShield HDX screen protector, both recommended by the T-Mobile rep who checked me out when I got the phone. He uses the same setup on his M9, says his phone goes through hell, but it looked pristine to me. I've already dropped mine 10+ times in the 2 days I've had it, not a scratch. The "self-healing" tempered glass InvisibleShield is great for the screen, too.
I m using dot view ice premium and generic black slim case and I am happy with them up to now. No spigen purchased 'cause i think they do some bulky cases nowadays.
Except this One

Otterbox Defender.
What's the thinnest one that protects the camera?

Spigen Neo Hybrid does a nice job and the camera is just right. I've been using it for over a month
Has anyone picked up the new HTC clear shield case yet? I am trying to compare it to the Spigen Ultra Hybrid as both look pretty similar.
I'm with otterbox right now, and whenever they are available, i'll pick up some junky ones on aliexress. They take a while to get here, but it's nice to have a variety without spending lots.

Ringke Slim
Switched to otterbox, had HTC dotview, but the binding started to rip so I returned it. HTC dotview is a cool concept , but is not practical if you use your phone a lot (IMO)
Went from Spigen Neo Hybrid to UAG and never looking back
Im using a Seidio dilex case with kickstand
Another vote for the Spigen Neo-Hybrid. Nice color choices for the bumper and not bulky.
My UAG arrived today and it looks and feels great. Very pleased.
