Hi can someone with a uk version unlocked stock sensation xe tell me what rom version it's on please .

1.73.401.4 and its running android 2.3.4 with sense 3.0. This is from a stock sensastion xe I bought new 5 days ago.

Did you s-off your xe ? If yes is it with Revolutonary Alpharevx tool ?
Or is it factory s-off by htc ?

How can you NOT s-off your device and use your phone's true and unlimited potential ?
This is similar to Jail Breaking iPhones

Lol, mate I just came from having a HD2 and I worked that phone to max ! Hardspl, about 60 roms etc etc and dual booting wp7 and android It's only been a few days and I haven't really read up on what to do with the sensation yet. I don't know what s-off and all the other terms are yet but what are the benefits, apart from being able to change roms ?

I had HD2 and from that I had upgraded to my first Android device which was Desire HD , Android was very confusing at the beginning but later on it became understandable.
S-OFF is just like Hard SPL , once you S-OFF your device ( Security OFF) then you can easily ROOT your phone , it's the same logic as HSPL but different approach same result
Once S-OFF and rooted , you can use many other applications to take over your Sensation and use it's powers to the limits.
Try it , you will NOT regret it

Hi,
The original Sensation and the XE are exactly the same phone ,bar some pretty external cover.
So, anything you see in the "Sensation" forums is good enough for your phone.

Almost the same, different size of internal memory I think.

It's a rebranded Sensation with the Evo 3D's Battery, Red accents & Beats Earphones.
It doesn't have 4G.

So I have a Sensation XE and I'm wondering whether rooting is the same way for the Sensation?

Hi,
They are essentially the same phone under the hood.
Whatever you can do for one,will work on the other.
That includes rooting and ROMS,kernels,apps,mods,add-ons,etc.etc.
Just go for it.
