cm10 fxp lags and bugs
well the fxp team is no doubt doing a great job but when i installed the cm10 on my xperia j ...oh my good god i was so disappointed the phone became very laggy..it used to lag every now and then! , applications getting force closed and so so so so much of lag . plus the apollo too started not responding. I soooooo wanted to use the cm10 so flashed it with different recoveries but still no luck ...and now i dont wanna soldier on anymore so m back to the stock rom after reverting back everything . The bootloader AND ALL. waiting for official update now :-|

yeah you shouldn't expect too much, after all fxp just started developing for the xperia j, it should be better in one or two updates. Fxp will constantly improve the rom as time goes on.
As for Sony's jelly bean update it should be live when they release the xperia z and zl.

most stock based ics roms should not need a unlock bootloader, but they will not do much, maybe give you root and trim some bloatware.

Plus lets me configure init.d, launch scripts doing lot of things during boot (like mount extended SD card formatted as ext4), get rid of commercials, run my own scripts doing backups or searches, replacing non critical system applications...
Firewall is important thing for me, too.
Cannot block all what I would like but I can at least partially slow down private information leaking.

[Q]CyanogenMod 10.2 on Xperia L

Hello all XDA Members!
I've got a question. Do we have CyanogenMod 10.2? If yes, when? I'm using CM on all of my devices with Android, so this is important for me.
I'm new there, so sorry if my English is bad

Are you joking ? CM 10.2 isn't realse yet. We have a developer developing 10.1 for us but the rom is in pre-alpha version.
You can check it out here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2382610

Okay
1.Cyanogenmod 10.2 is released and building for select devices.okay live with it.
2.our devs are not exactly jerpalea who btw is legen....wait for it....dary \m/ they are starting from scratch hence are building cm10.1 since that was the last stable release.
so either wait for freexperia to get the device or let our developers finish their work on cm10.1 to begin with cm10.2.
PS we will get there.
Thanks for link and answer
may be it will but not now bro
CM 10.2 will use 4.3.3

Cyanogenmod 10.2 releases with Android 4.3 at core.
Just today Cyanogenmod 10.2 is released which is based on Android 4.3 and it has come to 70 devices, but not Sony Xperia L ,will somebody tell me what the hell is this, such a nice and capable device ia not in Cyanogenmod supported devices. Even if not 10.2 , there is no cyanogenmod for Xperia L any version!! now this frustrates me. Please accelerate this request.
God dammit. Look at the Cyanogenmod thread for god sake !. We will have it... Just wait. Buy some coffee/tea and wait. FXP bought the device and we have to wait.
Sorry I am new and thanks for the notification

FXP - free xperia project, they buy xperia devices and bring to it cm.Previous i had a x8 and they too maked for it first cm 7.
Good to hear that FXP will maintain this device.Btw where you read this?
And don't forget CM10.x = many custom roms,MiUi and why not Ubuntu Touch...
I have heard it on Xperia L group on Facebook. But Don't worry guys. CM will be there.
Ok Good!!!
Its good to hear that FXP is at work , and how old is the news? i.e. since when are they on work on this device?? Anybody??

It may take a few weeks/months.
Just give it some time, there are no wizards here.
I remember that I could enjoy CM 7 in my Xperia X8 and it was not needed to unlock the bootloader. I'm kinda down because now it's almost essential to have a unlocked bootloader to taste these ROMs but I can't unlock it in my XL. But I still have a little hope :fingers-crossed:
Man I contacted FXP they don't have Xperia L and are also not planning to buy and develop for one.
I am really sorry to say that.

Quick/smooth, I couldn't extensively test the performance since I didn't have access to Internet or Play Store
I just compiled it quick on my Ubuntu VM and put the ZIP on my phone and tried it quickly before leaving.

Yes, but if the rom has a custom kernel you should delete it from the zip file, and just flash the stock kernel.
BUT! If the rom is CM based or CM. There's no luck for you to install the rom. Cause it needs to be unlocked.

What file? You mean custom roms?
If you want a latest UI z/z1, go for
Seraphic
*Inside the zip file, just delete the intuisy kernel.*
And if you want a fast performance. Use
AlienRom
Other rom you can use:
This rom is just like seraphic. I just dont know their differences.
Doomsday
Thats me again,
ok I do have an unlockable Bootloader on my Xperia J
I did install superuser
But what do I have to do to get the Alienrom on my Xperia J

Just flash the rom, then after that flash the stock kernel. The rom doesnt have any custom kernel, so its safe.
