Cruzerlite cases generally hug the phone very tightly, requiring a little bit of faff when they are new to get them on perfectly lined up. They never tend to accumulate daily hand grease either.
I find it almost impossible to get mine off my s3 without it ripping off it's back cover with it!
Undecided whether to grab one or a few of these, or get the bumper...or both, decide when I have them both!
I'm thinking teal too @sickred...from seeing one for the GNex, does it look girly?
I loved the green one on my white s3, but somehow I don't think green will look right with a black phone, but I dunno.
Using this on my gnex. Gotta get some as well for the n4. I'm a caseaholic

They have very high quality cases but I don't like the side ridges as they add bulk to the phone and in the past the fit caused my screen protectors to peel. Would be nice if they came out with a really slim one. The closest I found was their first one with all the little Andys on it. Unfortunately the protector had some rough spots on the edges that I had to melt with a lighter to smooth down. Company was great about it though as the owner have me a new one for free. I think I've purchased a total of five of their cases and gave one to my dad for his extended battery Verizon model. They were one of the only case maker that actually had cases that fit the bigger battery.
Stupid android on back fail
I've got a couple of cruzerlite cases for my sgs3 and they are awesome. Just enough ridge on the top to save the screen if it falls on a flat surface, and its slim and durable. I'm going to preorder at least one for my wife's new N4, but since they aren't available I'm also going to have to get a Cimo case. (They are pretty terrible compared to Cruzerlite - something about the material just sucks. I've got 3 for my SGS3 that I haven't used since I got my Cruzerlites. But they'll do the job in the meantime..)
I absolutely love the look of Cruzerlite cases...but they seem to be lacking in protection compared to the plain TPU cases you can find on eBay. For instance, it seems that the power button is not covered and is simply protruding out of the case. A drop on that side would easily damage it. Also, I'm not sure that these cases have lipped fronts as normal TPUs do and that's a huge deal for me. If I'm wrong about either of these things, please feel free to correct me, but until Cruzerlite matches the sexiness of these cases with protection, then I won't be purchasing one.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda-developers app
Haven't seen the n4 case but on my SGS3 there is a nice lip above the screen and the buttons don't protrude at all. Even the camera bump is safe..

I just thought I would link this up for you all. Skin for the back & screen protector. if you use promo code "HPFIRESALE" you get $15 off of each one you order. I ordered 2 for $40 + shipping. I will follow up once I receive mine. http://www.stealtharmor.com/store/touchpad/
Update 9/15
So, I received my Stealth Armor order yesterday. This is definitely not just some sticker you are putting on the device. It is made from a tough 3M vinyl material. Definitely good for protection The back cover took about 20 minutes to install only because it was just a pain to get lined up decent. Once it got lined up and looking good, I took a blow dryer and waved it back and forth along the edges and corners and smoothed off with my hands. If you don't do this you will have wrinkles on the corners.
This also came with a nice screen protector a well. This was a lot quicker and easier to install. I must warn you though, the material is a little soft. Don't use too much force when moving it around on the screen or it may stretch a little bit. That happened to mine just a tiny bit on one edge. My girlfriend's came out perfect though. Since you are applying this like you do auto tint, the screen will be hazy for a couple days.
I bought this to use with either a sleeve or folio type case to travel with. This is great for when holding the tablet because it gives that grip that the shiny slippery plastic doesn't. I am now not so worrisome about scratches etc when laying the device down.
I would order one of these!! How think does it make the TP? How much weight does it add?? Can you post pictures?

Might go for a black one too... Or a different colour...hmm don't know
Quite like the grey but they don't have it
Pictures of what it looks like with the back cut out.
I'm not a fan of mine. The fit is way too tight, I feel like I'm going to break the glass when I remove the case.
I just got my clear one from last week and a blue one. No complaints here, good for the price and is thinner than the tpu case i bought for my htc desire ages ago. Gives a nice grip and doesn't look bad personally.

Haha, thanks for the picture, but I meant more with what the OP was going to do, cutting out the back and all.
---------- Post added at 02:22 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:20 PM ----------
Thanks for the picture, but I was looking for what the OP was talking about, cutting out the back portion to make a bumper case instead.
So I was browsing ebay for cheap hard shell cases for a DIY project when I stumbled upon these cheap cases. I bought a couple and they got to me from China to Los Angeles as early as 4 business and one case lagged behind and arrived 8 business days later. Overall shipping was really fast. Overall the cases are really nice and snug but one thing that stood out the most was it's very easy to remove from the case. With the Ringke Slim Case, I would worry about scratching the chrome bezel but this thing pops out like a charm yet it snug enough for me to not worry about it coming out on its own. Will i the phone pop out if I drop it? Doubt it.
These cases are super slim and you can actually see the Nexus logo through the case. It's not noticeable unless you look for it and even then, it's very faint but that just gives you the idea of how slim it is. The plastic feels close to what the rubberized plastic feels like on the nexus so it feels good in the hand and actually feels like a premium case in my opinion. I own a couple Ringke cases, a poetic bumper, and various flip cases and this $2 case is my favorite out of them all. For those who have the Ringke case and a back skin protector, you'll notice two lines streaming down the back, this doesn't cause that. I have the Best Skins Ever skin protector on the back and have no issues with it. I do not have a front screen protector so I can't comment on how it would act with one. Now of course there are some minor annoyances defects with this case, it's a cheap $2 Chinese case, but the pros greatly out weigh the cons and they are only cosmetic. The one thing that this case has that stands out for the rest is that it has a cut out for the sim tray, something I haven't seen on any other case and may or may not be a downside. For me, I don't mind. Also pushing the power button may take some getting used to but it's not an issue. Other than that I love the hell out of this case and I'm glad I bought a bunch and it has a logo-less design! I'll upload some pics below.
Pro's
*No Logos
*Feels premium
*No streaks on the back of the phone like Ringke
*Cheap
*Fast shipping
*Super lightweight and thin
*Doesn't interfere with back skin protectors
*Has a rubberized plastic feel
*Looks amazing in person
*Sim tray cut out
Cons
*Very minor cosmetic blemishes
Tl;Dr: Overall I love it more than any other case I have bought including the slim Rearth case. Definite buy. For something $2 it definately feels better than those $10+, $20+ cases
pics
http://imgur.com/a/mLGsE
In one of the pictures, you'll see a little bit of excess plastic and there's a seam that runs along side the case. You can't feel it but you can clearly see it. Those are the only cosmetic blemishes and can me remedied easily.
thanks for the review! for me the biggest con's that I've picked out right away are the lack of protection for the top and the bottom of the phone, rendering it 1/2 way useless, considering 1/2 times the phone drops on it's top/bottom. I might have looked at the case wrong, but from the photos, it seems like there are only sides and back protection.

Yeah the top and bottom are exposed and for some reason imgur only uploaded half the photos I wanted. This is my personal opinion on the case and I can see how the top and bottom exposed would be an issue for some. It completely went over my head on that part. For ~$2 I would still pick one up to play with. Originally this was meant fit a diy project but it won me over as a plain case

It looks like the seller is also selling TPU cases for $2.33. I have yet to find a TPU case that I like for this thing. Maybe I'm just too anti-cases in general.

Quite happy with my Ballistic case for my Nexus 5. It does add some bulk, but if you're used to that with the N4 Ballistic case I can't see how this would be bothersome.
No issues with taking it out of my pocket and having the rubber bumpers getting stuck
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
I use a Ballistic Aspira series case. Good build quality, good protection, not overly bulky, and adds a little more natural curve to the back of the phone that makes it more comfortable to hold.
I had the Ballistic SG Maxx case on a Nexus 5 that I was testing and found the outer hard shell to be far to slick for me to get a reasonable grip on the device. I also found the included screen protector didn't sit properly on the screen, leaving a gap between the protector and the screen, except at the edges. My final issue was that the belt clip hardly opened at all, and wouldn't close all the way around a typical leather belt.
That said, I thought the case itself offered great protection for the phone and seemed like it could really take a beating.

looks good.. but for that high of a price for a case, i'm hesitant, because the only cases i've ever bought were for the nexus 7 (both versions) and those either cracked or broke apart with normal wear.
Yeah, it is a touch expensive. I bought the revised official bumper case for my Nexus 5, and it's still in fantastic condition. It was $35 on Google's old store, as well. I got the version with the fatter, actually usable buttons.
I do also have quite a love for Tech21 cases, but I got the one for the Nexus 5 used, so the clear plastic is unfortunately scratched up.
i love the clear plastic look... but i find a lot of them start turning yellowish, did you have that problem?

I'd like to get this case for my black 6P but $35 is s joke, a case shouldn't cost 7% of the price of the device. The case reminds me of the cool Nexus graphics they had on the Galaxy Nexus and the I/O Galaxy Tab 10.
I don't suppose we'll be lucky enough for it to hit Amazon or eBay for less. Maybe there will be China copies soon!

Well UAG cases are usually $40 plus if you don't like it Google is really good about returns so that's why I bit the bullet and bought 2 of their cases. I still have others coming from Verus, and some other no name TPU cases. I want to protect the sexy phone in style because it looks really nice with the microfiber or whatever on the back

I just ordered myself an adopted clear one too because the other one I bought is for my wife. I think I'm good now on cases after getting 8 of them.
I didn't have any issues with it turning yellow. It was actually a hard plastic case, hence the scratches. Apparently toothpaste can buff out scratches, but everyone forgets to mention that you shouldn't use the gel kind, or any toothpaste with flavoring. Who even has plain paste-style toothpaste?
