[Q] Sync with Samsung Smart TV - Asus Transformer TF700

Hey guys,
I have a Samsung smart TV and wish to play movies and music from my infinity tablet to my display. Is this possible with this Tablet? Samsung allshare only works with samsung products so I need some advice for my situation.
Thanks in advance.

Samsung Allshare should be DLNA compliant, so you could try some DLNA server app.

I have an older Samsung with dlna and use imediashare, it works for stuff stored on internal memory but with my old tv i cant get to the sdcard for files. Try the light version to see if it works, your tv and tablet need to be on the same network so it can be found by yoour tv.

I use swipe it, works flawlessly

[Q] tf700 compatible with Samsung allshare cast dongle?

My brother just got the galaxy s3 and thought what better present than the cast dongle for xmas?
but then he also bought himself the tf700 soo im wondering if the tf700 work with the allshare cast dongle?
do i need to root the tablet ?
thank you!
The short answer is no, it won't. Samsung allshare cast dongle is proprietary and it works with some of their newest models (like Galaxy S3). The miracast standard will fix this, but it is not ready for prime time yet.

miracast / android 4.2 for the note

hey guys, I'm looking at buying a few note 10.1s to use with work and I'm really interested in the Mira cast functions that ship with android 4.2. is there an update due that anyone knows from Samsung for the note to 4.2, and if there is will it support Mira cast?
if bolt, how does Samsung's own sharing work? I really want too be able to plush a custom app we have at work upon into I TV/ projectors and clan isn't an option.
thanks,
Andy

Here's a link to Engadget's Myriam Joire's interview on stage of Samsung's Ryan Bidan yesterday. Joire owns a WIFi Note 10.1 and asked when those of us in North America will get the JB update. Bidan said soon, too. He also said the Verizon LTE tablet will ship with JB 4.2.

Depending on exactly what you are trying to accomplish, it may already be capable via AllShare Cast. I can show my Note 10.1 screen on multiple note 10.1 devices, I think 8 is the max (I have only had 5 going, no more too add or test), but using AllShare Cast, the other devices would display whatever my screen is displaying. This will also work for newer Samsung TV/Displays, at least natively on their "Smart TV's" from 2012 for certain. Also, their is an AllShare Hub accessory that can be purchased to do the same thing on any TV/monitor/projector with HDMI input. It works with both audio & video & while the hub is a bit expensive for older tv's ($99.00 USD), if you register a Samsung device on the Samsung website, you get a code good for %50 off up to 10 items. I used the code to get the Hub for $49.00, as well as for a Navigation & a Desk dock.
It is great for just about anything except racing or fast action games. There is a small lag, nothing major, almost unnoticeable, unless you are playing a game where a few milliseconds can be the difference between wrecking or making a turn in Asphalt. For everything else though, it is pretty sweet. I use it for my older Plasma in the media room.

Note 10.1 already support miracast via allshare cast, if your tv supports miracast it should work on it and if not buy allshare cast dongle

All share cast will mirror whatever is going on on your tab, it is like connecting the tab via hdmi to a screen, so if you run your app on note it will show on every connected device

Just tried this with a yumcha cable purchased from my local market- it works! I'm using jamal's Google Edition 4.3 rom and I can only seem to mirror my display, I can't turn my phones display off yet. My cable also charges my phone, this might mean my specific cable is MHL 2.0.
Thank you. So what happens when you use like Google Play Movies for example... Does it fill the screen in landscape mode and scale right?

I recorded a heap of in-car video- it scales and plays perfectly, games look great too but there is a delay of about 100ms that annoys me. I'll try with a GPlay movie tonight and get back to you.

Yeah i need to do that too

Easy way I'd to use the Chromecast app to mirror the screen to a Chromecast.

Dude we know about that but we need to know if there is some way to do it without chromcasts stuff...

@tazaga unless you have a samsung tv to my knowledge you wont be able to do it without some kind of smart device so @Gary_Berg was quite correct with his answer. Is your TV a samsung tv? do you have a smart device of somekind connected to it? if no to both answers then you cannot do it sorry. I would listen to @Gary_Berg answer if this is the case and get a smart device, i would recommend a fire tv box or stick as you can do so much more with these over chromecast
It does not necessary shouldbe Samsung SmartTV. It can be any TV with Miracast. S6 has SmartVeiw (or ScreenCast in old firmware).Or use Miracast dongle (e.g. ScreenBeam Mini2). not recommend cheap chiness allcasts due to instability...
ScreenBeam Mini2 works great.
@petr_1 thanks you i stand corrected

You will spend more than the cost of a Chromecast unless you have a Miracast device already in hand. I believe some of the newer Roku devices can also do Miracast.
And you didn't specify what you didn't want to hear. For most people, the Chromecast IS the best answer.
