Hi. I'm running cyanogenmod 9 and I want to upgrade to 10 now that the stable version is out.
I have a quick question. do I have to wipe everything and restore my apps with titanium or is there a way to just install the new version over the old one?
thanks
If you check the development page for CM10, Top has all the information and links that will address your questions. Hope that helps.

I was in the same spot as you last night. I on the other hand ran of to some trouble installing the rom and got a "sector 7" error. After some reading found out I had to upgrade my clockworkmod to v. 6. Once that was updated all I did was format system, wipe cache, wipe dalvik then install modem, install stable10, install gaps. Everything came back online without a single problem so to answer your? No you don't have to do a full data wipe. The one extra thing I did was add a extra gapp ziip on top of the first one and the secondary one added Picasa support for the gallery. I would go to the gapp site and get the latest version because the one on TeamChopsticks was out of date. I would post links but on my phone but thought I would save someone the trouble of the simple questions when coming from 9. And like most say always do a nandroid backup.

small updates and testing:
- the battery notification problem does exist with this rom. (i will have to incorporated into the port)
I have tested modded battery notification fix(from somewhere on this forum) and it worked.
- 3g data was dropping for me once i flashed the port.
I than used the apn fix and that resolved data issue. (i was on my phone entire day with no data loss).
- su binaries are out of date issue. I will run the su update fix. And most likely that will resolve that issue.
- Testing

It's an app that was specifically for the Samsung galaxy SIII, but we are able to port to our phones now that we have the ics based roms. Is basically like Siri for Android

well I saw that you can download a hacked .APK for S voice that will work on any ICS phone, so I downloaded the .APK to use on my S2 w/ ICS on it. Now when I go to install it I get a message that says "Application not installed", can any one help me fix this so I can install it? I have seen people on youtube doing it with the S2 so I know it should work on my S2.

Didn't work for me it FC's as soon as I say "Hi Galaxy"
Sent from my SGH-T959V using xda premium
doesn't fc, but the main button freezes right after first command, then I have to kill it to fix it. The other buttons work like help and disable voice response. Also, the only command that seemed to work was "Hi Galaxy". Then it said hi. Other commands I tried included "call mom", and the response I got was "calling mom" and then freeze. The back button clears the messages on the board, but functions are useless.

D2vzw is the 'name' given to our variant if the s3 to identify it to apps.
Dunno what you mean by your other question.
O ok I was just thinking maybe Verizon put a updated version out cause of the bootloader getting figured out or something. So If I buy a new one I won't be limited on flashing anything right?

From my understanding (and it's very likely that I'm wrong) the idea between the 2 different dev forums is that the regular development forums is for TouchWiz (in this case) based roms and the original development is for aosp roms. However there are aosp roms in the regular forums so you got me!

I think it's more like OG Android Development are those built from source vs. those that are built off of a base which would be the Android Development section.
The difference in the forum is pretty much official vs unofficial. I.e. original would have the actual CM/AOSP/AOKP/MIUI roms and the other forum would have unoffical roms based on those.

You need to stop making threads and/or asking such questions, because if you would actually search and read, there's a thread for Google Now in the Themes and Apps Section of this phone's forum, probably first thread listed there. Ugh!

Hi all,
I'm really sorry to start a thread for this but I couldn't find it anywhere else. I've been having a lot of problems with my Skyrocket and am considering sending it in for warranty repairs if a flash to stock doesn't work. So I have the right OS from sammobile and I found the appropriate recovery tool on here. Here's the catch, neither CWM nor the stock tool will flash to the stock OS. It'll revert back to CNM 10 AND Liquid'd 4.1.2 without an issue, but I can not get the stock ROM running. Please help, I'd be so ridiculously grateful.
Check out the developer stickies by Vincom works wonders and when I FlAsH to stick I use Odin and use stock 35th with all the stuff or I use ics leaked to start off from
