So I sent in my tablet for a rma, The screen went out. The part to fix It however was out of stock so they sent me a new one. Well the part came in and know they are sending my old one fixed back. Talk about customer service this is amazing. I though I like Asus before now i love them. Just thought I share this good side of Asus since their are so many horror stories. I'm a customer for life.

Asus set my Christmas right, was not going to be able to get much this year with the price of everything since the economy went to sh*t but hey now I can give my wife this (as I have not showed her yet ). She's a tech lover like me.
This exactly tells how lousy and stupid Asus' customer service is! Don't their left hand know what their right hand has done? Who can run a decent business like that?
This is kinda bull****
They can send you 2 tablets... but they cant fix my screen lift issue because it is unlocked?
give me a break....
This device wasnt really cheap for a student....

To the student i am sorry to hear you cant get yours back that does suck, this tablet is WAY too expensive for the problems it has. Also I did not post this to make anyone mad so hopefully it didn't sorry if it did.

Have u actually got it yet? I to sent mine in for repairs (screen wouldnt power on), no parts avail, they sent a new one a week or so later. A couple more days later i got an email saying my broken one was repaired and i should recieve it within 5-7 days... that was months ago. I just figured they caught their mistake before it was sent out. Funny thing about it mine wasunlocked, running custom rom and all.... never a word from them about it.

i hope this update solves my camera issue i really dont wanna return this
im told it will start rolling out first of next week, as soon as monday
I don't 100% love the transformer, but it is awesome. I do love how Asus is really putting a solid effort in. I've been pretty impressed at them staying on top of stuff.
for my 2nd gen tablet, I'll want something with a little less bezel... aka a tablet that isn't designed around a keyboard dock
Good work Asus!
yeah they been pretty good about the support I also like how they been puttting the updates on the asus website
I am not 100% impressed with honeycomb. But Google is willing to roll the dice and figure it out after release. I am sure 6 months from now we will all be very happy.
Lol that's how everything is now. Manufacturers so eager to get to the market half the time the roll off products halfway done and fix things as they go.
Must be close to done if they're sending it to the press.

I think you mean released, at least when I hear the term "dropped" it means it's been cancelled.
I thought it's canceled
Same here. I have just read the other thread in General about 3.1 and then I saw this one on Dev subforum and thought... Have they already dropped it? But if it's not still out...
Until I opened the thread and read it.
Regards.
Id love for it to come out monday but as a working man, in all reality, monday is memorial day, wtf would they release it on a holiday?

i thought it was cancelled as well, but phew! im very glad to see that asus is right on the ball with the updates, worse thing is when you get a beautiful piece of hardware and then find out you have no support for it, good on ya asus!

ok, I had sent my g2x for repair due to severe backlight bleeding( the top of the screen was actually separating at the top) I send it in. two weeks later I get it back. the issue is still there and what did they repair? The sheet said they replaced the housing due to a scratch. There was not a single scratch on the phone so they repaired something that didnt need to be repaired and ignored what did. I called them up and told them everything. This time they sent me a shipping label to send it back to them. I spoke to a supervisor and they even said that my phone didnt sound like the normal bleeding and they would correct it. I send it back in.. today I get it back, screen bleeding is still there, screen seperation is still there and to make matters worse the screen now has 3 dead pixels that were not there before. What does the repair sheet say? They replaced the SD/Sim reader because it was faulty. ummm no it wasn't.. it was working perfectly before I sent it in.. I really cant believe them.. now I have to send it in for a 3rd time!!!!

If I were you I would consider reporting this to their human resources department. Most of the time the supervisors and employees of the technical department can be incompetent. I would advise you to ask for their human resources department. File a complaint that this has happened multiple times and that way human resources would have to call in those employees who keep screwing up your device's repair. Seriously, because at this point they are just bullshitting if you can send it in twice and they wont fix anything that needs to be fixed.
I keep reading these stories about faulty phones. I haven't had any problems with mine. I've flashed all the Roms on this thing and have never had any issues with reboots or anything like that. Maybe I'm just one of the Lucky ones that got one of their products that actually works.

Dude I will never purchase another LG product ever. My refrigerator is LG and guess what its faulty also, the Ice maker works when it wants to and it also reboots.
You should link up with the dude who filed the Class Action Suit against LG and have your issue added to the case as they are in breach of warranty.
Samsung and HTC FTW!!!
Note: I heard that even their new Cine-LED TVs have a rebooting problem.
Update: I didn't send it in for a 3rd time; Instead I waited for them to respond to my BBB complaint. I got a call from LG yesterday about the complaint and told them about the ordeal. She called me back today and told me they would send me a new phone. All I have to do is sign a waiver and send back the old phone (charger, battery and all) and she will next day air out a new one to me. I'm thinking this will be from their new batch(hoping it's not a refrib but dont think it will be since she wants me to send back everything). I will report back when I get the replacement.
I will be selling it when I get it anyway as I moved to sprint. True unlimited data, $125 port credit per line, True GV integration plus 23% of my monthly bill. I couldnt resist. At least I'll have a brand new g2x to sell when it comes

So what that illustrates VERY clearly is that your initial post was precipitous and unneccessarily inflammatory.
Unless you think the guy who "stole it" suddenly felt remorse and decided to return them without opening first. Yeah, ok.

That fondue pot's looking pretty good XD. I didn't see it this morning, it's there now. I ordered over the phone and the expected delivery date is the 19th-24th.
EDIT: Anyone notice that the dock is $160 at Best Buy?
EDIT2: A side note...they offered a warranty of some sort (I didn't really listen, I just wanted to get the thing ordered already), some Geek Squad warranty against physical damage like drops and breaks, it even covered water damage. Anyone think that would be worth it? I don't think I'll be taking my tablet to the shower with me anytime soon, but it might be helpful if it's actually a good service and I do happen to break it.
we claim to know a thing or two about android and the devices we carry around so when we buy a zagg shield for out device we always get the customer service rep saying "would you like us to put in on for you?" my new advice to this is YES! i dont care how cool you think you are or how much you know about android, if i can pay $10 for someone to put it on and if it ****s up or dont put it on right then they give me a brand new one and its on them, not me.

I don't see a reason to pay someone to do something that I, myself, am perfectly capable of doing. That's just wasting money. Besides, if you screw up the Zagg install, tell them that the adhesive isn't holding and you want to exchange it... it does have a lifetime warranty. As long as you can do it in two tries, it'll probably cost less overall (shipping the protector to/from Zagg) than paying someone.
Here's a nice tip to help you install screen protectors, though:
http://lifehacker.com/5927704/apply-a-screen-protector-perfectly-every-time-with-the-hinge-method
Personally, I think you're probably better off with a set of Great Shield protectors from Amazon... I think it's $10 for a 3 pack. My girlfriend and I have them on both of our EVO View 4Gs and love them. The one I ordered for the TF700 arrived today and will be installed when I get home from work. But $10 for three tries to get it right... I think most people would accomplish the goal for less than the cost of a shield installed at an electronics store.
If the answer to the question has anything to do with tablet computers, probably not.
ive already applied it and it looks fine. it was just such a pain in the ass because i wanted it to be perfect. its 10 bucks to get bestbuy to do it but if the guy ****s it up then i just have to be like, "no, thats not how its supposed to be" then i watch him walk over and get a new one and do it again.

After installing many screen protectors (and ruining many), I would *gladly* pay someone $10 to put it on for me - it can be a *very* frustrating process, to say the least!
Phones are not too bad, but tablets are much bigger and it's much harder to get the protector on just right...

especially when you pay 30 bucks for one.... i would spend 10 bucks for the place to put it on and ensure that its on correctly since im not ever going to take it off... and if it gets damaged, zagg will replace it.
I've never had any problems putting them on. Just take your time, be patient, and use lots of the spray bottle stuff. Just like putting window tint on. First, get it lined up right, then lift each side to halfway point, and slowly smooth it down and get bubbles out.

I remember hearing something about the Best Buy employees soaking the device in the solution so they didn't have to try twice. Specifically soaking iPhones to the point that the solution would come out of the volume rocker and and other places for up to 24 hrs after install.

Screen protectors really are like condoms.
1st they just don't feel right when in use and 2nd they can't really protect you 100%.
So I just use them the way they originally came.
