Why does a black bar appear when HDMIing out? - Transformer TF300T Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

When I attach a micro HDMI cord to my tablet a black bar appears over the action bar (Am I using the right word for it?). For some apps this will cut off the bottom portion of the display. Is there any reason for this? Is this just how it works?

Yes. I have it too. I think it's just corection from 16:10 to 16:9

[Q] How do you edit the today wallpaper?

How do you stretch the today wallpaper in the fuze? I can set it but its tiled, how do I make it centered or stretched to fit the screen?
Ok I figured out the change. I changed the resolution for the pic to 480*640 and it works just fine now. Its stretched to the entire screen.
BUT I have a new problem
I now have task bar showing at the top when I lock my phone. The battery bar, carrier, volume icon, start button etc. How do I get rid of it?
Also how can I change the clock and unlock scroll bar between the top screen and bottom screen?

HDMI problem

well when i connect my transformer the notification bar and a very litte part off the screen is cut off any way to fix it?
Select the ratio on the tv to scan, it should fit perfectly
i figured it already
still not so perfect
it cuts in the device not in TV
this is not a "problem" it cuts 80px off the bottom of the screen leaving what is left at 720p which is a standard format
the screen on the transformer is 16:10 (1280x800) but the space where lets say the home screen is at is 16:9 (1280x720) then more for the notification bar, so if you got a 16:10 screen it should fit. if you got a 16:10 screen thats 1280x800 or 1920x1200 then it will show the notification bar.

[Q] Can we remove the black bar at top?

Can we allow users to remove the black bar at the top when playing full screen?
In this way, subtitle can be displayed fully in the widened black bar at the bottom, rather than half in the pictures and half in the black bar.

Click to collapse
You can move video upside of the screen.
Check Menu > Display > Settings > Controls > Gestures > Zoom and Pan.
And then you can move video output to any direction by dragging video image with two fingers. (Just like Gallery picture dragging gesture)
Is this possible to move video on the tv box that doesnt have a touchscreen? With a mouse or a keyboard shortcut?

We are already planning to add more controls to TV screen.
Kindly be patient till it's ready to be rolled out.

Black navigation on all screens

Hi,
Since the update to one ui 2.0, i have a permanent black bar where the navigation buttons usually go,(i used gestures btw).
Its like the black bar you get under the keyboard which i have turned off, but still just get an empty black bar at the bottom of my screen now.
I've drawn round it in red to show what I'm on about in the attached picture.
Is anyone else having this issue and how i do i remove it.
Thanks in advance
Sometimes the bar will change colour to what's on the screen, but before the update it wasn't there at all.
Hi, I only got that when I used the kwgt app to theme my phone. I still want to know why but anyway once uninstalled my phones back to normal.

Question Unlock floating screens (picture in picture) to move anywhere

The picture in picture screen does not move anywhere.
o this is not a glitch. Samsung actually added borders that the picture in picture screen can't go in.
Is there anyway to unlock the edges of my screen? When watching videos I'm sure everyone would prefer it in the corner. Not middle of screen. So u can work and watch easily.
in my case, the floating window can be moved to any position to the sides, that is, it always stick to the left or right sides
