[OFF-TOPIC] Why choosing Galaxy Fit as your smartphone ? - Samsung Galaxy Fit GT 5670

Just sharing experience
Why did you decide to buy Galaxy Fit, not the other smartphone?
When I came to the shop, there is 2 choice
A new Samsung Galaxy Young OR second Samsung Galaxy Fit, because at that time I don't have so much money
I'd like to choose Galaxy Fit as my (first) smartphone
What about you ???
#Sorry if my English bad

well i have to choose betwen fit and mini, and like fit for yhe camera and it looks way better than mini .. also i dont have enought money to spend on myself, but is a really good purchase, no regrets:beer::beer::beer:

And now, I think I should change my phone to Sony lol

Coz I didn't have enough money when I bought it , buy mini 2 it's cheaper and better except its camera !

Well, to be honest my budget was 10k and galaxy fit was available in that range. No regrets though..

Money. Before 17 months I bought this mobile. I now have the intention to buy LG Optimus L7 (P700). In later than 6 months.

Cause i wanted a cheap and great phone and didn't want to spend much on my first phone.
Sent from my GT-S5670

First, Samsung is trustworthy brand, secondly, I wanted atleast 5MP camera which I got via this. Never handed it to SSC... only me 'n' my fit.
Sent Via XDA™ Premium

Well because at Egypt,I got money as soon as fit has came there, and there was no higher smart phones than fit at this time so i bought it, 1 week later, ace arrived, then S, ace plus , etc

I had to chose between galaxy fit or galaxy min or galaxy pop. I chose galaxy fit for better camera.

Galaxy Fit fits my budget . I really liked Ace which was beyond my reach at the time. To be honest, i do regret buying it owing mostly to poor performance and poor display.

My Fit turned out to be a guinea pig tried more than 15 ROms till now, found that touchwiz jb v5 is the best.... smooth and stable though FM radio is still missing from majority of the ROMS .
FIt is small, handy , unexpensive, everythings good...

Sent from my GT-I9003 using Tapatalk
I still suggest u upgrade to Galaxy Note
u are an animator and Note is a great choice for you as the available of the s-pen is really good for drawing , better than using your finger
second here xda have a particular page for Note
and the customer service of samsung is good also

Check out all the development for all the devices you've selected in xda. S2 should have the most, I personally like sensation XE as I like awesome bass and stuff, but since you like sketching and stuff I guess galaxy note would be the most suitable.

Go for the Galaxy Note! It has quite a pretty big user base in XDA. It probably isn't as big as the S2's but it's sizable enough, so nothing to worry about there.
I would advice you to wait until Galaxy S 3 cames out (May 3th). If you can't afford one then the prices of both (Galaxy S 2 and maybe Note too) will drop (they would became cheapier). Now it's time to wait for a few days.
If you are in hurry and you MUST buy one, then i surely recomend you Galaxy Note (if you find that the screen size doesn't bother you)
okay thnx for the suggestion will be buying on 5 th may and surely w8 for the prices to drop

The next galasy s3
The S3 is coming out on the 3rd of May.. Take a look at that and decide.. I would do that if I were in ur place.. It might take some time to get to ur place (depends), but it should be definitely worth the wait..
It's better to wait for the Samsung Galaxy S3
It will come out on this May..
In OP's last post, it's clear he doesn't intend to buy the S3, in fact, he's waiting to buy after the release of the S3 so the prices of the current models will drop.
Sony xperia s or sgs3 or htc one x

Dude no matter which phone u buy make sure it's launched globally (maybe a flagship) and has a large user base.. These things are directly proportional to the Dev u'll get.. Development is what keeps the excitement alive, no matter if it's a s1, s2 or s3..
s1 after so f**kin long is still up in the Dev race.. All the i9003 users had pushed their budgets a little higher, we would be in a different world.. Hope u understand what I'm trying to say.. Cheers..

Looking for recommendations to buy a new phone

Hi!
I am looking for a new phone for my sister (27), she doesn't really needs a lot from it, so I was looking for something around 200-350$.
I was thinking about getting her a Motorola Defy+ , shes working at an hospital so the extra protection can be a nice benefit (not must).
I would love to get some opinions
thanks ahead.
You can get here in the forum Galaxy Nexus for that price or s2
I would say the s2.

I think its the best phone he can get right?
I would rather say go for xperia ray . Defy and ray are similar in price but xperia ray is much better .
Check the comparison between those two over here :
http://geekaphone.com/compare/Sony-Ericsson-Xperia-ray-vs-Motorola-DEFY
Or if you want to shell some more amount of money you can buy and galaxy s , galaxy s2 or google nexus .
Hope this helps
With your budget , I guess GS2 is the best for you :good:
As someone said before defy<Ray<S2
But i don't know prices in the US. I saw in internet that there are refurbished mobiles at really good price for us customers. I wanted to buy one but they don't send to Spain.
Eitherwise if you can go for the galaxy S2
I would think s2, I have one and I love it.

Dude the Motorola Defy is lag as hell! do NOT buy it! Something cheap and good could be the Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus, cheap and has a very nice performance for the hardware it has, very impresive if you ask me!
Samsung Galaxy SII could be an option if your sister likes to take pictures and likes to play high video quality games on her phone and do many things at the same time.
Cheers! :good:
S2 ... or HTC One S
So yes you can buy a Galaxy S 2 for 200/250 dollars I think, but also a One S of second hand ?
Thanks everybody! you really helped me out here
based on the many opinions I am going to get the GS2 for her
hope she will like it Thanks again!

Android phone for girlfriend

Hi XDA,
my girlfriend got a LG Optimus L3 (40€) from me to WhatsApp with me.
Now her parents want to buy her a new (real) phone around 250€. Her sister chose the Galaxy S3 Mini (250€).
Of course I said, choose the Nexus 4 (310€), choose it, it's awesome, Nexus 4!!!
But she thinks about getting an S3 Mini, too.
Are there any good Android phones for a price around 250€? With nice design and a good camera?
I looked around and the S3 Mini seemed to be a good choice, but WTF, it's half as good as the Nexus - for 60€ less.
Any recommendations? :/
Thank you!
If you're looking for design and camera, Sony will be a good choice. Though the hardware and OS is quite backdated

Well, I showed her all (mid-range) opportunities and she saw the Nexus 4 in a shop, finally she chose to go high-end for cheap with it.
It's available right now in our German Play Store, her parents are even paying her the full 310€, so here we go, luck for both of us

I always stay away from them low end Androids... They usually don't have the speed, space, and usually cause more frustrations than they are really worth... Invest in a mid to high end android and put insurance on it... She will love it!!!
well my 2 cents...
I think you must look at Sony TIPO..its Great for Girls..
well it depends on your girl friend
does she care about the look of the device (the fantastic pinky thing thta makes calls ), or she needs a device that do everything without lagging and with easy UI
if she wants the look , i cant help you
if she needs a good device capable of doing nearly anything , go for nexus 4
then use any launcher to make an easy UI and she will be totally happy

Thinking of replacing my samsung note 2

I have sold my s3 and got a note 2 since december from last year.
The reason i bought such a huge phone was for the s pen. It helped me in college for taking notes, but then ive bought an ipad which can work for the same purpose, except without the s pen.
Nowadays im just not finding the note 2 practical for everyday usage. Its just too big.
So now im Thinking of selling it and either buying either an s4, htc one or xperia z.
Can someone give me feedback on those phones?
I love the design of sony phones, but i also cant live without the features of samsung phones

I can't think of any reason the s4 wouldn't be a good choice.
I would recommend the HTC one. Reason why is because you're coming from a note 2 which is pretty much the same as an S4 minus a couple of features and the 1080p display. The Xperia Z would be a very bad choice as it has sub par battery life, lags and the display is really a letdown. The HTC one stands out with is fantastic display, it's flawless performance, the amazing boomsound, the phone looks beautiful and dev support is excellent.
At the end of the day everything is a matter of preference but do yourself a favor, whatever phone you choose make sure it's between the S4 or HTC one, the XZ is really not that good. I wanted to also recommend the optimus G pro but you said you want something smaller. Cheers.
Sent from my Stealth Black HTC One using Tapatalk 2
Neither the HTC One or S4. If you are thinking of getting a phone for long term, you would be better of waiting for a Snapdragon 800 CPU phone to be released soon instead of getting a Snapdragon 600 S4 or One.
i'll earn money to buy it
Do you require the use of a MicroSD? If the answer is yes, then you can forget about the HTC One. (Say all you want about how it has 64GB internal storage. MTP is so horrendously slow and unstable that copying a 3GB Bluray file simply doesn't work.)
If you can, wait for September. The IFA will be hosted early september, and many will be announing their new phones there. Most are switching to an S800, which is more powerful.
If you can't wait, I'd suggest going with the S4.
Im not really in a big hurry, but what new flag ships are rumored to be shown?
Since you really like S Pen feature. Galaxy S4 should be your choice.

I wouldn't really recommend any of the devices (I've got my hands on S4, Z and One, FYI) over the Note II. But if the size is bothering you that much, go for S4. It's got almost no bezel, and is nearly the same size as S3. Z is probably my least favorite device of all 3, and it's really a tie between One and S4.
But other than that, many users here have switched back to N2, for the record. From both One and S4.

Personally I would go for the HTC One
It is a stunning looking phone and I personally prefer HTC Sense to TouchWiz. All IMO of course, but if I could turn back time I would have got the One instead of the N7105.
32GB Storage is enough for most people, and the only negative is the non-replaceable super sealed in battery where there's no getting at it without wrecking the rest of the phone. From my experience though, this won't be an issue for the lifespan that you'll have the phone.

This depends though on how biased you may be to a particular company.
As bizarre as it sounds, some grown men actually "support" an electronics company the same way normal people support a sports team.

why is supporting a sports team considered normal and support a electronics company isn't? In what ways does a sport team have in connection with it's fans? Nothing. People support a sport team so that they have a sense of belonging, thus filling the mid level needs in Maslow's hierarchy of needs. Different people have difference ways of completing that need. Some "grown" men support their country and hence nationalism, some men support their sport team and hence the sporting industry.
In fact, a normal person can have more sense of belonging to a electronic company because they can buy shares of that company and become part owner.
If you want to change to a similar size just wait for the HTC One Max or the Note 3. They'll be here shortly. Even the Xperia Ultra Z looks nice.
However If you feel that Note 2 is big for you, definitely try the HTC one. Its an awesome phone. I bet you wont give up that one easily.
HTC One would be the way to go, or a Nexus 4.
However, out of experience I can tell: you can get used to a phone with big screen such as the Note 2, but the other way around.. Not really. When I take my Nexus in my hands now, it feels like a freaking toy. The Note is just boss. Also Note 2 community is very alive (on XDA and beyond too) and there are many good TW and AOSP roms and kernels out there..
Off the record: I even dare to say I have a better AOSP experience than on my Nexus, why ? 'Cause of the 5,5" display..
I sold my htc one and bought the note 2. I can tell you what i think (pros ans cons)
1 htc one is much faster than note 2 and s4
2 the big screen in the note2 is a pro and con at the same time. "Pro" because ots really great to play games and read and "con" because its hard to handle it with one hand. Also the htc one sreen is much greater than the note 2, looks a lot sharper and better colors
3 the battery of the note2 is really amazing, i have gotten 8hrs screen time while in the htc one i have gotten 6+ hrs screen time but sometimes just 5hrs screen time
4 the camera on both are great, i like the htc camera more because of the functions and the quality is really great
5 the sound of the htc one is simply the best, even better than some laptops trust me!!
6 you can install a sd card in the note2
7 you have spen in the note2 (i dont use it that much so to me its not a big deal)
Im thinking in sale my note2 and get the htc one again but its hard to leave the great battery life i get with the note2 so its your choice mate

Because it's usually sad losers who ramble on online desperately trying to defend their precious brands and these "fanboys" have no shame.
A supporter of a sports team usually isn't the type of loser who portrays a sad and lonely one man crusade online to defend his precious brand name. Dunno what sports you like mate, but I go for a few beers with my mates and then go watch Arsenal. It is completely different to feeling the need to ramble on whenever a company like Apple is mentioned.
The fanboy "iFail, Crapple" type people are all too frequent and pathetic and they need to get a life.
As for the rest of your rant, I tend to find the online or technology "fanboys" to be more cringeworthy than the rest. Maybe they're sociallu awkward and need support the samsung or apple team (whatever that means).
The only logic fail here is you telling the op that the Note 3 is the best even though he already said the note 2 was too big for him. I would hazard a guess this is because you are one of these aforementioned fanboy characters and can't bear to see anyone suggest anything other than the Note
Sad but true

What made you sell the HTC One in the first place? Out of curiousity..
I've got the LTE Note 2 and I don't think I get much better life than the HTC One. I've been pondering selling up and getting the One..
