[Q] Can a Nandroid back up work on another skyrocket? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

Quick question: if I make a nandroid back up of this skyrocket and I get a new skyrocket via att can I move the nandroid to the new phone and restore it to the new phone and have my new phone running right where I left off??
Has any one done this? Is this safe to do or can it mess up the new phone?
Thanks for the help!

Nandroid from one Skyrocket to another
I just had to replace my Skyrocket and had no issue flashing my backups of Beatz and Liquid. No FC's. Using TWRP 2.3.1
Good luck............

I need help please

I have a problem with my sidekick 4g when I try to go into recovery mode it freezes on the boot logo after that I tried charging it to see if nomorepowah would show up but I have to take the battery out for like an hour I've been trying to find the stock recovery and I can't find it I didn't change the recovery either all I tried doing a long time ago is install cwm but now it freezes when I try to go into recovery anybody have an answer to why its doing this?
Sent from my SGH-T839 using xda premium
Might have to odin back. I think its partially the nomoarpower's fault. Its obviously affecting how your booting, and it is a coverup for boot. Try removing it, and if it dosent work, then odin back to stock, then flash whatever you had. This might not be the solution, just trying to help

Download Titanium Backup and try to delete it.
Then install ICS messaging from the market.
I would assume this would work but I haven't tried it so back it up just in case.

[Q] baseband Version Unknown?

Every modem I flash doesn't fix the problem either. IMEI and SIM card is not recognized either.
There's a problem with 1) your carrier, or 2) something is wrong with your sim.

Try ODINing. Had that problem with certain ROMs and Re-Partitioning fixed it.

I lost all my imei, baseband, phone number etc... after flashing to the blaze modem. I still cant figure it out.
Also, why are we supposed/instructed to use the pda option in odin instead of phone?

I did a backup through cwm. I did notice that after odin'ng back to stock, re-route and install of GO V2, everything was fine. Atleast till i restored my backup. I made a backup after flashing the blaze modem so I am guessing it saved that crap in my backup.
Is there a way to leave out that part of my backup? Atleast that way I can still restore all my apps and settings?
There is option for advance restore

Phone reboots/hangs on splash screen

I really would appreciate some input on this.. I was on NexusMod ICS for about two days before I woke up one morning to find that my phone had rebooted and was stuck at the splash screen. I tried pulling the battery and powering it on but got the same result, so I tried to get into CWM and couldn't. It would boot to recovery but not long enough to actually do anything, so I ODIN'd stock rom and CWM then flashed AOKP build 38 instead of NexusMod. Everything was fine for a few days but this morning I woke up to my phone stuck on the splash screen again, only this time when I pulled the battery and powered it on, it booted up fine, but my wallpaper had changed (weird).. So I really don't have a clue why this would happen, but I'd appreciate some help, and TIA!

Yes, that's a good idea, but wouldn't you think it would be an app that's causing it since it happened on two very different roms? Or am I way off in my thinking?

Titanium backup problem.

I have titanium backup and it worked fine but suddenly as of a couple of days ago whenever I backup everything, then wipe my data and flash a new rom, I go to restore my settings and it says that there is noting to restore. I was wondering if there was a way to fix this or if there is a better way to backup. Thanks in advance.

Did you happen to flash a rom that wipes? There's one in here that does. I believe it's Rally stock.
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
The roms that I flashed so far that have done this are I believe cm 10.1 and synergy. Those are also the last 2 roms I flashed. And the first 2 it did this to.

Weird stucks on 4.1.2

Ever since I uploaded from 4.0.3 ICS my phone has been getting "stuck"... The screen gets crazy if I touch it, the other buttons won't respond. The only way I seem to fix it for like 2 minutes is by locking it and unlocking it... When I bough it, it came with 4.0.3... Since then I moved from ROM to ROM...
4.0.3=>4.1.2
4.1.2=>4.2 Cyanogenmod
4.2=>4.1.2
4.1.2=>4.0.4
4.0.4=>4.3.1 BeanStalk
4.3.1 BeanStalk=>4.3 PAC
4.3 PAC=>4.3.1 BeanStalk
4.3.1 BeanStalk=>4.1.2
I left cyanogenmod because I didn't liked the look of my phone and because I wasn't able to play some of my favorite games.
I left BeanStalk because the camera.app kept crashing and forcing reboot.
I left PAC because the keyboard wouldn't show up and I wasn't able to finish the set up.
I left 4.0.4 because some apps were too new for it.
On 4.1.2 I get a lot of times stuck, but in other ROMs (even on Stock 4.0.4) the frequency of stucks were less...
I'm sorry for my awful english. I am from Argentina.
I'm really freaking out because each day my cellphone gets stuck even more!
Flash back to stock and if you still have problems it's probably a hardware problem. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=26056924

I am on stock. I placed 4.1.2 without any name because I was trying to say "stock. Not a custom". But if it worked before perfect on 4.0.3. How is that possible? I mean my phone fell a couple of times but from by bed... I don't think it would harm it a lot since I have a carpet...

Oh sorry I didn't understood before. Maybe it's screwed but the thing is that in BeanStalk it didn't got stuck but I wasn't able to use the camera. Also it didn't got stuck in PAC but the keyboard wouldn't show up and display error messages all the time. I might go back to 4.0.4 since it works better than 4.1.2 (in my case).

Move all your files(pics,movies,music etc) to your computer. Format everything and try Odin again. Make it like the phone was new right out of the box never used. Troubleshoot from there.
