For those who wish to install Mowmo's theme with the custom Dialer and Contacts here's the solution if anyone needs it..
ATTENTION: Users reported that they LOST the 14 Toggle Status bar. Just flash it back in case you lose it.
Does NOT work on LA1/3 ROMs. You will get boot-loops and a lot of FC's.
What you need:
avetny's avetny's January 6 FukLagRom KL8(544MB)
Romow ROM V5/5.1.
Phone.apk
Contacts.apk
SystemUI.apk
Settings.apk (Optional since I had BIG battery drain when using this theme settings. Try and check for any unusual drain)
TAKE the above from either avetny's January 6 FukLagRom(544MB) or Romow 5/5.1. Depends if you are on KL7 OR KL8 althought I believe either works on both KL7/8.
This was tested on KL7 firmware. I haven't tested it on KL8 as I was onCassie's KL7(now I'm on LA3).
STEP 1:
Copy the 4 apk's to your external/internal SD in a easy reachable folder. Just in case.
STEP 2:
With a root explorer(I use Root Explorer):
Go to /System/App directory, set permisions to R/W and copy/paste(BACKUP ALL 4 APKs mentioned above!, preferably to your external SDCard. IMPORTANT in case something gets mixed up or something)
STEP 3:
1: Set permissions to R/W. Then copy all 3 or 4 apk's taken from the above mentioned ROM'sm to /System/App and replace with the current ones when asked. Dont's forget to set permissions to R/W.
2: Reboot into CWM and clear Cache partition and Dalvik cache. NOT FULL WIPE! I don't know if it's necessary but I did anyway.
And now you should be able to have the beautiful Romow's theme with the blue Dialer and contacts etc, on a KL7/8 firmware based ROM.
I will state it once again. This was tested on Cassie's v5(KL7) ROM.
Also don't mind if you get a few FC's while doing the procedure. Just reboot the phone and all will be ok. Clear Cache and Dalvik if FC's continue.
Just follow the steps above and I can assure you this works without problems.
Enjoy your new Theme and Dialer.
EDIT: I will post the 4 APKs if requested.
Hi, I tested this modification on the ROM: Revo CheckROM NoteHD XXKL7 V3, swapped files from rom: Mowmo v5 and everything works perfectly.

With this theme you will loose 14 Status bar toggles on CheckROM Revo NoteHD V3 !
Think it's hotfix for the theme, not the theme itself.
Could you, please, post the screenshot after applying ?
May be I'm doing something wrong, but no changes after applying the file with CWM.
Thanks
Update: 14 toggles remain, only change is ugly battery, which has different background and wrong position.

Hi! It was not working for me on Rocket v.15. On step 2, when I overwrote contacts.apk and phone.apk and rebooted, those apps didn't work.
I solved it editing avetny's hot package including contacts.apk and phone.apk on the system\app of the zip file. Then, flashed it on recovery (after wipe cache & dalvik cache) and it works on reboot.
Greetings!
Need to download the whole ROM of romow to get the phone & contact.AOL?
Here you have the files to the substitution of rom -romow v5 KL7,to convert
Contacts.apk http://hotfile.com/dl/140965047/1068d42/Contacts.apk.html
Phone.apk http://hotfile.com/dl/140965747/e4d1829/Phone.apk.html
anybody can tell me how to change to ICS icon pack as well ?
Excuse me guys I was a bit busy for the last couple days.
I will create 3 flashable .zip in CMW for Romow's blue theme which will be:
1: Blue theme with stock Dialer/Contacts
2: Blue theme with the modified Dialer/Contracts(see screenshots) for KL7
3: Blue theme with the modified Dialer/Contracts(see screenshots) for KL8

Actually, I'm on Cassie's v5(KL7) as stated and I had the stock cassie's theme..
I wanted the blue Romow theme and now I'm happily using Cassie's with Romow's theme.. Just like I want my Note to look like.

This is just for the theme with stock dialer or blue modified one. Choose one of the flashable zip's. Based on your Firmware and with or without the custom Dialer from Mowmo's ROM(Romow).

Hey ShaKki. The permissions are by default R/O(ReadOnly).
You should change them to R/W(Read/Write) and then copy/backup the apk's.
Hey. Would it be possible to make it compatible with the newest LA1 firmware?

Hi friends !
Many of you asked me to include different languages to NEO ROM. As I have been unable to do so, So I've come up with links to different guides/tutorials for MODs that are used in NEO ROM.
By following these guides you will be able to make your own fully functional CUSTOM ROM with various MODs.
I used the same links to build my own ROM (NeO RoM).
STEPS:
(1) Basic features of a CUSTOM ROM includes: deodexed, rooted, zipaligned, init.d scripts support, busybox, custom bootanimation, bootsound, vold.fstab, build.prop tweaks etc.
These features can be implemented in any ROM using dsixda's Android Kitchen.
Follow this to know how to use kitchen for making custom ROMs.
Just grab .tar file for any of stock ROM that you wish to use as base build.
It will give you a CWM flashable zip of your ROM. However there may be some problems with updater-script.
So before flashing the ROM to your device, upload this file here, I'll look for problems & modify for you.
(2) Next modification that you can make to your ROM is theming.
Basic theming includes changing icons, fonts, transitions, transparency, status bar mod, quickpanel icons mod etc
Use UOT kitchen for theming purpose.
see this video on how to use UOT kitchen.
(3) For advanced MODs, you must know how to compile, decompile APKs, comparing apks using NOTEPAD++ & winmerge tool
Follow these guides to setup android sdk & apktool:
ANDROID SDK
APKTOOL
(4) Lets start adding advanced MODs to our ROM:
a) simplest one CRT OFF ANIMATION CRT OFF
b) LIDROID 14 toggle MOD 14 toggle
c) CRT ON Animation CRT ON
d) SWIPE to remove notifications
e) ICS style settings.apk
I'll add more links to the other MODs later.
Before that you should try to implement the above MODs in your ROM.
Post here your problems, errors etc, I'll provide assistance to you all.
Why depend on DEVs when you can yourself make your OWN ROM?
Believe me, NEO ROM is the result of all these links/tutorials/guides.
So, start making your OWN first custom ROM !!! :good:
Woah !
Thank you very much man.

First of all, thank you very much for your work and effort, and for this wonderful initiative. I've been reading here and there to try to make my own rom and this is just the push that I needed.
So far I managed to get the dsixda kitchen running. I downloaded the I9103ZSLE6 original rom, unziped it and uncompressed all the stuff through the kitchen, so I have a working directory "WORKING_062812_032259" with everything on it. I also selected the option Add root permissions and I suppose everything went OK.
Now I'm trying to customize it with the UOT. I watched the video, but the problem that I found is that inside the framework folder I just have the framework-res.apk but not the SystemUI.apk, among a lot of jar and odex files.
Should I deodex the rom with the dsixda kitchen to get the System-UI.apk?
Another question I have: should I change de CSC version? I remember reading somewhere that if you take a rom from another country or zone it is necessary to do so.
Thank you very much in advance.

For advanced MODs, deodexed apks/jars are required.
So, I recommend you to first deodex /system/app & /system/framework
folder using kitchen.
Though UOT kitchen can work with STOCK ODEXED files, but you should first deodex your ROM
also SystemUI.apk file lies in /system/app folder
not in /system/framework
You need to upload three files:
SystemUI.apk, framework-res.apk, twframework-res.apk
Added this to my Guide's List..
Hope you dont mind

Ok, I just deodex the rom:
Could not deodex the following (you can try to deodex these files again):
GoogleQuickSearchBox.odex Maps.odex Phonesky.odex PlusOne.odex VoiceSearch.odex

some files cant be deodexed using dsixda's kitchen.
delete those files & extract the updated files from a working ROM (data/app/folder)
Thank you very much for your time. I downloaded NeoRom V2.1 and in this rom this 5 programs are removed and not replaced with the corresponding apks... so It's ok to just remove them or I'm missing something?

phonesky.apk is play store.
So you must grab this apk from neo rom system /app folder
all others can be removed. they are not necessary.
EDIT: com.google.vending.apk is the file for play store

Thank you very much.
Ok, so now I have the rom rooted and deodexed, and I added the apk of the market.
I flashed the stock zsle6 rom with odin.
To flash the deodexed one, so I can try the theming I created with the UOT Kitchen, what should I do?
I suposse the steps are as follows:
1.-Select "Build ROM from working folder" at dsixda kitchen.
2.-Flash CWM with ODIN.
3.-Flash the rom created with dsixda kitchen (Odin or CWM??).
4.-Flash the zip from UOT Kitchen.
Is that correct?

use neo roms updater script and update binary files
since the file you uploaded is update script not updater one.
dsixda doesnt fully support SGR
. it requires some changes to updater script.

Sorry, I think I made a mistake.
dsixda gives me the option of replace the update-script with unpdater-script and undate binary. I just rebuilt it, and say yes to that this time. I attach the files.

Replacing/Deleting system apps manually
Just trying to use this reserved post for something. If someone has a better idea, then please let me know and I will add that to this post.
Info on replacing system apps manually using root explorer or for those who prefer to apply mods manually instead of cwmr-
(Note- If you think this is too easy, then below info is not for you , it is for the users who are still looking for it)
First of all, before replacing any system app, you should make a backup of the .apk and it’s .odex file.
[I have saved all of the .apks and .odex files from /system/app on day one of rooting, no matter how many of them I will/can replace but just in case.]
Path for apps
Non system Apps installed from Google play/SD should be in /data/app- these all can be removed.
System apps should be in /system/apps
Apps safe to replace from system/app- It should be same as the apps which are safe to remove,
in addition you can replace following system apps for theming purpose, you may get some FCs but it will not soft brick the phone.
Systemui.apk
Contacts.apk
LogsProvider.apk
Phonesky.apk (Google play)
Mms.apk
Stock launcher (name may be different) make sure to install another launcher before doing it.
Will add more…….
Replacing apps using root explorer
(let’s pick contacts.apk as example)-
Download and put the modified contacts.apk on SD, if it is inside .zip then extract it to .apk
Open root explorer and navigate to the downloaded contacts.apk, copy it and paste to /system/app folder
(/system/app folder should be mounted as R/W for replacing apps)
Replace if prompts, delete contacts.odex if you are on odex rom
Change permissions for file properly (long press and select permissions) and restart, you will be done.
If you are not sure about permissions then check below screenshot-

Could you theme the status bar to look like this? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1946357 it will take weeks or months till your mod looks like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwOwFoEgyGE (and yes that's gingerbread. Those devs have gone mad with theming that they made gingerbread look exactly like jelly bean)
Works on KQI?

Yes I can theme it like that
But this is a simple mod so no need to deodex but if I want to make it exactly as JB we will need to deodex rom!
And I m not an advanced dev and this is my first mod but I will make more advanced mods in near future !
its nice you did it

Are you sure you want jellybean lockscreen? Because your signature say ICS. I have just finished making the AOSP lockscreen mod for Xperia Dual ICS. I could make a thread and share it if you want it.
By the way, are you working on an stock ICS-based AOSP-themed rom? I'm also working on one. I have almost finished, it would be great if you could help me out!
If you really want jellybean aosp lockscreen, I could still help you out.

Finished modding. Credits: @yayakuya for single sim mod.
yayakuya's thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2323965
However, the framework-res.apk of the AOSP lockscreen mod from that thread is compressed during compilation which *may* cause problems for some people. Besides, it would be risky to flash on E Dual when the mod is for E Single. I simply modify the layout .xmls to match the modifications in the E single mod and recompile it with less compression. Link to download the framework-res.apk is in the attatchment. Push it to /system/framework/, set permission to rw-r--r--. Worked flawlessly on the Noz rom (Stock based Jellybean rom)
For those of you working on roms: Using the framework-res.apk I uploaded will undo all modifications you made to YOUR framework-res.apk, since this is not a themed framework-res.apk. The file is untouched, only modification is AOSP lockscreen. To keep your modded framework-res.apk and still get the AOSP lockscreen, follow these instructions:
Download the Layouts-xml.zip in the attatchments
Extract it
Open the framework-res.apk of your rom (on your computer) using 7zip or WinRAR
Navigate to /res/layout/
Take the xmls from the Layouts-xml.zip, drag and drop them into the opening "framework-res.apk /res/layout/" window
Click "Yes" if anything popup about updating archive
Enjoy

Thank! Works Fine!
