[Q] OTA 4.1.1 on GT P3113? - Galaxy Tab 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is this officially out yet from Samsung or just the leaked P3100? If it is, how can I get back to stock to get the update?

Anyone?

Yes p3113 have also got some leaked jelly bean ota.
And to revert to stock you can download stock firmware from samfirmware or Samsung-updates and flash it and then update your device.

Don't bother to follow. It wont boot, black screen. Afterwards, you will need to flash back the stock FW to make it work again.

Do I need to root device for official firmware?

Hello,
I want to update my Galaxy Tab 2 GT P-5100 to Jelly Bean, but since my carrier locked it at 4.0.4 and removed the dialer, I want to flash new firmware from other country, but I need your expert help:
Can I flash firmware from country which is not mine?
Do I need to root my galaxy tab if I am going to flash official firmware? (I am going to download it from SamMobile)
Thanks

[Q] software update

Hi,
I have recently installed the test 4.3 jelly bean firmwire posted in Sam-mobile in my s4 i9505. Now the official firmwire has released.
1. Did I get the official update via ota or kies?
2. If not the how do I get the official update?
When I installed the test firmwire all my data has lost. So now if I use the official update of 4.3 will my data be lost again??

if you want to get back to 4.1.2 go here http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/1/ download whatever country you live in, and right below the download page should be a guide on how to use the file. its pretty much like when you first rooted it.
