It does not look like it is unless your running ICS or JB.

They built the app with a higher SDK so doubt they would ever optimize it for play controls as the market would be so small. Also the final release has been released https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.madfingergames.deadzone

This is a shame was really looking forward to this :'(

The analog is still too hard to play with(after trying it on psxperia).
I think it would be great if fpse got mutilplayer support somehow.

the game was meant to be an *exclusive* so now its released else were i doubt it will be released.
I think it will be released as a android game which wud be "xperia play optimized" . And just because its on Onlive doesnt meant it wudnt be anywhere else. Besides Onlive's is just streaming not actual game running on ur hardware and you can only play on it with a high speed connection.

It can never be an Android exclusive since its available on Xbox 360, PS3, PC and iOS... All OnLive does is bring PC games to all platforms via streaming if I remember correctly. So being on OnLive should not interfere with any android development since that is technically just a PC game.
You may be right and we will never see it on Android ever, but the fact it's on OnLive doesn't mean we will never see it.

It's a 3 month exclusive to LG, so not long now, and it's not optimised as it stands, it still runs like **** on the phones it's supposed to work on.
It will also benefit with buttons to play with, not crappy touch screen gaming, so roll on the Play version.

Tried this game and dont think much of the android version buggy and too big sd file.
I would rather play the onlive version which is millon times better and has online vs instead of just bluetooth.
Or if have no internet accses would rather use tiger mame and run streetfighter alpha3 or streetfighter the third.

Why would they give a touch pad phone exclusivity for so long... You need control pads to play street fighter... There is no way anyone can enjoy it on touchpad.

Modern Combat 3 update seems to improve controls!

MC3 had an update yesterday.
The good:
The PLAY controls seem to work better, especially aiming, is WAY better.
The bad:
It crashed and rebooted my phone twice while loading a mission.
I updated and it told me to install an additional 761 MB ?!
The game already takes 1 GB !

Yes I had to download that as well. It doesn't necessarily mean its additional, more than likely the download is to update the 1gb of files you already downloaded, so the updated ones are overwritten.

I agree, Asphalt using the D-Pad is great. Touchpads on that game are a little weird to use though, but who would on a Racing game?
With regards to the MC3 update, this has made my game lag more, when the games not lagging the right thumb pad is a bit more responsive. I had previously got away with using the screen to move and the right thumb pad to aim (less control lag when only one digit on the touchpad, that way...) however the update removes the on-screen controls when you have the PS controls open, so this is no longer a possibility.
Gameloft, sort this out! Not that you would in the slightest be looking at an Xda forum for feedback

And i even got asphalt 6 for free.
But if update does remove on-screen controls... Im not gonna update, i would have wanted to try MP just out of curiosity but doubtfully i will ever get a chance.

Did Real Racing 2 become Xperia PLAY Optimized while we weren't paying attention?

So we've always known that it showed up in the Xperia PLAY Game Launcher... but it was always an unanswered "why?" because the game certainly wasn't Xperia PLAY Optimized for any firmware.
Just got a tip from a user on my site that it is, and should be added to my database. As always, I like to test myself before adding anything, but I've tried to install it three times to get to a situation where it FC's every time I get past the intro video.
Can anyone confirm if RR2's updates made it work with Xperia PLAY controls?
