ive seen the CM9 ROMs for the Boxchip/allwinner A13 tablets, does this tablet fit that description?
also i was wondering are there any 4.1/4.2 Jelly bean roms, because that is what i am really looking for.
thanks.

Idk but you can try searching through slatedroid.com

Thanks. Forgot to ask about rooting but I think that'll be fairly straight foward.

Nice tablet there, but I think you are stuck. There are thousands of clones similar to yours. It would be like looking for a needle on the internet. Was there any cds that came with the device? Maybe the firmware is on there.
nice one you got. i wish someday google will announce a 7" nexus with 3g and wifi. will be amazing to use.

A700 Crazy idea?

Hi all this is going to be abit of an odd question but the other day i was window shopping and found the A700 really liked what i saw but then i started to think.
I know that can flash backtrack on to my Galaxy S phone but....(heres the Question)
Can i flash backtrack5 on to a, A700?
If so how?
If not would any Android Tab be able to, if so which one?
Also would any if not the A700 run a Windows OS ?
like the title say's Crazy!! But if any one has any info it would be very greatful.
There's a complete Linux installer on the market, and here on xda(complete Linux installer). It has ubuntu, backtrack plus more. I can verify it works.

Thanks buddy! I have also been looking into both the Galaxy Tab 2 7"/10.1"
any thoughts from any one are still welcome and helpfull.
A 7inch is more portable if you're concerned about that or if you travel a lot. 10.1 gives you all the screen you can handle plus a little extra.
It's really about personal preference.
I was fully into that nexus 7 thing. I was definitely like: I have to buy one!
But then I've got my hands on another 7" tablet in a store and was like: What the heck is this? 7" is sooo small.....
So now I've got the A700 and I'm glad that I've got it
Well i gave up on teh 7" it is abit small so instead i ordered myself the A700 and should be getting here Tuesday (cant wait).
So now come's step 2 of my crazy idea i now have 10.1 32GB Android tab on the way now then .......?
Time to work out how to get backtrack5 running on it and also see if i can get windows 7 maybe ......?
So any ideas or what not maybe a link that might help would be AWESOME!!!
Thanks again :fingers-crossed:
Whoa whoa whoa. Wait. Hold on a sec. Backtrack? THE Backtrack? As in the security tool suite? On the A700?!
I MUST HAVE THIS. I was just about to give using my A700 but if I can use it for my work, I am so there!
Great, there goes my free time for the next week...

[Q]ATTN DEVS Best Device to Port ROM from?

Hello
I am going to try my hand at porting. I have the 3113 Galaxy Tab 2 7.0), and am wondering if someone can point me to the best/easiest device to port ROMs from. Ie., Similar specs (screen size, processor, dpi, etc., etc.) I considered using the tab 2 10.1 to port from, but I wasn't sure if the screen size would force me to re-size all the png's and/or whatnot, but I know the hardware is almost identical. I just want to extend my abilities to dev android, and figured this might be a fun way to understand and learn android on a different level. I've found and read many threads on porting and am pretty excited to dive in! Any info is greatly appreciated, especially in regards as to which device to port from and why. Thanks guys/gals!
Anyone?

allwinner a13 9 inch Tablet

Hi all!
My GF has a little allwinner a13 9 inch Tablet, its not the fastest thing on the planet, but its not too bad for her surfing the internet one.
But is IS a tad slow when doing it.
Is there any custom roms out for this?
Like a JB rom?
Im not 100% sure, but is this compatible? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1861445 or is there better out there?
Also, since I have never done anything on these NA tablets before, how would I actually go about putting a custom rom on it?
Any help would be appreciated!
Cheers
Keith

Help to identify a tablet please?

Hi,
I have this tablet that belongs to my dad. I have noticed that apps aren't longer compatible with it so I would like to upgrade it for him to 4.4.2 ( latest so at time of posting).
This is a £50 amazon droid so is nothing special but for the life of me I can't find what it is so I can find a rom for it! If anyone can help out it would be appreciated..
Sorry photos are upside down!

Isn't that processor an Allwinner A20?
There are some threads on xda-developers forum about rooting them.
There are also some threads on google about 4.2.2 for when searching for "wing k70 eng", however I do not think anyone has made a KitKat ROM for this processor yet.
Thanks captain, that kind of ruins it then! Can't seem to install what's app on it and that's the only reason they wanted it! Oh well lesson learnt
