You ever have any luck with this? auto-start wifi-tether would be bad ass :good:
I would think you would be able to do it with tasker or some equivalent. I believe it was tasker that would allow you to dig into the specific functions of an app. IIRC.
Try something like this.

Is there any way on a rooted Charge to remove the legal pop-ups that must be agreed to every time you activate GPS location services? I toggle those services quite often and the pop-ups are soooo annoying. Thanks in advance!

The stock ROM prompted me to check it out. It comes with samples that can be customized or you can create your own. I used it to setup automatic Wi-Fi enable and connect when I was near known networks. Now that I'm running Synergy I can't find the app or remember where to find this feature. Apologies in advance for the noobish question. I actually searched the forum a bit before positing. TIA

Automateit Pro, Tasker?
Thanks for the replies all. It was an app that came pre-loaded on the stock ROM. Since I'm not stock any more I can't remember what it's called. Anyone here still stock?
Hi all, sometime last night I seemed to have tripped the options for my incoming message notification settings. Before it would just play the ringtone and display on the notifications tab like I wanted it.
Now for some reason it will do that AND the phone itself will say "New message from (person on contact list)" does anyone out there know what I'm talking about? I dont want to be in a group of people and have my phone spill out my info like that.
Does anyone know how to disable this ?
I'm thinking it's one of the following:
1) Make sure that Driving Mode isn't enabled if you're on the stock rom.
2) Navigate to Settings/Accessibility/Services then turn off "Talk Back"

It's almost definitely driving mode. Mine was doing the exact same thing for a few days and I found the option yesterday in Settings > Language and input > Text-to-speech output. I must have tripped it when I was playing around with NFC tags.

This is awesome. Thanks so much. I love that the QUIT button is back on the main menu too instead of having to back out of stupid pandora and then quitting.
One question --- my HTC One shows 2 notification icons -- one for "app info" and one for the actual song playing... anyone to get rid of the app info one? If i disable notifications from the app info screen, of course it disables both...

That may depend -- does that have it's own app, or is that app a "system" app on the phone?
I'd just try it, and see what happens. If it doesn't work out, go back to the way it was before.
-Uninstall your pandora app. If you can't, this may not work
-install this version
-use it, and see how it goes...
You can't have this and the "real" pandora installed at the same time. But i seriously doubt you could hurt anything to try. Just keep an eye on data use before and after.
What version of Pandora is this thanks

It's version 1.7 of this app. It doesn't correlate to the default/real pandora app version because it's a completely different app, as far as i know....
Ok thanks
Don't usually register or comments on forums unless it's a dire emergency or some kind of stuff but got to say awesome job on the app. Thanks
Is this app being kept up to date at all?
I searched through the forums and this looks like all. Otherwise there are other moded apks outside of xda..

I do not believe this app is up to date. I also believe this app now violated XDA's ToC and is considered "warez"
Pandora has since put a stop to the majority of things developers were once able to do to the app in order to get these things done. Server sided.
I have a subscriptiion to Pandora One, and I must say for the $4.99 it is amazing... I get a large number of skips and higher quality audio you can tell the difference, playing through the aux cord, headphones, or bluetooth audio.
Sorry to tell you won't find anything like this on XDA. If you are that hard pressed for an app like this look for another source. It was not my work to begin with.
Is there any combinations of apps that will let me achieve my goal of having a cycling mate on my headset at the same time as music?

I think that is hard coded in the OS that if a call comes in it stops any other app until you take or decline the incoming call. As far as I can tell NO such apps. You could ask some of the Devs if that is possible to achieve, but I haven't even heard of anyone else mentioning such a thing in my 2 years with android.
It would be nice to even have app that does a internet call like tango and talk does, without video, but with the ability to mix sound sources

I dont remember any app that I have seen that did that. The permissions for most music apps ask for phone state for the ability to check if you are on a phone call or not.
