Lol I hate having a phone in my pocket and I don't carry a purse. The last thing I want to do is dig in my pocket every time I get a text or call. It keeps it on me and secured without worrying about my keys, change, or sand scratching it up.

Exactly!!! Honestly tho if u want a hip holster then just get something for the sgs3
If people want I can get a horizontal clip and swivel holster but your looking at $40 shipped possibly less. Depending if its on sale or not

Maybe if you stretch the holster a bit. The s3 had some movement while in it. The n4 is a bit smaller. So it may. Idk for sure. My gnex with a bumper is snug fit

Im using one that I had stretched with my diztronic tpu. It's a tight fit and JUST fits the bumper and phone. But yours looks nice too! I am now curious if the phone with bumper fit this...where can I get one to try?

Thanks for the Pic! I have the horizontal holster of the same oen you have and it snugs in quite nicely too with a bumper

A little pricey, but I don't think there's anything that fits a naked Nexus 4 as good as this.

I dont think so but I hope I am wrong. I was going to order the same case from amazon but made for a note 2. But, stopped because I discovered my existing case that held the diztronic tpu now fit with the bumper.

I have this case and it fits very well with the bumper on. A little snug initally but loosened up after a while.

Just giving you guys the heads up, I found the Ballistic SG case on Amazon for $19.76 shipped which is more or less $15 off the retail price. It's even cheaper than it is on ebay. For those that don't know, it's a two piece sorta like the Otterbox Commuter but is a lot more protective and I think it looks a lot slicker. I had the SG for my Epic 4G Touch and my iPhone 4S and I loved it. It really is a great deal so I would jump on it, according to Amazon there were only 4 left and I snagged one of them.

Fairly certain. One of the reviewers says it is, and the model number matches the ones on ebay that specifically state they are. Also, Ballistic doesn't have one for the international version on their website, only the AT&T/LTE one. Good enough for me.

I think it's ugly as sin, and it is a major pain to put on and take off. I am going to be returning it as soon as my Ballistic comes in.
Just got mine in! I like it so far, it's much easier to put on than the Otterbox Commuter and I think it looks cooler. I will post a short review after I've used it for a few days.
Yep just got mine on too and man is it nice and snug I also have full skin guard on phone so I was afraid it wouldn't fit right but sure enough fits perfect and feels great I and it looks awesome with white accent of my white phone I'll post pics tomorrow when I'm around another camera!

please do, I just ordered and I've never even seen one of these things before, lol.
So some of em aren't great pics but u get the ldea..the buttons r super easy to press and it feels like it will never come off lol i really like it myself, I think it is a much better fit than ylthe trident aegis I had for my inspire very snug fit and I love the white accents

I have a question, which pretty much is a deal breaker for me.
The rubber that is around the edges and on the corners; how bad does it grip when sliding in and out of a jean pocket? This case make it look almost impossible to slide it in an out of my front pockets. Thanks.

I personally don't have an issue getting mine in and out of my pocket, but I typically wear relaxed/loose fit jeans or casual pants. It might be a different story if you're the type who wear skinny jeans.
I gotta say that the rubber itself might pick up a little white fuzz from Ur pocket but I do have kinda thick legs so even.loose fit is a ill tight and I don't have any problem in and out of pocket the rubber seems like it is pretty "smooth" feeling lol

Not sure of anyone else brought it up yet but the seidio website now has a picture of the surface case up instead of just a graphic that says "under development". The active case still says " under development" with no picture.
You still can't order the surface case but at least the photo is up. Looks petty good.

It's indeed not pretty. But I'm waiting for the Active case without a ks or maybe just the holster.
I don't really need a kickstand though. But I remember my Sensation Active case had the plastic ks. Not sure why they went with metal. Kinda detracts from the phone IMO. I may just need to look at it closer or when the final renders come out lol.

The active cases seem similar to OtterBox commuter cases so I'll probably pick one up. The kickstand might even come in handy

I have the Seidio active on my old Galaxy S 2 X (T989) and my wife uses one on her Galaxy S 3. The case is fantastic, feels great in the hand and provides premium protection.
I really hope the active case becomes available for the Nexus 4

Same here, I don't want a kickstand. I also wish they did a cover for them so we can put them in our handbags. The holster is just to bulky & I'd never use it as a holster.

How good are the seido cases compared to other cases? The price is two or three times more than other cases. So far I have only using a xtreme guard protector as I am holding out for spending my money on a really good case.

I'll say this' there is no other case I would trust my phone to in the long run. In my experience (and I've owned a LOT of cases) the seidio cases, and in particular the Active case, is the most protective, high quality case available for a cell phone. Cannot wait to order my Active case/holster combo.
Do the cases get in the way of using the phone?

Nope. I have used Active cases for my Sensation, Kindle Fire and now my Nexus 7. Just waiting to jump to get an Active case/holster combo when they have it available. I wish they made one without a kickstand to trim it down a notch.
These are normally my travel cases for my phones. However the Active case for my Nexus 7 is a daily case for me because I have a 4 yr old .

I'm at work so I'll give a quick and dirty on the XDA Dev tpu case from Cruzerlite.
First off, the pics on the site looks like the circuitry was supposed to be goldish, but in reality is more on the maroon side. Not bad, just not like the site IMO.
The openings line up perfectly. The only negative is that there is a slight bubble on the top of the case. Not horrible but it's there. I contacted Joel at AndroidSwag and was told that all cruzerlite case are made by hand and will all have some sort of blemish. And he was giving me a refund for contacting him. Even though I told him not to lol.

No you are correct. More copper than gold. But what I got was more maroon Still looks great, offers more protection than my diztronic ultra hard shell or my poetic palette.
As long as it 1. wirelessly charges with the tpu on and 2. doesn't rise the screen protector and 3. Fits in my Seidio Surface holster made for a Gnex, then I am sold!
My surface seidio HOLSTER made for a N4 is coming this week so It should fit better than now
Just got mine a few hours ago. From the photos, I was expecting a glossy case with a bit more grip. Turns out it is a matte finish almost identical to the Ditztronic matte black tpu case.
The graphics are a lot more subtle than the photos lead you to believe.
With that said, the fit is better than the Ditztronic, and I prefer the cutouts over the buttons instead of Ditztronic's overlays. It's a good case!

Mine was shipped on January 10th and received on Jan 14th preordered it in early Dec so I'm not sure. I do know I made another Cruzerlite order on Jan 8th it was shipped on Jan 11th and received on Jan 14th. You can pay extra for faster shipping i always pick standard first class mail shipping.

Starting off, the case is worth 8 USD and I bought it from ebay. I got it shipped for 4 extra box.

Starting with the case itself, its made from a hard plastic cover, wich as you can see is coloured red, its smooth at touch but it has some sort of texture on it wich you can't really feel but its there. The borders are made from some kind of tpu plastic wich is totally flexible and I have to say it has a very premium feeling on it, and the back itself has the same feeling of being a nice material that looks and feels incredible.

There are cutouts for the camera, speaker and microphones, and there's also a small cutout that follows the earpiece's shape. Off course, you still get access to your headphone jack as well as the micro usb port.
The power button and volume rocker are protected within the case and don't worry they are very VERY easy to press, even easier that without it, unlike some other cases ( that I also own that are such a pain to press ).
Regarding protection wise, I've been using this case for just 2 days and I haven't dropped my device since then but I'm sure its gonna do well. The borders slightly cover the front of the screen and since they are made to absorb the impact if it lands front-faced and the back is a hard plastic wich its gonna protect it if it lands back-sided.
What about the feeling using it? Well, the phone feels very secure when placed into the case, it doesn't add to much bulk to it to be honest, it's clearly not one of the skinniest out there but it isn't that bulky either. It doesn't add to much weight neither. It's very comfortable to hold to say the least.
I have to say that I'm very pleased with my purchase, since it is very cheap for a case that for my taste it's quite handsome and well made.

If you are talking about the pics that I captured then yes, that's exactly the colour wich the case actually is.

I've got 2 more cheap tpu cases ( S-wave black one and another transparent with a matte back ) but they are fairly similar to it size wise, don't think it's gonna help a comparison between them.

I think it's pretty clear in the pictures, isn't it?. As you can see it offers a little bit of distance between the concrete and your screen if it falls on it, so your screen should be safe from hitting the ground.

Hey everyone.
I've had the case for a couple of days now testing it.
I have to day... I love it.
Design:
Stunning. Smooth, solid, heavy and all round perfect. Feels really good in the hands with the rubber and it just feels safe.
Strength:
Stupid. Basically. Chucked in on a very bumpy and stone floor outside a work shop and couple of scratches on the case and that's it. Nothing came off it and sounded like I dropped a brick. Was sanding my mates car and painting it. Left my phone in my pocket and had a few heavy corner hits to it from the car and no damage at all. No paint inside or dust. There was a lot of dust in the shed.
Usability:
If you don't mind the Note 2 size but and thicker then this case will do you fine. No nerves about dropping it into water or anything. Used it in the rain and nothing. (Heavy rain for 10 minutes).
Cons:
In call. People can't hear you very well. The mic is covered by waterproof/resistant sheet which muffles it a lot apparently. If you don't mind talking louder you are fine. My Grandad is 80 and he could hear me.
The WiFi signal is dropped by 2 bars. So I can't use it in my bedroom. But phone signal is not affected.

I got it from eBay for £39.99. I would recommend this case. Not sure what over is like so can't really say if this case is better or not

this isnt the same seller skrappi used, but its where i ordered mine, and its a buit cheaper, but look around, bsellers come on and offline alot with these things, but beware of the knockoffs, there's a knockoff called pepk, the best way i can figure to tell the difference is that the pepk case only comes in two colors

The pepk case looks more solid built. The love mei is more rounded.
Color wise they both have the same.

Yes, but this is a chinese case. As far as I'm aware, there aren't any fakes for this case.
It is suppose to retail for about $30 ish outside China. Charging $60? That's a rort.

Ok. We'll still fall back to the previous argument. "$60? It must be a fake since the love mei website sells for $96" At this point of time, we'll think that whoever charges higher must be legit.

Even while it is advertised as the Love Mei, the screenshots are from the Pepk knockoff which is known to have a plastc screen protector instead of the gorilla glass one. Look closely and you will see Pepk written on the upper right side.

Indeed this is not a love mei case at all. The case Is solid as a brick but the screen is plastic and things fall off. Plus it takes up to 2 weeks to deliver.

question about the case
I should receive mine in a few weeks as I ordered it on Ebay for about $33 shipped. I do agree that the Pepk is a knock off and doesn't offer gorilla glass. Anyways, what concerns me the most is losing certain features like NFC, Sbeam, 1-2 bars of signal strength.
I bought an aluminum case for this about a month ago. Unfortunately I had to return it because I lost one bar consistently. Now this even with the back cover of the S4 removed. You have to remove it to fit into this case. I took it out and I got the bar back. So I knew it was due to the case.
Now with this case, it's even thicker AND you don't remove the back. That means more rubber, metal to go through. That's what worries me most. Waterproof? I don't plan to swim with it or use it while I"m paddling a canoe. But for those times where I'm using the john and I drop it on the toilet (which I've done 3 times to my phones), I want to be able to grab it (yes, I'm going right in) and rinse it off without ruining the phone.
Some have said they plan to put a strip of copper foil underneath the case to extend the signal quality. Not sure if that will work or how they plan to do it.
