I have a TF201 asus transformer prime and when trying to push a different recovery it is now stuck on the asus screen. Will not turn off unless it is dead, other wise it will constantly restart. Will not even read on my computer. I have tried to look and so far people with the same problem have the nvflash installed, which i do not. I'm about to just send it to asus and ask them to fix it. Please Help!

Ok, so I noticed that there isn't a topic for this made, so i'll just ask under the Transformer Q&A.
I don't see a lot of people asking. But basically here's what I got:
My SL101 slider is rooted, well it was at least the last time it worked. I had it rooted, and attempted to install acer recovery from the market. Installed and I had it install cwm. I restarted the tablet, and that's where it goes wrong.
It sticks at the Asus loading screen. I have the ability to boot using volume up + power, and volume down + power, but nothing appears to work.
I wiped the data, do you think it would be just easier to return it to asus and say it doesn't boot after installing the firmware update, it's still within warranty? :\
Another Question.
Ok, so is there anyway to use the latest asus blob to reinstall the entire os? I've heard that if you have the blob from the asus website it can be used to reinstall the entire system. Any thoughts?
Just out of curiosity,,,,,Can you use "Acer" recovery tools on "Asus" tablets?

how to unroot asus eee pad slider sl101
So, Recently a family member of mine told me something was wrong with their transformer. I take a look at it and it's not turning on so i assume it's not charged. I plug in the charger and it does not boot up. The transformer only goes to the eeepad screen with the asus logo and shuts off again. Basically it's in a bootloop but problem is, the tf101 is not rooted or tampered with and on stock fw (Tf101 is a b90 model) Anything i can do to fix??? Couldn't have been any sort of virus either as this transformer was only used for video streaming/ listening to music...

It might need to be reflashed. You could try using the wheelie tool, but the internal storage will be wiped. Sounds like a softbrick.

I had exactly the same problem this week . . . this solved it:

Reflash with NvFlash. Best idea as of now
Hey there,
I have nearly the same problem but my transformer just gets the first screen and then it tries to reboot.
I tried to reflash it with EasyFlasher but it didnt work. Is there a chance that your way will work?
If you can get ADB peri Might work, but just manually do it with NvFlash.
thanks, i'll try that when I hit back home in three days...
It is possible to get it in APX mode, so just put it on and flash?
Do you know why such a big problem occurs? It was on stock firmware and rooted for the last 5 months...
I'm starting to think my issue is related to condensation.
I started leaving the transformer in my bedroom, since my wife gave her tablet to her mother and is now using my transformer to read.
I was happy on HC, stock, non-rooted. My tablet was working with no issues for 3 months, give or take.
But then I started having random reboots and boot loops. Tried almost all roms for the transformer, same issue. Worked fine on the day I installed, got me bootloops the next day.
Today I thought about condensation after getting another round of boot loops and noticing my tablet screen with a bit of humidity. The temperature difference from my bedroom with A/C to my living room with no A/C can get to 15 or 20 celsius.
So I got the bootloop again today and instead of nvflashing the hell out of it as I have been doing, I put it in APX mode (since I have no recovery ATM, so I couldn't power it off) and leave it resting for 3 hours in room temperature. After that I rebooted it and it is now stable again. I will try to confirm those suspicious, but right now it sounds a lot like it for me. It never slept in the bedroom during the 3 months I was in HC.

I'm really not sure, but yes just download a stock nvflashable fw (xdafileserver.nl has some good ones) and put in nvflash mode and run reflash_sbkv#.bat (be sure to import wheelie into the stock fw folder and overwrite)

Regarding condensation, that's odd, but mabye. ..
Thanks, i'll try this when I am at home.
It is in APX mode but the computer doesnt recognise it... it says unknown device...
What shall i do?
That means the drivers are wrong/bad. Did you install any? You need the Universal Naked Drivers. (Search the tf themes and apps forum)
I installed the Asus PC Suite which means that drivers are inclueded, but I am going to search here if you say they are here.
Anyways, I can not find them there...
No, asus drivers is not what you need, you want the universal naked drivers: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1514942&highlight=universal+naked
well, that sounds quite nooby but how to install this drivers... i see several different files but absolutley no exe...
it is so embarrassing...
pnputil -a android_apxdriver.inf (or whatever the inf is called)
then plug in the tf
I opened it but nothing changes... the transformer in apx mode is still an unknown device
Have you tried 'update driver' in device manager, then point to the folder with the apx driver?
sure...
same problem with rebooting
I have exactly same problem...! My TF101 is B70 model and NVFlash not work with this model and higher... How I can fix it? is Megatron 1.1.6 installed on tablet and I have rom on sdcard, but reinstall rom not helped me, also wipe + reinsatll...
any ideas?

Hello
As soon as the warranty period expired I tried flashing the CyanogenMod firmware onto my TF300, so I unlocked my device and tried to follow the guide on the CM website,
(wiki[dot]cyanogenmod[dot]org/w/Install_CM_for_tf300t). I've got to point 5 of the "Installing CyanogenMod from recovery" section of the guide. but then when I selected the "wipe" option things screwed up. Now when turned on my TF300 only displays the "The device is unlocked" message in the top right corner and the ASUS and nVidia logo and does nothing else. No response to power + vol up/down. It won't even turn off, I have to wait for the battery to go flat...
Anyone wishing to reply, please do not waste our time by voicing your opinion (e.g. calling me this or that). All I am asking for is SUGGESTIONS and HELP.
Thank you!!!
On a side note: The only "solution" Asus offered was a motherboard replacement for $300. The service centre guy said this is the only way and that I have to "get back" in their system (database), which means that my device has to be locked for them to consider offering any help. Hence their offer to force me back into their flock, by forcing the motherboard replacement onto me. Something to keep in mind...

Did you do some reading before posting about all of the other bricks? Also, more information please. You can't get into fast boot or recovery? Have you tried using terminal to enter recovery? What boot loader or firmware were you on? Which recovery did you install?

1. recovery: koush's ClockworkMod Recovery
2. Cannot get into recovery/fast boot
3. firmware: latest Asus firmware (as of 2 weeks ago)
4. when I connect the tablet to my PC nothing happens, I guess this kind of stops me from using the terminal to enter recovery...
5. I have read a few other frustrated post, but found no solutions so far
*** I can get into the APX mode by pressing the Volume Up and the reset with a paper clip and I managed to install the Asus Transformer Prime APX Interface Driver!!!
Where to from here???
Thx!
This has happened before, unfortunately.

This one might be helpful, too. Someone got it to boot a while back. Not sure if it's the exact same issue, but it's there, just in case.

I hope you can get it to boot!

Hello,
I ran CM's in-android update utility to update to CM 10.2 last night and it hosed my tablet.
My TF300 gets stuck at the ASUS logo screen. When I power it off it boots right back to the ASUS screen. If I push the VOL UP button twice before it reboots it will stay off.
Can't get it into recovery mode by pressing VOL DOWN and POWER, still gets stuck at ASUS screen.
My computer wont see it; I can't get fastboot to do anything with it, < waiting for device >. This is the same computer that I used fastboot to initially flash clockwork so it is setup correctly. Windows 7 64-bit.
Is it bricked beyond repair? If not how do I proceed?
Thank you
P.S. I'm not sure what other information you may need, and I can't remember some of the specifics. I can't get to that informaiton now due to it not booting.

Sure, but I am afraid I am out of ideas. Rescue requires either fastboot, recovery/adb or a set of nvflash blobs created before.

I'm dying here. So I bought the tablet second hand, I could not get it in Apex mode, so I bought a New sync jack. apex mode is working great, I downloaded the drivers and are working.
I put the tablet in apex mode and ran easyflasher, I checked the box on the left,(SBK 1) and ran the program with no success. I repeated the process and checked the box on the right (SBK 2) it ran the program, with success. and it said somthing like phone success, phone success. I disconnect the sync cable and hold power button I turn off the tablet and turn it back on.
When it boots It boots the EEE Pad with Asus logo on the bottom, and get stuck. when I long press the power button It turns off and then automatically restarts and boots EEE pad with Asus logo and get stuck again.
I tried to wipe data and restart easy flasher. did not work
I tried to recovery and factory reset, and load the android system from power button and down. did not work.
I drained the battery and full recharge and again process did not work.
I got on Asus web site and downloaded the us version of US.epaduser9.2.1.27 that did not work, Fyi I am not unzipping them.
I am looking everywhere for the NVFlash Stock 3.1 Recovery Roms, the link is dead, Thats one thing I have not tried.
ps the little sticker with the serial number on the bottom of the tablet has worn off. all I know is that it is a tf101. I know that if its a tf101g or slider the easy flasher will not work.
Im using windows 7 32bit
I tried a one button push win program i saw on youtube, and that does not work.
I would love to see this tablet up and running, Please help XDA community.
Thanks so much
Scotty
Hi,
I can't find a simple solution for you on XDA, but I found a help thread for your device...
The Ask-Doom thread! (Need help? New? Ask here!) -Give help too!-
You can ask for help there. I would somehow determine exactly what your device is though, cause flashing anything not made specifically for it could destroy it.
Good luck!
Thanks for looking.
I tried the link but it was dead. I'm really hoping that someone has the NV 3.1 3.2 stock roms
The link is to a thread, working fine here. Not sure why it isn't for you?

You need to try another browser or app depending what you are using to go to the link. I will post it again...
