Follow the steps in that link I gave you, method is confirmed to be working

Converted HiAPN to system app in Titanium. Clicked AutoSet APN in HiAPN and worked right away. The issue is I am looking to sell the phone. Need to do a reset which deletes the APN info. Anyway we can do this without the app, meaning natively or at least have the ability to keep the info in APN and only remove my google account and apps (which I paid for etc.)?

Don't think that is possible, since once you reset it clears all that stuff and resets to defaults. I take it you're trying to sell where ever you are at now, and since the phone is built specifically for Verizon, it will revert back to those settings if its reset.

Yup, thats exactly what I'm trying to do. I did reset to factory and HiAPN is working (converted to system app via Titanium) and did an AutoAPN update and it worked.
Thoughts on installing a different ROM instead, i.e. AT&T?

No don't do that, never ever install a ROM that's made for a different variant, you can be left with a nice brick lol

Other custom ROM's out there for Verizon S3's that would make the APN natively editable and get rid of all that bloatware?

I don't know of any personally that can do that, the only way I know of is the forum I directed you too, it may be possible if you do some more digging in that one, someone may have asked that question.

[Q] Stock image for SCH-i925 Verizon Model

I am trying to get back to complete stock, anyone know how I can get a Odin image? Thanks
I'm 99.9 percent sure the only published firmware for your hardware is actually the GT-N8020. I to have the sch-i925. This is the verizonized GT-N8020 sold everywhere else in the world but the US. Bad news is we are stuck until Adam Outler and team unlocks our bootloader.
Once this is acomplished and a proper recovery installed we will have the options you seek.
Good news is Adam received his I925 just a few days ago and is activly working with a team to resolve the issue.

I have a an unopened SCH-I925 if your just looking for original files that you maty have edited such as build prop or apns etc. Otherwise you should just reset device. Only files you have modified with root in the system are not restored with factory reset.

UPDATE: Soft unbrick Verizon I925
Guys here is a small update on my case.
Good News: The soft bricked I925 is once again working with certain limitations. I had mariosraptor (post credits to him) install a clean non verizon N8020 version on it.
Bad News: Despite the fact that sim card gets recognized, it does not gets activated. Another possible problem "haven't yet figured out" is GPS.
Things to clear out...
I really don't know if I had the bootloader changed while trying to recover it at the beginning. In Odin's download mode, the model refers as GT-N8010 and not as SCH-I925. Members can validate thought...

Odin Stock Image?
Were you able to use the TWRP as an odin image or convert it to one? I haven't figured out how to use this since I don't have TWRP on my tablet. Thanks!
I purchased an I925 on Swappa, and before giving it to my wife I want to revert it back to stock.
Did we ever get a stock image posted somewhere/ I didn't want to PM drozek and beg for one if it has been posted elsewhere first.

I haven't been able to find a stock image anywhere else. The one drozek has is a TWRP version, and I haven't been able to get it to work because I don't have TWRP loaded on my Note 10.1 =(
I read there's a way to convert TWRP images into odin flashable images, but haven't figured out how if it is indeed possible.

I would help to be a tester as well! And I'm not sure how much this information helps, but a dev, Adam Outlier helped make CASUAL, which was the one click root for this device. After the OTA update, it no longer works due to a libusb -12 error or something. I tried doing as much research as I could and all I could come up with (not sure how accurate it is) is that the error is due to the computer not being able to gain access to the tablet to use heimdall. We've posted debug files on his page, but he hasn't responded not posted on that page in a while. Thanks so much for your help! :fingers-crossed:

[APP] LG SmartWorld App & Download

I went ahead and took the liberty of registering and jumping through the hoops (which took much longer than it should have really) to get the Lg SmartWorld App. Its got some exclusive LG apps and themes. So for any of you who were curious, here it is ( you can make an account in the app in order to download things, this is faster than their web server which seems to be plugged in a 256k dialup modem ;P)
To Install: Just Put it on your internal storage and then use a file browser to click it and just hit install. no need to move it around manually with root explorer.

Thats really odd. You dont suppose that they have the app locked to a users ID do you? Or maybe the service is down? If the former is true Ill have to tweak the OP. Keep trying and let me know.
EDIT: Try registering on the site and then logging into the app also
Got it to work, thanks.

"Sevice will be available for your phone model soon. Please check LGWorld.com"
Heh. Went to LGWorld.com. chose ATT and they don't even show the D800. Just the D801 and a couple D802
i cant find any themes just over priced apps?
Logged into my LG account on lgworld.com just fine. Still saying service is unavailable in the app though. I tied clearing data in the app as well as deleting and re-installing. I'm on VZW version of that means anything. I'm also running CLEANROM on my phone.

Check it now, it works.
I just wanted to bump this to let everyone know that it's good now.
Unless there has been more developments, I am hoping to get some nice themes from LG World.
But of course, once I download the themes, Apply button is grayed out.. So the whole thing goes to waste.. I guess we cannot apply themes on D800..
package still works, but... as soon as you open it, you need to update it. After the update, the only country selection available (for me anyway) was Mexico. So it works, but the whole app is in Spanish. I managed to go to the LG website and create an account. Use the LG Portal, which is where you can register any of your LG products, not the smartworld page. I registered there, then went to the app, where you have to verify your email address. I do not know a word of Spanish and managed to work my way thru it. Was able to verify, then the app opened (still in Spanish) and I was able to download and install themes on my ATT D950 (Flex) with no problems. I did it this way because the LG website says my Flex isn't supported yet, and wouldn't download the app legitimately. Dont know if it was worth the hassle, but I did it

You can apply themes, AT&T turned it off, enable it in LGHome hidden settings.
Most of the themes on appworld are kiddy/girly themes though.
If you go to Korean version of the site you can get the theme creator, to make your own themes, an English translation patch for it is on XDA.
Thank you soooo much!!!!!

[Q] How KitKat looks...

Hello!
Maybe this question was asked a million times before, but I'm too tired to search for it, so I'll ask it again. Those that are annoyed by it, ignore it!
I installed CyanogenMod 11 (4.4.3 KitKat) on my Samsung Galaxy S Advance a couple days ago, but... It looks very ugly! Works very smooth though...
How can I change the application "phone" and "messages"? The ones in 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, looked much more beautiful to me than these ones.
Please tell me where to get them and how to change them. And if I change them, will the phone's performance be affected by them in any way?
I'd appreciate very much for all the help.
Thank you in "Advance"!
Really? Everyone is saying "post in the Q&A thread, post in the Q&A thread"...

you are likely being ignored as you suggested.
you could get the stock apps out of a jb rom and switch them with the kk ones. but i cant say for sure it will work because they may not be compatible.
alternatively, you could get apps from the market to use in place of the kk ones.
i prefer dw contacts and phone dialer for the phone, but dont replace the messaging app, so your on your own on that one.

i never said it was difficult, but its going to require a little effort to go get the old app you want, then replace the one you have with it.
if you could get someone on jb to pull and post the apps for you that would cut down on 1/2 the work. but there is still no guarantee it will work anyways.

btw, thre is no other easy way. you replace the app or get one from the market, those are your only options, other than going back to a jb rom completely.

You need to change the permission of the entire folder first to r/w.
If you use root explorer its easy. There is a little box at the top of the folder to tick and change from r/o to r/w.

I managed to give it root permissions, copied the files into the system\app folder, rebooted...they don't work.
I needed to replace the CertInstaller.apk for them to work, but doing so, I would lose the current apps. Didn't let me change that file though. And I don't know how to compile/merge the new one and the old one into a single file.
So, I'm pretty much stuck with what I have, being an average android user...
Thanks anyway!

You can probably find someone who has made a port of it on google, no promises though. Also imo the kitkat dialer is a lot more functional...

I have the same problem...
Work requires a stock rom, and gave me a verizon m8 - but I need t-mobile.
Plugged in a t-mobile card - everything works but it displays an annoying foreign sim icon... just wondering if anyone has figured out how to hide that thing?
Thanks!

make a flashable.zip to flash in custom recovery.
use my template here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2745680
either that or pull your ACC/default.xml, let me know your SKU_ID and I'll make the .zip for you.
or if you are on stock ROM I can just pull the default.xml from there, and I think your SKU_ID would be 33?

I'm not entirely sure which one to use, I am located in the Cayman Islands, Caribbean, so I was just going to use 0 (HTC Generic). Will that work?

So the two 0's seemed to work fine, I didn't use a flashable zip in the end I found another way around. I copied the file to my desktop, edited it, renamed the original and then pasted in my new file worked fine.
So glad to be rid of the unknown sim popup and icon.

And it's gone. :victory:
I tried the trick on the provided link, change the region and the sku_id. However after doing this I've noticed that the bubble counter on the stock messaging app for the new messages was not showing. Additionally, the tabs inside the messaging app such as "All messages", "SMS/MMS", "Voice Mail" are messed up. Have you encounter this issue after changing the region and sku_id of your HTC M8?

No access points??

I have a unlocked and rooted note 5. With moar rom. I'm unable to put in apn's. No access point names. Only thing showing under mobile networks is network mode then lte/cdma and cdma. And data roaming. Any ideas??
