What if i apply a custom rom..and disable superuser from the apps??:silly::fingers-crossed:
Will it cause any problems to my device?:silly:
And make sure to check which apps require SuperUser authorization and not use those apps at all (to avoid problems if any) ???
Will this action be known as temporarily UNROOTING my device?
If yes, The SSC wont even know ans ill still be enjoying a Custom Rom, without worries of voiding warranty :laugh:

First off all flashing custom ROM will not void your warranty because when ever you want you can revert back to Stock ROM and SSC don't know that you used some custom ROM...

CWM Backup right?
And if my backup is also of a root that i had done earlier?
Bccause i checked about the Flash Counters..It still remains ZERO in my device.. so this is "Check" put up by samsung ramains INVALID.
Now the slolution?
Plus SSC is not a condition...

Actually the problem is not root. The problem is anything "CUSTOM". Rooting does not increase ur counter nor does any custom ROM if flashed thru CWM. To avoid problems at the SSC, it is recommended that u take it in mint stock state. So just flash the stock ROM before taking it to SSC. Also if u really want to unroot...u cant try the attached package...flash it thru CWM. After that all apps that require root access will no longer work, u can just uninstall those apps.
Use Custom Rom and disable SuperUser.

I am using C.A.M.P Rom as i told you (and the Rom is AWESOME:good
For some reasons (past experiences with my device) i feel kind of unsafe with rooted phones and voiding my warranty till June '13 (not my query)
[MAIN QUESTION] Can i Disable SuperUser and the use the Rom perfectly??
If yes, Will this disable of SU make my phone like a Unrooted phone?
Or
Can i just Unroot my device and still use any Custom Rom??

Buddy. Since we are flashing custom roms via CWM, it will not increase the binary counters. Even u checked it and its zero. It means your warranty is still valid. So no one will deny you the warranty in Service center.
And yes u can disable the Superuser access which will cause issues with some apps which luks for super user access. Its not a proper method if u want to take the phone to service centre. Flash the stock rom via odin and take it to service centre which is safe option for u.

To revert back to stock, flash the stock ROM thru ODIN. Don't use previous CWM nandroid backups.

Buddy if u flash stock ROM thru ODIN, it won't increase ur counter, but if u flash any custom ROM thru ODIN, it will definitely increase ur counter. In my earlier post I've attached the unroot package. Read that post and u can safely continue using the Custom ROM albiet without access to the root apps. Hope this helps.

Earlier I did not know how to revert back to the Stock Rom using CWM.
So i used to flash my phone via odin (Though later our friend MJ and Vikesh did tell me how to use CWM backup/restore)
Still my counters are 0.
[EDIT] As told by Buddy Droidster, Custom Roms Via ODIN Increase the counter? And I thought the stock roms did it too
And the apps which use SU, i dont use those apps and are a bit annoying at times (To be frank )
Plus How will the SSC guys know if i am using anything CUSTOM if i unroot or disable SU? Okay agreed some functions in a custom rom will be Inaccessible? But then we have launchers and all these days? (Just a Noob Query, I'm sorry if it is getting irritating )

OK, so I have the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 (I couldn't find a 7.0 section here, so I picked the next closest) it's not through any phone company. I tried to root, but it failed, so I did a restore bluh bluh bluh. Once I restored I went to update to the latest for my device. It said my system has been modified so there is no update (something along those lines). What do I do to fix this? This is my first android device and I am trying to learn the ropes. I hope I didn't mess this up too badly. Thanks for the help.
I do believe it has Ice cream sandwich on it.
No worries, just register at Sammobile & download a fresh new stock firmware, maybe even the latest one, from there. Use ODIN to flash it and you are good to go again.

do exactly what Jaydaman says, but check on your download screen that you custom counter has not increased, why did you restore bluh bluh bluh if the root failed? if your counter has increased you will need to run the triangleaway app to reset your counter, this requires root however!

How do I check that counter thing? Sorry I am new to this. I've only ever jailbroken my Ipod lol. But I restored it because that's how I reset my iPod when a Jailbreak failed once . Bad Idea. Thanks for all the help. I appreciate it.
If the counter did go up, and since the root is failed, how would I root it to reset the counter-thing?
You can checkl the counter IN download mode. It will show as Something Something counts = X

As long as it says official firmware and not custom binary, he should be able to update. My counter was at like 13 last time i did an ota update, but that was a couple months ago. I just flashed the official firmware and updated, no triangle away.

I got it to work. I rooted it. I jsut reran everything. I wouldn't mind having a different kernal to check out what all android has to offer.

I only need root access to install a few apps, FolderMount, Titanium, Root explorer, etc.
I own too a Galaxy S2 that I rooted by the method of "rooting without flashing unsecure kernel" is it possible to apply the same method to the Note 10.1?

Let me ask you this, why no flashing? As far as I know it's either Odin or flash. You need to get a custom recovery on it in order to root.

There was an Exynos exploit method but Samsung patched the security hole a few updates ago.
The method in the link that was posted does alter your flash count and that can be correct but you are the owner of the device and if you are not comfortable flashing you tablet I wouldn't.
I have flashed mine and tried a few rom's but I always ended up resetting my flash counter and going back to stock.
Folder mount works great and that was the reason I rooted in the first place but you can store your files on the ext drive and transfer them back and forth manually but I found with my fast wifi I'm better off re-downloading the data along with "Helium - App Sync and Backup" to backup and restore my data and you do not need root, only draw back is that you have to have a computer connection for backup and restore to work.

I don't think you read that right. You're not flashing a ROM, just a custom recovery through ODIN, then a root app. It's actually very simple. (Any simpler and I would be concerned about rogue app exploits)
Fyi: I'm also new to Samsung devices and bought my tablet this week. Rooted it this morning by following the stickies, but sticking with the stock ROM for now. I'm more than happy with the tablet so far.

There is no flashing a rom with method 2. You Odin the custom recovery then you have to flash the superuser into the system. You need superuser to get root and Odin is the easiest way.
Trust me we have all been in your shoes about being nervous, I've been doing this a long time and this method is really easy.

It does require ODIN but as has been stated this is the norm. You are not replacing any kernels or flashing another rom, you are just adding the root components. Using this method also leaves stock recovery intact...
If you woory about flash counter then run triangleaway after to reset the flash counter and recoveries....
I found doing this, doing a factory reset from settings then reflashing the Stock rom using Mobile ODIN pro gave me a stock standard, but rooted, rom with all statuses "Official" and 0 flash count....
A lot of work I know but then worthwhile things generally require it...
Ok, I followed the Method 2 made everything like on video, after pressing Power+Volume Up, I entered on STOCK Recovery, not the CWM,even so, I apply the .zip and I get:

I also retryed and turned off auto-reboot in Odin before starting the process but I get the same thing, now what should I do?

Ok, Its finally rooted, What I had to do,
On Odin unthick auto-reboot, When Odin finished doing its thing, dont shutdown the Tablet but press Power+Volume Up and go directly to CWM recovery and there follow the rest of instructions.

I see that I'm probably too late now to answer the OP.
But maybe others can be interested.
I find that the easiest way to root (without odin and without installing a custom recovery) is Framaroot.
It uses some Exynos exploits, and has been also recently updated by the developer to counteract Samsung's patches.
It may work or it may not work on some devices and with some of the more recent firmware.
In any case giving it a try doesn't cost anything. It's just an app.
If it works the app can also be used to temporarily remove the root.
For me it worked with Firmware N8000XXCLL3 and I know that it works with some more recent fw too.
Furthermore it doesn't change the counter and even the Devices Status remains "Official". Well, actually the devices status may change to "Custom" after few days with the tablet on, but it returns Official after a simple reboot.

I don't use CWM, but see if there is a signature seeing to turn it off. Also make sure your md5 of the zip is correct.

Where should i look for a signature ? I have downloaded the file 3 times, just to manke sure that i wasen't bad.

I would use the touch cwm, and what rom are you trying to install?
So, I've got JB 4.1.2 and am rooted. No custom ROM. (I think I used Chainfire's method, but can't remember exactly. If anybody can tell me if there's a way to verify that, it would be helpful.)
I'd like to be able to get OTA updates and have read several threads about Triangle Away. Frankly, I don't really understand them, and they scare me.
So, my questions are:
1. Is Triangle Away a pretty safe thing to do? I've read about having to reset if something should happen. I don't really want to have to do that.
2. Once I run Triangle Away, is my device the way it was before I started? I keep reading about a factory reset and am not really sure what that entails.
I don't want to have to start over. I just want to keep it the way I have it and be able to install OTA updates.

1. Yes it works pretty well for me
2. No - you're still rooted. Factory reset will make no difference.
If you're rooted then it's simple no OTA. You need to return to stock so a stock OTA can be applied.
Incidentally for my $500 device I can remember exactly what method I used to root it on every occasion that I have needed to.
1. Exynos Abuse - first root - maintained by Mobile Odin
2. Chainfire for 4.1.2 BTU
3. Chainfire for 4.1.2 XSG

The things you shouldn't have flashed include
Chainfire AF
TWRP
CWM
etc
For any changes to Recovery - The Binary counter cannot be reset permanently. It will increases every time it detects a custom recovery
im thinking of rooting now as I'm not sure that Samsung are going to role out any more updates for the note 10.1 - its all quiet on that front (I have S3 to and it's quiet on that front to). So in reality it doesn't really matter about OTA (i guess). Ill make my mind up more once I have a question answered regarding root apps.

from what I understood by researching this for myself (correct me if I'm wrong) , as long as you have root your device will be shown as 'custom' under device settings(even it you have no binary count ), So you won't be able to relieve OTA updates, the only way to receive OTA would be to format system , but then you would lose root, So having root AND OTA at the same time is not possible .
however,I think that apps like triangle away have a option that can hide root or something like that.I didn't read into this though
again, I'm new here as well So I'm not sure it what I said here is correct- its also a way to check if I understood

Triangle Away is used to reset the built in flash counter that Samsung can check to see if you flashed a custom recovery. Typically people flash a custom recovery as a first step in rooting their phone. So the flash counter is increased from 0, and they can tell that you're a naughty boy and have "abused" your phone - warrant void. Triangle away DOES NOT alter the fact that you then went on to root the phone. So your root status remains.
OTA updates check the status of the phone (custom), they don't check the flash counter. So Triangle Away has no effect at all on OTA updates since it doesn't effect root.
So if your phone is rooted then you CANNOT get OTA updates and TA will not help you. You have to NOT be rooted to get OTA.
To go further, you probably have to have never rooted on that particular ROM to receive OTA updates.
So - to be clear
1. If you want OTA - then use TA to clear flash counter and then use ODIN to flash the latest stock rom for your country - this will erase root and place stock recovery.
2. If you want root then just face the fact that you cannot have OTA
I just checked my flash counter - it's 1 because i have TWRP installed. I can reset it to 0 with TA, but it just goes back to 1 all the time that TWRP is there.

Then use odin to install the latest rom for his device from http://samfirmware.com/
This should put them back to factory and my experience has been that no data will be lost.
Then run update to see if you truly have all the latest updates.
Then root again.

Oh..... remember to make a backup in TWRP or CWM before doing any of the above and you will be OK.

If you are rooted and want to remain rooted, you do not want OTA updates. Download firmware from sammobile and install via mobileODIN. Set to inject root and MobileODIN.
This method keeps my note 10.1 stock, rooted, latest firmware.

O I like this... But how can you be sure you downloaded the correct version when is released? ... I'm in UK note 8010 wifi... What things would I typically need to look for?

Go to http://samfirmware.com/ and type in 8010 and it will tell you all the firmware that is out for your unit.
It looks like this is the latest for yours.

Oh... It's that easy to upgrade the firmware with mobile odin. Thank you so much for the tips. I'm going to root the device and forget about OTA. I could just do with knowing a number of useful and key 'root apps' now too. I guess triangle away and mobile odin are essential.

As loribuono is running a stock rooted rom they could reset flash count with Triangle Away.
Then use odin to install the latest rom for his device from http://samfirmware.com/
This should put them back to factory and my experience has been that no data will be lost.
Then run update to see if you truly have all the latest updates.
Then root again.
This should work correct??????
Oh..... remember to make a backup in TWRP or CWM before doing any of the above and you will be OK.

My build version is JZO54K.N8013UEUCMA3
My counter is set to 5, because I had at one time put the German ROM on this thing. I went back to stock, updated to JB and then rooted. That's where I'm at.
I don't understand most of this stuff, like when someone says "set to inject root and MobileODIN." Set what? What is "inject root?" It's the terminology I don't get.
Not to mention the conflicting information... you can.. you can't. Still don't know if what I want is possible.

Since you are rooted, install triangleaway and run it... Presto, you now have 0 flash count...
I am currently searching for a method to root the Galaxy Tab 2 7" (Model numbers P3110 and P3100) without increasing the custom binary flash counter. As far as I am informed, if the device can be rooted without touching the counter, mobile odin could flash roms without affecting it either. It comes with a 4.0.4 firmware so hacking via /data/local is no longer possible.
As an alternateve, if it would be possible to bring CWM to the device without increasing the counter, a rooted rom could be installed via recovery also leaving alone the counter. (This at least works flawlessly with CyanogenMod on my galax s2 ever since.) It seems that the recovery.img for CWM alone could be flashed using the stock recovery from an external sd card when converted to a zip. Will this increase the counter? There also seems to be something called temporary CWM which is only executed for a single run, not installed permenently. Although I did not find much information and do not know where to get it, maybe this could be more safe?
Or perhaps someone can tell me another way of safely rooting the tab I did not think about.

Just use Triangle Away after rooting to return your flash counter to 0.

Resetting the counter is a well known strategy to calm your mind. Fuzzy rumor even has it that there could be another hidden counter counting counter resets. Anyways, here I want to search for a way to root without increasing any counter to begin with.
The /data/local hack could be applied to a 4.0.3 firmware. Luckily sammobile indeed provides this version. But is it safe to flash? Will installing the P3110XXALD4_P3110DBTALD1_DBT.zip via stock recovery trip the counter?

Dude the traingle away method method has been used like a million times by people who want to get their warranty back after rooting or flashing custom roms , and even if there is a hidden flash counter then the samsung service shop people dont know about that because i too had reset the flash counter and gave to them when i had some touch issues and they replaced the tab for me !!!

Thanks for this promising information. I will consider rooting the device with a counter incrementing method when I am sure that there is no way to avoid it.

Framaroot gives the message "Your device seems not vulnerable to exploit included in Framaroot" on startup and exits right away giving me no chance to even try one of the exploits.
