Hello all!
I need not introduce myself here, well this my second contribution after JetMOD for this phone.
This time I am presenting you all Kernel Flasher, this tool can flash practically any kernel(you need to provide that ) on your S Advance via ADB interface.
★ Requirements ★
1. Windows PC
2. Galaxy S advance with USB debugging enabled and USB drivers installed
3. Root access and busybox installed
This is in alpha stage because its not yet tested and may contain bugs or complete failure in flashing. I don't have this phone(Surprised? Yeah ) and I have been developing as third person as for all my contributions for this device
So I need you to try it and report back

This tool will be more useful in future as you all will get new kernels in future

There are Diego's, and CoCore's kernels. And Varun's, but his is inside of ROM. Look in our forum, it is not that hard to find. Look for [kernel] in the treads title.

Ooooppss. I made a mistake. It does't change kernel. I was using the same kernel as I had before. But when I tried to change it to yours from JetMode - it says I have the same kernel as I was before... Sorry for that.

No, but phone must be rooted to use it.
Just tested the tool and it works fine for me...Changed from JetMod Kernel to CoCore just fine.

It's based on Adam's CM10, so what ever is working in CM10 will only work in this also...
so nothing is working for now except boot and some minor things but soon we will get :fingers-crossed:.....

Hey buddy, We all like MIUI..bt problem is still there that we can download & flash bt it will b like dummy phone which can touch & slid..

I've also performed a logcat but without phone and mms.
I don't know how to do a logcat from the computer, so i've pushed a logcat tool to system/app...

Yes, It's 100 % correct link.
But I have no proper baseband for this, I have tried v000001 and v0005 but they didnt worked for me.

This is still JB 4.1.2, since we're still building PA with a CM base. PA's new AOSP 4.2 base appears to be on the same 'jellybean' branch, which is why (I'm assuming) the version still went up to 3.00. I didn't change this, it was built that way from PA source.

PER-APP-DPI/LAYOUT
This is not tablet mode! Hybrid engine allows you to target apps individually. You get to pick their actual layouts which can tranform content drastically. Keep in mind, this has nothing to do with build.prop hacks or DPI changes. We list all layouts an app brings, you choose one, its as easy as that. It does not matter if your device runs itself in Phone-, Phablet or Tablet-UI, your apps will always look as you like. On top of that you can scale apps, to fit your screen, that way you can even bring full fledged tablet apps and make them run perfectly. Nothing will break, nothing will shrink, your market will be fine. Additionally we have rewritten many parts of the android framework and fixed countless of AOSP bugs to make way for these modifications - our "tablet mode" runs better on a phone than on a real tablet, that is guaranteed.

➳ First of all, no one guarantees that this or any work on this planet will surely work on your phone. If DEV got it working on it working on his phone then it should virtually work on all same devices. Still User mistakes while Flashing, Hardware defects and the features in the Kernel(such as Over-clocking) are the factors which need to be taken into consideration before blaming others. ONLY YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING THAT MIGHT HAPPEN TO YOU.
ℚ Battery life is so poor
➳ Check the solutions than blaming DEV. Check the wakelocks or apps that are eating up the Juice off your battery. Don't overclock. Check this guide for wakelocks.

Though I have a workaround for you maybe as I was on Parallax for sometime and I might know why's it not working.
Copy prima_wlan.ko from /system/lib/modules/prima to /system/lib/modules/ and rename it to wlan.ko, make sure it replaces the file there. It should work fine then if still nothing then complain about it to your ROM developer for not linking prima_wlan.ko and wlan.ko properly.

OR a possible Work around is
1. Flash boot.img from FlashTool
2. Boot to CWM/TWRP and flash the Kernel Zip again. The modules are now at their right place and Your WIFI is working.
If not CONTACT ROM developer because its then a ROM bug.
ℚ I lost ROOT Access
➳ See flashing a Kernel on existing rooted ROM will not result in loosing root access, but even if it happens, please Flash this SuperSu.zip first and you'll get your ROOT access. After doing this, still you are unrooted then you are a special case and please then (only then) post on thread.
HOPE MANY OF THE PROBLEMS WILL BE CLEAR NOW, PLEASE GUYS FOLLOW RULES AND DON'T SPAM ORIGINAL DEVELOPMENT SECTION'S THREAD FOR YOUR SILLY MISTAKES/BUGS ETC. REPORT THEM HERE INSTEAD. KEEP THAT THREAD FOR DEVELOPMENT RELATED DISCUSSIONS ONLY !

Yes,you need.
Can I flash it over other custom kernel. If yes then any wipe is needed?

I don't think so, someone correct me if I'm wrong. I'd probably go with 1.12

It will work on 0.26 firmware also. No issues with that.

Just wipe cache and dalvik cache.

Umm nothing but make sure that the file system/bin/thermald is in proper form. I mean not renamed to thermald.bk or something else.
I flash this kernel and my wifi mac changed, is this normal, if so how i get it back to old mac?

Explanation:
we all know that amazing theme by @rrgrrg but the main problem with V2 is that most of the themed apps arn't working on our device that is becuase of the following:
Most files wich are themed in the version by @rrgrrg are located in the following folder:
drawable-sw359dp-hdpi
and we have the following folder on our device:
drawable-sw320dp-hdpi
So that is the simple conclusion to why it is not working.
Now i have worked on this to get it all themed in the right places and spend a lot of work on this to get it right.
THERE ARE 2 PACKAGES ONE FOR CWM AND ONE FOR TWRP IF YOU USE CWM FLASH THE CWM PACKAGE AND IF YOU USE TWRP USE THE TWRP PACKAGE

With camera looks wierd do you mean that the icon looks wierd or when using there application it looks wierd .
i dont want to brag about something great you have:good: here but i use the camere very very much thats why i ask

Why not Ex v2.1?
Yes it will work, but some stuff with Music Player and camera needs to be fixed.
On MP i found missized stuff.
And camera is wierd, as mentioned

yes but in the theme, the topic of rom says to be installed by cwm, perhaps this the reason ... I never tried TWRP just do not know how it works ... but when I can I will try I'm new to the android world and as such even realize little about the subject
