i m just a normal user not developer
i need to send some logcat file to a developer to check the app issue.
is this the correct way to capture the error in the logcat file?
1. download and install the catlog app in my phone
2. launch catlog app
3. go to the catlog menu, and select Record
4. it will prompt for a file name, click ok
5. go back to main menu and launch the app that has issue
6. produce the program error from that app
7. return to the catlog app
8. select stop recording.
9. send that logcat file to the developer?

a few days ago i mentioned that i kept getting a force close in the martket and i couldnt install any app from it
i did several wipes and noticed as soon as i apply the dark facebook or transparent facebook widget, i get the force close on the market.
so i think that is the problem.
anyone else facing this?
can someone check if the same thing happens with them?
however this issue is resolved when i uninstall updates from market using application manager. but i have to do that everytime i want to install an app from the market.
what morph are u using
all of these cause the same problem for me:

Did you apply any morph that modified framework-res.apk ?
I've noticed that sometimes it screws up the UIDs and the Market app loses the PACKAGE_INSTALL permission.
Only way out I've found is to restore your most recent nandroid backup.
I'm sure theres a manual way to fix this (if this is even your issue), but havent found instructions yet.
Its likely not this facebook morph as it includes only images and xml, and cannot affect any other part of the system.
Post your logcat around the time the market force closes.

I am trying to download SU file manager and terminal app.
The market is stuck on "authorizing purchase". If I try to click cancel download, the market force closes. Any tips on fixing this?
from google forums:
1. Uninstall the application that is hanging up in the Market.
2. From the home screen, select "Menu" > "Settings" > "Applications" > "Manage Applications".
3. Select the "Running" tab.
4. Scroll down and select "Market".
5. Select "Clear Data", and then confirm.
6. After the data is cleared, go back to Home, and run the Market.
7. Redownload the application, and all should go just fine.

If you're installing an app which you downloaded on your computer, do this:
connect your device with your computer
copy the downloaded app (.apk) onto your device into any folder
go to your basic file manager which should be included on your device
search for the app which you copied
click on it and it should be ready to be installed
IF it doesnt work, go to settings and change the option to enable your device to install 3rd party apps.
In order to install an Android application onto the device in question, proceed with the following steps:
1. Using the Applications Menu, open the Android Marketplace.
2. Here, any option from Applications to Games or Search may be accessed. Utilize these tools to find the desired application. Use the Search to find a specific one or simply browse until the first appealing one comes up on the list.
Each application should come with its own rating and description. Evaluate carefully.
Simply click on the application to view more details and click the Install button towards the bottom of the screen.
4. The next screen describes what it will require to work. Simply agree to the terms and it is installed.

Try downloading apk with different browser
for me, goto settings, tap the search on top, type in 'unk', choose top return - 'Install unknown apps' . . .
goes to new srcn that sez 'Special app access', go down ten lines to 'Install unknown apps' and there is an app list with allow / not allow
goto your browser ( kiwi, brave ) and toggle to allow.
hth !
Reinstall the rom
