Does anyone know of a launcher that gets rid if the app drawer? I love the feature of miui but with the lack of updates I'd like to try a more current ROM.

I think this is the closest you will get.

You can also use nova launcher (or similar) and long press the app drawer and drag it off the screen. I guess you would have to set apps to 'auto add' after install from the market and drag each app out as well.... I usually get rid of the app drawer icon and set it to open with a swipe up...

Could be TouchWiz related. I use Apex Launcher and it has it's own special gestures that you can customize for things like double-tapping the home screen.
Is there a lockscreen app that mimics the Sammy lockscreen? I love the swipe anywhere thing and the swipe for notifications. (like how the message notification shows up and you swipe from that to open the message) I'm using the circles lockscreen on aokp but it doesn't have the notifications.

Widgetlocker is the closest. Maybe go locker haven't used go locker in a coons age but widget locker is pretty tight
Alright, might give it a try. For sure won't use go locker, the only good thing go put out was messaging but it doesn't beat stock. Thanks for the reply.

Roymam created an app here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2100219
But I wasn't able to get it to work on the latest version of Embryo 6.2

I love the tablet ui mods that have been made possible by these wonderful devs. But most of these mods are only useable by stock Roms. Roms that are heavily modified can cause interference, lag, and system fc's. Those roms happen to be the ones I like most. Smh. So why not have a home replacement app that mimics the tablet ui mod. Tablet ui works for me because the notifications bar it's at the bottom. And I'm using a sg note2 and it is more easily accessible from the bottom. So why not have a home replacement app with its own notifications bar that can be customized to be placed at the top out bottom, and can be switched to phablet mode as well, and resizable grid.

What is your phone? AOSPA ROM is really stable. Or alternatively, use apex AND lmt launcher. Lmt should provide you with something similar to a tablet UI while apex will let you hide everything else.
Edit: Not familiar with your phone but my advice still stands

Is it possible to remove the Google Search bar from my stock launcher. It just bugs me being there, so have to use a Apex which I don't like using a 3rd party launcher.

The OP mentioned he doesn't want a third party launcher. You can try disabling Google Search. It worked on other versions of Android but I don't know if it will still work. One thing; anything that relies on search will not work.
I want it out of there as well, I've been on android since the begining and I have an exact layout I use. That location is where my clock widget goes and there isn't a chance in hell I will use their stock launcher until it can be moved.
visually disable that "Search bar", while still having the "Ok Google"
I would love to be able to simply visually disable that "Search bar", while still having the "Ok Google" voice function working (don't mind loosing the Google Now swipe too)!
if there is an app or some hack that can be applied to stock tooted ROM, pleas let me know.
Thanks
