Appdrawer question. - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

So i noticed this on the stock rom as well as the new rom, which is the new synergy rom.
My question is, is there a way to make the app drawer in alphabetical order?
It appears that there in alphabetical order but are in three catagories. Until the downloaded apps, they just pull up as you download them.

Open Menu from your app drawer and select View Type, from there you can select "alphabetical grid".

I feel stupid, but thank you very much!!!

Requested-Twiz sms pop ups.

So, I have been trying to figure out how to get the stock sms pop up on to my sk4g. I am using the PDT Twiz 3.0 rom with tweaks.
Is there a flashible .zip for the sms pop ups?
I can't for the life of me figure out how to get them back, sorry if this is easly found as I have been looking all day.

Requests go in either the general section if it's a request to add a feature, or in the specific ROM's thread if it's a request to add a feature to that specific ROM.
TouchMIUIWiz 3.0 disables the ability to use the notification popup, as it uses the tweaked settings.apk. I'll add the request to have a flashable stock settings.apk to the TouchMIUIWiz thread.
In this case, this request would belong as a post in that thread, rather than it's own separate thread.
Had no idea, sorry man. I guess I'll make a post over there but I think one has been made..

are you on the aospmod version or the full version from the TMW original thread ?
Drivesmart and Theme Chooser should force close, as these should have been removed. Not sure why Notification Popup Force Closes, that should still be there.
you must be on the aospmod version, or maybe im missing something. But the only reason you would get a FC when selecting those is cause you dont have the proper apps in system/app for them to work
here a zip that will fix that, it includes notification popup, drivesmart apks, theme changer and the correct settings apk. just flash it in CWM and it should fix all of that. http://www.multiupload.com/69B7T77J9Z
Oh, I was on the asop mod, sorry.
I flashed the zip and I can access all the settings but pop ups still won't work.

is it perhaps located in settings/notification pop up? (not in the messaging app, but your main settings)
Nope. I've looked like crazy but I can't find it

You need the original settings apk, not the modded one with Notification Popups removed.
If you don't want to flash that, some way of editing
Code:
"/data/data/com.samsung.nop/shared_prefs/Notification\ pop-up\ settings.xml"
and
"/data/data/com.samsung.nop/shared_prefs/com.samsung.nop_preferences.xml"
have the line that reads
Code:
<boolean name="Notification pop-up settings" value="[COLOR="Red"]true[/COLOR]" />
changed to read
Code:
<boolean name="Notification pop-up settings" value="[COLOR="Red"]false[/COLOR]" />

1. I could send you a file taken from stock ROM but you forgot to provide you ROM version
2. you can try to extract it yourself - there's a tool for ROM conversion to format mountable on PC (with e.g. Ext2Fsd & gizmo)
3. I found port of it for non-TW ROMs somewhere on xda - don't remember the link, but try searching for "TW clock"
Hey thanks for taking the time to reply. I am on LQ2 ICS. If you could send file to [email protected] or post here or whatever that would be ace. I will have a look for TW clock as well.

[Request] nav bar and battery

I tried aokp ROM and they have the ability to add the navigation bar. Can anyone create a zip that gives that possibility. Also they have a line that can be placed on top or bottom showing your battery. And it has a charging animation. Can someone create a zip to get those on cm10? Thanks

[Q] Can't change ringtone - S2 hd lte - bell

Hi, the problem I've been having is that I cannot change my ringtone at all; I've tried installing mp3 files into the ringtone folder, I've tried using apps to change the ringtone but it's been to no avail; for some strange reason it stays on 'Whistle' no matter how many times I change it... the phone has been rooted, and is running CM10 - and has been flashed through zip files on my sdcard. The problem didn't happen after I rooted, it's always been this way.
You try changing it within the messaging app/gmail/talk app, or just in the settings? What rom you on? Have you changed permissions on the ring tones you added?

I'm currently in the 'talk' app, which linked me to a webpage/help page... checking now; and though no change. Still uses the 'Whistle' notification.
Go into a root explorer app and see if your permissions look like this...

\my apologies, didn't answer the earlier questions fully. I'm using CM10 - I've tried changing it under settings/sound/default notification(phone ringtone). Not sure how to grant it permission...

Permissions look like that, yes.
Download ES file explorer from play store. Open it. Press soft menu button. Press settings. Scroll to root settings. Make sure all boxes are checked and allow super user rights. Back out to files. Press the button on the top row with an up arrow and a folder (or something like that). Scroll to system folder->media -> audio-> notifications->scroll to tone you want and long press it till a menu pops up->scroll to properties ->select permissions box. Should look like my screen shot.

Hmmm... I am stumped then man. Sorry, maybe a bad flash. You could try just wiping cache and dalvik and flashing rom over top of itself in case something went wrong in the first flash.

This has definitely spurred my curiosity. I've not seen anything like it before. You say in your 1st post that this was going on when you were on stock rom too? If so, it sounds like a buggy phone. Maybe try going back to stock, un root and try for a warranty replacement.

Or maybe going back to complete stock then doing the rooting process and flashing the rom again.....that sumtimes solves weird issues.

(Q) applying a new theme

I downloaded the jelly bean theme. I can not figure out how to apply it to my phone now. Could someone tell me where to find it on my phone
Sent from my SCH-I200 using xda app-developers app
I'm assuming you are on cm9, aokp or another rom that supports themes.
Go to the settings app
select "themes"
Scroll to the jellybean theme you downloaded
click apply
