The Unified Android Toolkit supports a multitude of Nexus and Samsung devices with more devices being added all the time. There is also an option at startup to run a Basic Android Toolkit which any Android device can use to install drivers, make app backups, install apk files, reboot the device into different modes and run a command prompt for manual input.

1. INSTALLING ADB/FASTBOOT DRIVERS
The first thing you need to do is to install the adb/fastboot drivers. These are needed so that you can unlock your bootloader, root your device and perform other adb/fastboot functions.
THE DRIVERS CAN BE INSTALLED DIRECTLY VIA THE TOOLKIT. OPTION 1 IN THE MAIN MENU.
If drivers are not installed or there is an exclamation mark next to the device:
Plug the device in to a usb cable directly connected to your motherboard.
In the Device Manager a new item, usually called Android 1.0 should pop up in the list.
Right click on the device item then left click on Update Driver Software. Select 'browse my computer' and then 'Let me pick from a list'.
If no adb interface driver appears in the list then untick 'Show compatible hardware' and find the Android or Samsung adb interface driver.
If you cannot find either of these click Have Disk, browse to the Toolkit install folder, drivers folder, click on android_winusb.inf and click Open.
Click OK and select Google ADB Interface.
Make sure you have USB debugging enabled in settings, developer options. In Android 4.2.2 or later you have to enable the developer options screen by going to settings, About on your device and click on Build number at the bottom 7 times until it says You are now a developer. If you have already enabled usb debugging then unplug/replug the usb cable.
On Android 4.2.2 or later when you replug the usb cable after enabling usb debugging for the first time you will get a popup asking you to authenticate your pc. Tick 'Always allow' then click 'ok'.

2. USING SKIPSOFT UNIFIED ANDROID TOOLKIT
When starting the Toolkit you will first be asked which device you want to work with. Working folders will be created and the device files downloaded. You will then be taken to the Model/Build selection screen where you can do a number of things (other than select your model/build): Type '00' to enter your activation code and enable pro features, 'i' will take you to the Information and Help Section, 'a' will give you information on how to add support for a new build.
Supported builds are listed in the Model/Build selection screen and typing the associated number (i.e. 11) will download needed boot and recovery files (stock and custom recovery) then check for and download the latest superuser files available and custom recovery (pro versions only), verify all the files and start the Main Menu. You can now use all the functions and tools the Android Toolkit offers. Pro users can select the "any build" option to root any build (useful if your build is not listed).

How to get into Recovery Mode
1. Unplug the USB cable.
2. Shut down the phone.
3. Hold down the 'HOME' + 'VOLUME UP' buttons and press the 'POWER' button for about 5 seconds to enter Recovery Mode.
How to get into Download Mode (For Odin)
1. Unplug the USB cable.
2. Shut down the phone.
3. Hold down the 'HOME' + 'VOLUME DOWN' buttons and press the 'POWER' button for about 2 seconds until a WARNING! Screen appears. Press the 'VOLUME UP' button to enter Download Mode.

**FAQ**
Q. Help me I can't find my build in the Model Selection Screen
The Toolkit includes a selection of Insecure Boot Images to cover all the different builds available. As there are very many different builds it is impossible to include an image for every single build but some builds share the same Boot Image. If you have a build that isnt listed on the Model Selection Screen you can therefore use a similar build. The best way to go is up to the next available build as it should offer more compatibility with the build you are using but if that isn't available then try the next build below your one as it should still be almost identical as long as it is the same version (ie. 4.1.1).
The Model Selection Screen is there so that if a task in the ToolKit requires an insecure kernel [to perform adb root commands] and your phone doesnt already include one, a compatible boot image [with an insecure kernel included] can be flashed to provide adb root access.
If you have a Custom Rom flashed to your phone then it will most probably have an insecure kernel included so it doesn't really matter if your build is not listed on the Model Selection Screen and when asked [by certain functions] if you have an insecure kernel on your phone you can answer 'yes'. However if the function fails then your kernel may not be insecure in which case you can flash one from the ToolKit. If you need to do this make sure the right build [or closest available build] is set so you flash the right image for your phone.

Q. What is ADB Shell?
Adb shell is a linux command line tool (because android is based on linux) used to send commands to your android device. For S-ON devices, this is crucial for modifying files in the /system partition (where the rom sits) as you cannot modify anything in /system when the rom is running without S-OFF like removing system apps.

Q. Why do I need to back up my IMEI/EFS and how do I do it?
There well protected section of your device that is virtually immune to any kind of flashing and manipulation (unless of course you know how to access it). This part of the device contains information such as IMEI (or MEID and ESN in the case of CDMA devices), programming parameters for the device such as your account information (phone number, etc), data provisioning parameters, and a whole bunch of other things that, when not handled properly, can render a device completely useless. All of these are contained in the infamous \EFS folder. If anything messes with your EFS folder, unlike flashing a device (which could potentially lead to bricks as well) it could render your device completely useless as it will no longer be recognized by your carrier. If you are not planning on flashing anything to your device and want to stay on pure Stock then you may never have any problems but it is still advisable to backup this information just in case (better to be safe than sorry). If you have a GT-I9300 GSM Model then you can do this from the Toolkit but if you have an LTE device then it isn't soo easy to do. If you have an LTE device you should go to *THIS* thread by lyriquidperfection and follow the information to save your IMEI/NV Data so that you are covered if anything should happen.

Q. Is there currently no way to root the Samsung Galaxy S3 without voiding the warranty?
All methods of rooting will void your warranty in some way as you will have superuser files on your phone that arent supposed to be there. There is a method of rooting your phone without increasing the flash counter which involves flashing a complete rom with root files already added but if anything happens and you need to send it back under warranty you will need to flash a 'proper' Stock Rom back before returning it or your warranty will be void. Flashing a custom kernel or recovery to root will increase the flash counter and also void any warranty. There is currently no method of resetting the flash counter on Snapdragon models but im pretty sure there will be some support for it soon. If you dont want to risk it or you aren't sure then you shouldnt really be flashing your phone and should just leave it alone. Its your choice .

Q. Will flashing Stock ROM via odin using the toolkit replace everything that was flashed before? recovery? etc?
Yes a Stock Image flashed via Odin will replace all your key partitions (boot, recovery, system) with the stock firmware. If you want to reset the phone back to an 'out of the box' state then you want to enter recovery and do a wipe first which will reformat your userdata partition.

Q. I flashed Custom Recovery but each time I reboot the Stock Recovery is back
There is an auto recovery restore system on certain Stock Android Builds that will reflash the Stock Recovery if you flash CWM on a Stock Rom.
Use Root Explorer to Mount the system folder as R/W (or use a free app from Google Play such as ES File Explorer). Rename the files /system/recovery-from-boot.p and /system/etc/install-recovery.sh (requires root). Now when you flash Custom Recovery it will NOT be overwritten after a reboot. You can also do this via the Toolkit.

Q. My AntiVirus program says the Toolkit files may be harmful
The exe compiled files are not digitally signed with a Microsoft certificate (as they cost money) so certain AntiVirus programs (mainly Norton and AVG Free) may pick it up as potentially harmful when it is not. They will pick up ANY file that doesn't contain a purchased Microsoft certificate in the same way. Just Restore the deleted file and exclude it from further scans and it will be fine. Or switch to a better AntiVirus program such as BitDefender.

Q. I flashed the Toolkit Boot Image, now my wifi + bluetooth won't work
The boot images are made from Stock with only needed changes made to the insecure boot images [modified adbd, default.prop and rc.local edited] and will work on all stock roms. If you flash them to a custom rom and the rom has been altered or uses a custom boot image then it will boot but certain modules may not load such as wifi or bluetooth. In this case you can use the boot image to root or perform adb root functions but will need to flash back the boot image for the custom rom to get other functions working again. This is not a fault of the Toolkit but a difference to stock in the custom rom.

Q. I am having trouble getting adb working with the drivers installed
Try switching your connection type from media (MTP) mode to camera mode (P2P). To do this open the notification area, click where it says connected as and change from MTP to PTP.

Q. I want to send my device back for warranty purposes
1. Follow the instructions to reset your flash counter with TriangleAway.
2. Download and flash a Stock Firmware image from the download section.
3. Boot into Stock Recovery and perform a wipe/factory reset

Your internal storage will be formatted and data and cache wiped. Your device should now be back to an out-of-the-box FULLY STOCK state with the flash counter [shown if you boot to download mode manually] reset and ready to send back.

Q. When connecting the phone I get 'USB Device not Recognized' and no serial number shows in the ToolKit
I actually had this problem recently and what fixed it for me was to make sure that the drivers have been installed, then shut my phone down plug the usb cable in and restart it. The phone booted up and the device was recognized and drivers installed correctly. May not work for everyone but worth trying.

Theres absolutely no risk of any damage as Stock Firmware images exist for your device so if anything doesnt work a simple flash will fix anything.

For xxali9 you can choose the ALI5 or the ALJ4 model it doesnt matter they will both work perfectly.

Just to clarify for I9305 users this toolkit states full support for our device but just be aware it cannot communicate in Qualcomm Diag Mode so backing up EFS on its own is not amicable. Please still use the QPST method to backup NV Items and EFS area of the device.
For anything else then this toolkit is the biz although I write my own tools!

1. INSTALLING ADB/FASTBOOT DRIVERS
The first thing you need to do is to install the adb/fastboot drivers. These are needed so that you can unlock your bootloader, root your device and perform other adb/fastboot functions.
THE DRIVERS CAN BE INSTALLED DIRECTLY VIA THE TOOLKIT. OPTION 1 IN THE MAIN MENU.
If drivers are not installed or there is an exclamation mark next to the device:
Plug the device in to a usb cable directly connected to your motherboard.
In the Device Manager a new item, usually called Android 1.0 should pop up in the list.
Right click on the device item then left click on Update Driver Software. Select 'browse my computer' and then 'Let me pick from a list'.
If no adb interface driver appears in the list then untick 'Show compatible hardware' and find the Android or Samsung adb interface driver.
If you cannot find either of these click Have Disk, browse to the Toolkit install folder, drivers folder, click on android_winusb.inf and click Open.
Click OK and select Google ADB Interface.
Make sure you have USB debugging enabled in settings, developer options. In Android 4.2.2 or later you have to enable the developer options screen by going to settings, About on your device and click on Build number at the bottom 7 times until it says You are now a developer. If you have already enabled usb debugging then unplug/replug the usb cable.
On Android 4.2.2 or later when you replug the usb cable after enabling usb debugging for the first time you will get a popup asking you to authenticate your pc. Tick 'Always allow' then click 'ok'.

2. USING SKIPSOFT UNIFIED ANDROID TOOLKIT
When starting the Toolkit you will first be asked which device you want to work with. Working folders will be created and the device files downloaded. You will then be taken to the Model/Build selection screen where you can do a number of things (other than select your model/build): Type '00' to enter your activation code and enable pro features, 'i' will take you to the Information and Help Section, 'a' will give you information on how to add support for a new build.
Supported builds are listed in the Model/Build selection screen and typing the associated number (i.e. 11) will download needed boot and recovery files (stock and custom recovery) then check for and download the latest superuser files available and custom recovery (pro versions only), verify all the files and start the Main Menu. You can now use all the functions and tools the Android Toolkit offers. Pro users can select the "any build" option to root any build (useful if your build is not listed).

Q. What is ADB Shell?
Adb shell is a linux command line tool (because android is based on linux) used to send commands to your android device. For S-ON devices, this is crucial for modifying files in the /system partition (where the rom sits) as you cannot modify anything in /system when the rom is running without S-OFF (e.g removing system apps).
From Google:
Android Debug Bridge (adb) is a versatile tool lets you manage the state of an emulator instance or Android-powered device. It is a client-server program that includes three components:
A client, which runs on your development machine. You can invoke a client from a shell by issuing an adb command. Other Android tools such as the ADT plugin and DDMS also create adb clients.
A server, which runs as a background process on your development machine. The server manages communication between the client and the adb daemon running on an emulator or device.
A daemon, which runs as a background process on each emulator or device instance.

Q. What is FASTBOOT?
Fastboot is 2 things. It is a mode on the phone, which looks a little like Bootloader. You can access it by holding 'Volume Up' and 'Volume Down' whilst turning on the phone.
It is also a way of flashing radios, recovery, boot images and system images in a command line method from a PC much like adb.

Q. I flashed CWM but each time I reboot the Stock Recovery is back
There is an auto recovery restore system on certain Stock Android Builds that will reflash the Stock Recovery if you flash CWM on a Stock Rom.
Use Root Explorer to Mount the system folder as R/W (or use a free app from Google Play such as ES File Explorer). Rename the files /system/recovery-from-boot.p and /system/etc/install-recovery.sh. Now when you flash CWM Recovery it will NOT be overwritten after a reboot.
OR you can use the ToolKit to rename the files (root access needed).

Q. I want to send my phone back so I need to flash a stock rom and relock the bootloader
1. Download, install and run the Google Nexus 4 Toolkit.
2. Install adb/fastboot drivers (if you havent already done so)
3. Option 9 to download a Google Factory Image.
4. After it finishes downloading you will be given the option to flash the image to your tablet. Do this.
4. Let the phone reboot, then shut the device down and reenter fastboot mode (or boot to fastboot mode via the Reboot Screen in the ToolKit).
5. Option3, 2 to relock the bootloader.
Your internal storage will be formatted and data and cache wiped. Your tablet will now be back to an out-of-the-box FULLY STOCK state and ready to send back.

Q. What is the difference between Nandroid and Titanium backup?
A NANDROID will backup the whole system including boot, system, data and recovery partitions so you can restore a complete rom and all data and settings.
Essentially Titanium Backup is used to backup apps and associated user data. These could be restored AFTER a full wipe and a new Rom had been flashed on your phone.
The other option now which google added into the new adb command list is the adb backup which is in the ToolKit and can do the same job as Titanium Backup but will store the data on your PC rather than on the phone (where it takes up space and could be deleted).

Q. When I try to open the ToolKit I get a box pop up for a split second and then it goes away. My AntiVirus program says the file may be harmful.
The exe files I compiled are not digitally signed with a Microsoft certificate (as they cost money) so certain AntiVirus programs (mainly Norton) will pick it up as potentially harmful when it is not. They will pick up ANY file that doesnt contain a purchased Microsoft certificate in the same way. Restore the deleted file and exclude it from further scans and it will be fine.

Q. The ToolKit recognises my tablet in adb mode but not in fastboot mode (or other way round).
Open the Device Manager on your pc and then boot your tablet into fastboot mode or adb mode (dont plug the usb cable in yet). Make sure USB debugging is enabled on your tablet in settings, developer options. Plug the cable in while watching the Device Manager and determine which item is added to the list with the device plugged in. Once you have found it right click on the item and select update driver. Select 'browse my computer' from the list and then browse to the 'drivers' folder in the ToolKit folder (wherever you installed the ToolKit to). Make sure sub folders is ticked and click next. Hopefully the driver will be picked up and installed.
You can check if a driver has been installed by looking at the top of the Main Menu in the ToolKit while in fastboot mode and adb modes. If a serial number is displayed in each mode then it will work fine.

Q. Can I back up my apps before unlocking the Bootloader so I don't lose everything?
Performing an APPS BACKUP (option2, 1) will backup all apps that were installed after you first used your device. This will include any associated user data (such as settings or high scores for games) and apps you installed from Google Play Store. Just follow the recommended options and remember to turn your phones screen on before starting it as you need to confirm on your screen.
This option will NOT require your bootloader to be unlocked first.
You can also backup your Internal Storage without unlocking using option 2, 3 from the main menu. This will backup anything you store on your Internal Storage such as game data, music, videos. This is just pulled from your /data/media folder so you can view or edit the files on your pc after they have been pulled.
You can then unlock the bootloader (wiping your device) and retore the apps (option 2, 10) and Internal Storage data (option 2, 11) after doing whatever you want to with your device.
The only thing you cannot do with the ToolKit is to save the system settings but some of those are backed up by google if you chose that option when turning your device on the first time.

Q. I have Windows 8 and cannot install the drivers
How to Disable Driver Signature Enforcement in Windows 8:
From the Metro Start Screen, open Settings (move your mouse to the bottom-right-corner of the screen and wait for the pop-out bar to appear, then click the Gear icon).
Click ‘More PC Settings’.
Click ‘General’.
Scroll down, and click ‘Restart now’ under ‘Advanced startup’.
Wait a bit.
Click ‘Troubleshoot’.
Click ‘Advanced Options’
Click ‘Windows Startup Settings’
Click Restart.
When your computer restarts, select ‘Disable driver signature enforcement‘ from the list. You can now load your modified driver. Reboot again once the driver is installed and all will be well.

Q. I cannot find Developer options to Enable USB Debugging
With Android 4.2 google have thought it would be funny to hide the Developer options screen in the Settings. This means you cannot enable usb debugging to communicate with your device. To show the Developers options screen do the following:
Goto Settings, About tablet and tap your finger on the the 'Build number' text at the bottom 7 times (not too fast).
When you have tapped 3 times you will be given a countdown of taps until you become a 'developer'.
Once you are told you are now a developer you can go back to the Settings screen and can see Developer options.
You can now go into Developer options and enable usb debugging.

Q. I tried to enter the code for the professional version but the Toolkit says the code is incorrect
Make sure the code entered is for the correct Toolkit being used.
You need to make sure you start the Toolkit with the toolkit.exe file when activating and not the tkmain.exe file so the settings can be initialised or the code will not be accepted.
Also make sure you enter the code correctly as the characters are case sensitive.

You may want to add this as step one if more people have this same problem. I was having a problem where I wasn't able to flash any recovery at all. You can one time boot into a recovery but it wouldn't flash. Since I had already renamed the original one and it had failed to flash CWM it just hung up at the google screen. After about a hour of trying.( uninstalling drivers, trying a different computer) I found this and it fixed it. If this turns out to be a widespread issue this is a pretty easy fix.

Thanks for the info.
In the driver pack made by 1wayjonny (and the one used in the ToolKit) the first line is already included in the google nexus 7 section the inf. The second line is in the section for the samsung galaxy nexus.
Did you install your drivers through the ToolKit or via another method? Im just not sure if the second line can be added to the google nexus 7 section in the inf file which would mean both are included when drivers are installed.
The source you posted doesnt lead anywhere can you post where you found the info and if its good I can just add that extra line to install the driver.

I used the toolkit first and when I had tried everything I could think of I uninstalled the drivers and tried the manual method. I thought it may have been some interference caused by my Gnex since my tablet was showing up as a Samsung phone in the device manager so I switched to my other laptop installed the kit and used the install method included in the kit. When that didn't work I went to the Asus website and downloaded then drivers directly from there and still no luck. I found that post after almost giving up for the night and after I changed the line ( I only added the bottom one bc the other was already there) the recovery finally stuck.
I sent a pm to the op to see where he got the info I will post when he gets back to me.

It could be implemented just as easily into the ToolKit's drivers from 1wayjonny by just adding the bottom line into the Nexus7 section. That line is already in the Galaxy Nexus section but it wouldnt do any harm adding it to another section if the driver is required as you said.
Im tempted to just add it anyway lol.

Worked a treat! My recovery is there when I reboot to recovery using Quick Reboot from the market. I did not have to add anything further to get the recovery to stick. Thanks very much for your work, and enjoy the pint I bought ya. :laugh:

1. INSTALLING ADB/FASTBOOT DRIVERS
The first thing you need to do is to install the adb/fastboot drivers. These are needed so that you can unlock your bootloader, root your device and perform other adb/fastboot functions.
THE DRIVERS CAN BE INSTALLED DIRECTLY VIA THE TOOLKIT. OPTION 1 IN THE MAIN MENU.
If drivers are not installed or there is an exclamation mark next to the device:
Plug the device in to a usb cable directly connected to your motherboard.
In the Device Manager a new item, usually called Android 1.0 should pop up in the list.
Right click on the device item then left click on Update Driver Software. Select 'browse my computer' and then 'Let me pick from a list'.
If no adb interface driver appears in the list then untick 'Show compatible hardware' and find the Android or Samsung adb interface driver.
If you cannot find either of these click Have Disk, browse to the Toolkit install folder, drivers folder, click on android_winusb.inf and click Open.
Click OK and select Google ADB Interface.
Make sure you have USB debugging enabled in settings, developer options. In Android 4.2.2 or later you have to enable the developer options screen by going to settings, About on your device and click on Build number at the bottom 7 times until it says You are now a developer. If you have already enabled usb debugging then unplug/replug the usb cable.
On Android 4.2.2 or later when you replug the usb cable after enabling usb debugging for the first time you will get a popup asking you to authenticate your pc. Tick 'Always allow' then click 'ok'.

2. USING SKIPSOFT UNIFIED ANDROID TOOLKIT
When starting the Toolkit you will first be asked which device you want to work with. Working folders will be created and the device files downloaded. You will then be taken to the Model/Build selection screen where you can do a number of things (other than select your model/build): Type '00' to enter your activation code and enable pro features, 'i' will take you to the Information and Help Section, 'a' will give you information on how to add support for a new build.
Supported builds are listed in the Model/Build selection screen and typing the associated number (i.e. 11) will download needed boot and recovery files (stock and custom recovery) then check for and download the latest superuser files available and custom recovery (pro versions only), verify all the files and start the Main Menu. You can now use all the functions and tools the Android Toolkit offers. Pro users can select the "any build" option to root any build (useful if your build is not listed).

How to get into Recovery Mode
1. Unplug the USB cable.
2. Shut down the phone.
3. Hold down the 'HOME' + 'VOLUME UP' buttons and press the 'POWER' button for about 5 seconds to enter Recovery Mode.
How to get into Download Mode (For Odin)
1. Unplug the USB cable.
2. Shut down the phone.
3. Hold down the 'HOME' + 'VOLUME DOWN' buttons and press the 'POWER' button for about 2 seconds until a WARNING! Screen appears. Press the 'VOLUME UP' button to enter Download Mode.

**FAQ**
Q. Help me I can't find my build in the Model Selection Screen
The Toolkit includes a selection of Insecure Boot Images to cover all the different builds available. As there are very many different builds it is impossible to include an image for every single build but some builds share the same Boot Image. If you have a build that isnt listed on the Model Selection Screen you can therefore use a similar build. The best way to go is up to the next available build as it should offer more compatibility with the build you are using but if that isn't available then try the next build below your one as it should still be almost identical as long as it is the same version (ie. 4.1.1).
The Model Selection Screen is there so that if a task in the ToolKit requires an insecure kernel [to perform adb root commands] and your phone doesnt already include one, a compatible boot image [with an insecure kernel included] can be flashed to provide adb root access.
If you have a Custom Rom flashed to your phone then it will most probably have an insecure kernel included so it doesn't really matter if your build is not listed on the Model Selection Screen and when asked [by certain functions] if you have an insecure kernel on your phone you can answer 'yes'. However if the function fails then your kernel may not be insecure in which case you can flash one from the ToolKit. If you need to do this make sure the right build [or closest available build] is set so you flash the right image for your phone.

Q. What is ADB Shell?
Adb shell is a linux command line tool (because android is based on linux) used to send commands to your android device. For S-ON devices, this is crucial for modifying files in the /system partition (where the rom sits) as you cannot modify anything in /system when the rom is running without S-OFF like removing system apps.

Q. Why do I need to back up my IMEI/EFS and how do I do it?
There well protected section of your device that is virtually immune to any kind of flashing and manipulation (unless of course you know how to access it). This part of the device contains information such as IMEI (or MEID and ESN in the case of CDMA devices), programming parameters for the device such as your account information (phone number, etc), data provisioning parameters, and a whole bunch of other things that, when not handled properly, can render a device completely useless. All of these are contained in the infamous \EFS folder. If anything messes with your EFS folder, unlike flashing a device (which could potentially lead to bricks as well) it could render your device completely useless as it will no longer be recognized by your carrier. If you are not planning on flashing anything to your device and want to stay on pure Stock then you may never have any problems but it is still advisable to backup this information just in case (better to be safe than sorry). If you have a GT-I9300 GSM Model then you can do this from the Toolkit but if you have an LTE device then it isn't soo easy to do. If you have an LTE device you should go to *THIS* thread by lyriquidperfection and follow the information to save your IMEI/NV Data so that you are covered if anything should happen.

Q. Is there currently no way to root the Samsung Galaxy S3 without voiding the warranty?
All methods of rooting will void your warranty in some way as you will have superuser files on your phone that arent supposed to be there. There is a method of rooting your phone without increasing the flash counter which involves flashing a complete rom with root files already added but if anything happens and you need to send it back under warranty you will need to flash a 'proper' Stock Rom back before returning it or your warranty will be void. Flashing a custom kernel or recovery to root will increase the flash counter and also void any warranty. There is currently no method of resetting the flash counter on Snapdragon models but im pretty sure there will be some support for it soon. If you dont want to risk it or you aren't sure then you shouldnt really be flashing your phone and should just leave it alone. Its your choice .

Q. Will flashing Stock ROM via odin using the toolkit replace everything that was flashed before? recovery? etc?
Yes a Stock Image flashed via Odin will replace all your key partitions (boot, recovery, system) with the stock firmware. If you want to reset the phone back to an 'out of the box' state then you want to enter recovery and do a wipe first which will reformat your userdata partition.

Q. I flashed Custom Recovery but each time I reboot the Stock Recovery is back
There is an auto recovery restore system on certain Stock Android Builds that will reflash the Stock Recovery if you flash CWM on a Stock Rom.
Use Root Explorer to Mount the system folder as R/W (or use a free app from Google Play such as ES File Explorer). Rename the files /system/recovery-from-boot.p and /system/etc/install-recovery.sh (requires root). Now when you flash Custom Recovery it will NOT be overwritten after a reboot. You can also do this via the Toolkit.

Q. My AntiVirus program says the Toolkit files may be harmful
The exe compiled files are not digitally signed with a Microsoft certificate (as they cost money) so certain AntiVirus programs (mainly Norton and AVG Free) may pick it up as potentially harmful when it is not. They will pick up ANY file that doesn't contain a purchased Microsoft certificate in the same way. Just Restore the deleted file and exclude it from further scans and it will be fine. Or switch to a better AntiVirus program such as BitDefender.

Q. I flashed the Toolkit Boot Image, now my wifi + bluetooth won't work
The boot images are made from Stock with only needed changes made to the insecure boot images [modified adbd, default.prop and rc.local edited] and will work on all stock roms. If you flash them to a custom rom and the rom has been altered or uses a custom boot image then it will boot but certain modules may not load such as wifi or bluetooth. In this case you can use the boot image to root or perform adb root functions but will need to flash back the boot image for the custom rom to get other functions working again. This is not a fault of the Toolkit but a difference to stock in the custom rom.

Q. I am having trouble getting adb working with the drivers installed
Try switching your connection type from media (MTP) mode to camera mode (P2P). To do this open the notification area, click where it says connected as and change from MTP to PTP.

Q. I want to send my device back for warranty purposes
1. Follow the instructions to reset your flash counter with TriangleAway.
2. Download and flash a Stock Firmware image from the download section.
3. Boot into Stock Recovery and perform a wipe/factory reset

Your internal storage will be formatted and data and cache wiped. Your device should now be back to an out-of-the-box FULLY STOCK state with the flash counter [shown if you boot to download mode manually] reset and ready to send back.

Q. When connecting the phone I get 'USB Device not Recognized' and no serial number shows in the ToolKit
I actually had this problem recently and what fixed it for me was to make sure that the drivers have been installed, then shut my phone down plug the usb cable in and restart it. The phone booted up and the device was recognized and drivers installed correctly. May not work for everyone but worth trying.

I have been working on this for over 3 weeks and its finally completed
This new unified S3 Toolkit brings together the International and Snapdragon models under a single Toolkit to make updating and maintenance a lot easier. This new version also is the first of my Toolkits to download the model files as needed to make the intial download smaller and avoid accidentally selecting the wrong models image which could lead to trouble. Please read the 1ST POST again as I have changed some information in it. The Toolkit also has an Information section built in so use it as there is allot of useful stuff in there.
One thing I would like to mention is that all the boot images are pure stock with just the rooting process applied to the insecure images. As some Custom Roms are built with their own kernels you may find that if you have a Custom Rom and flash the Toolkits boot image your device boots fine and will have adb root access but wifi and bluetooth don't work. There is nothing I can do about this because of the change to some Custom Roms but it is very easy to just flash the boot image that is linked to the Rom you are using after you have done what you need to. Everything 'should' work perfectly on Stock Roms.
I have had to make some of the boot image blind as no testers came forward to test. If any of the image do not work to boot your device please do not start screaming and shouting, let me know and I will do my best to fix it as soon as possible. In any case (apart from in custom roms as stated above) the stock boot image will always get your device working again. Because the model specific files are downloaded by the Toolkit, if you need to redownload the boot files because they either didnt download/extract properly or because they had to be fixed then all you have to do is to delete your model folder from the root folder in the Toolkit, restart the Toolkit and select your Model/build and it will force the Toolkit to download the model file again.

I'm hoping someone can help me with something though. whenever I try pull the sd contents back to my pc, I get the following... It seems to run through all the commands properly but at the end it says
": No such file or directory
An Error Occurred.
Press any key to return to the Main menu..."
All the other backup features seem to run fine. I haven't had the need to run any of the other features yet. I'll attach a printscreen. Thanks in advance for any help on this!
Trying to root Verizon s3 4.1.1. The device is recognized fine and everything is standard. When I go to root (all in one) I select the correct .tar file but Odin fails. It says "secure check failed" on my phone. No dice there. I've used this in the past on my Sprint S3 and it couldn't have been easier. I'm guessing is something is up with the TAR. I've tried a lot of other options to the same result.
I got similar results when I tried just flashing the recovery option (4). Also I have tried this on multiple computers as well with identical results. I've also re-installed the drivers, tried using "Camera mode" on the usb connection, different root files etc etc to not avail.

I have a feeling the filename is too long for windows to handle and so it crashed the procedure. Try deleting the file if it isnt important and it should complete.

[Auto Updates are only accessible if you have donated to the Toolkit project, received an activation code and unlocked the donator features. IF you are not able to or do not want to donate to unlock the Auto Update feature (and other donator features) then all the smaller updates are collated and a full build made when I have time or if there are enough updates to warrant it. dang it. I swore I wouldn't be the guy that just missed the step talking about this. Yeah I see it in there now.
Now in the verizon instructions, I went to link #1 regarding bootloader info and then to link #2 regarding the process to follow. The link #2 states that it only works for 4.0.4 though and with all the "brick" talk I was hesitant to give it a try. As a note I did select the 4.1.1 option in the toolkit (a2).
Am I missing something or do I need to do something different for a Jelly Bean bootloader unlock? I want to certainly stick with your supported methods.

As far as I know it will work just as well on 4.1.1. Just download the casual app, select root with DebugFSRoot and 'do it', then select 'Flash unsecure Aboot' and 'do it'.
You will then be able to flash anything to your device so be careful and do not accept OTA updates. If you want to flash roms stick with cwm zip versions.

It's my first time flashing my VZW s3. How much do i have to donate for the donater features and how do i activate it? I want to put a custom rom on here as well. Does using this utility unlock the bootloader, give me root, and flash a custom recovery? Im sorry for the many questions, I haven't flashed since i had my HTC Sensation.

Thanks for the info. I did end up just following this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2046439 and found that it was surprisingly really easy.
As a note, FYI everything I found said that DebugFSRoot doesn't work on 4.1.1 hence I moved away from the method.
I had some drivers installed before I downloaded this so I uninstalled them and installed the drivers that came with the toolkit but my serial is still not showing up...
when i go to device manager, I dont see Samsung Android Phone, I see SAMSUNG MOBILE USB Composite Device - is that right as well? I'm on JRO03C BLK3 if it matters...

If the bootloader has been unlocked (which requires root in the first place) then the Toolkit can update or change the root files.

1. INSTALLING ADB/FASTBOOT DRIVERS
The first thing you need to do is to install the adb/fastboot drivers. These are needed so that you can unlock your bootloader, root your device and perform other adb/fastboot functions.
THE DRIVERS CAN BE INSTALLED DIRECTLY VIA THE TOOLKIT. OPTION 1 IN THE MAIN MENU.
If drivers are not installed or there is an exclamation mark next to the device:
Plug the device in to a usb cable directly connected to your motherboard.
In the Device Manager a new item, usually called Android 1.0 should pop up in the list.
Right click on the device item then left click on Update Driver Software. Select 'browse my computer' and then 'Let me pick from a list'.
If no adb interface driver appears in the list then untick 'Show compatible hardware' and find the Android or Samsung adb interface driver.
If you cannot find either of these click Have Disk, browse to the Toolkit install folder, drivers folder, click on android_winusb.inf and click Open.
Click OK and select Google ADB Interface.
Make sure you have USB debugging enabled in settings, developer options. In Android 4.2.2 or later you have to enable the developer options screen by going to settings, About on your device and click on Build number at the bottom 7 times until it says You are now a developer. If you have already enabled usb debugging then unplug/replug the usb cable.
On Android 4.2.2 or later when you replug the usb cable after enabling usb debugging for the first time you will get a popup asking you to authenticate your pc. Tick 'Always allow' then click 'ok'.

2. USING SKIPSOFT UNIFIED ANDROID TOOLKIT
When starting the Toolkit you will first be asked which device you want to work with. Working folders will be created and the device files downloaded. You will then be taken to the Model/Build selection screen where you can do a number of things (other than select your model/build): Type '00' to enter your activation code and enable pro features, 'i' will take you to the Information and Help Section, 'a' will give you information on how to add support for a new build.
Supported builds are listed in the Model/Build selection screen and typing the associated number (i.e. 11) will download needed boot and recovery files (stock and custom recovery) then check for and download the latest superuser files available and custom recovery (pro versions only), verify all the files and start the Main Menu. You can now use all the functions and tools the Android Toolkit offers. Pro users can select the "any build" option to root any build (useful if your build is not listed).

Q. What is ADB Shell?
Adb shell is a linux command line tool (because android is based on linux) used to
send commands to your android device. For S-ON devices, this is crucial for
modifying files in the /system partition (where the rom sits) as you cannot modify
anything in /system when the rom is running without S-OFF like removing system apps.

Q. I flashed Custom Recovery but each time I reboot the Stock Recovery is back
There is an auto recovery restore system on certain Stock Android Builds that will
reflash the Stock Recovery if you flash CWM on a Stock Rom.
Use Root Explorer to Mount the system folder as R/W (or use a free app from Google
Play such as ES File Explorer). Rename the files /system/recovery-from-boot.p and
/system/etc/install-recovery.sh (requires root). Now when you flash Custom Recovery
it will NOT be overwritten after a reboot. You can also do this via the Toolkit.

Q. My AntiVirus program says the Toolkit files may be harmful
The exe compiled files are not digitally signed with a Microsoft certificate (as
they cost money) so certain AntiVirus programs (mainly Norton and AVG Free) may
pick it up as potentially harmful when it is not. They will pick up ANY file that
doesn't contain a purchased Microsoft certificate in the same way. Just Restore the
deleted file and exclude it from further scans and it will be fine. Or switch to a
better AntiVirus program such as BitDefender.

Q. What is the difference between Nandroid and Titanium backup?
A NANDROID will backup the whole system including boot, system, data and recovery
partitions so you can restore a complete rom and all data and settings.
Titanium Backup is mainly used to backup apps and associated user data. These
could be restored AFTER a full wipe and a new Rom had been flashed on your phone.
The other option now which google added into the new adb command list is the adb
backup which is in the ToolKit and can do the same job as Titanium Backup but will
store the data on your PC rather than on the phone (which takes up space).
Q. I cannot find Developer options
With Android 4.2 google have thought it would be funny to hide the Developer options
screen in the Settings. This means you cannot enable usb debugging to communicate
with your device. To show the Developers options screen do the following:
1. Goto Settings, About and tap the Build number text 7 times.
2. When you have tapped 3 times you will be given a countdown of taps until you
become a developer.
3. Once you are told you are now a developer you can go back to the Settings
Screen and can see Developer options.
4. You can now go into Developer options and enable usb debugging.
Q. I am having trouble getting adb working with the drivers installed
Try switching your connection type from media (MTP) mode to camera (P2P) mode.
To do this open the notification area [top left] with the device connected via usb,
click where it says 'connected as' and change from MTP to PTP.

i keep getting error when i try to install custom recovery ive tried both my wifes phone and mineim on 4.4.2
I installed the toolkit to do an ADB backup of Samsung Galaxy S4 M919 with Android 4.2.2 (already rooted)
PC system in Win7/32
After installing the Samsung USB drivers, and plugging in the USB cable, I can see that the ADB drivers are loaded. In Device Manager, The "SAMSUNG Android ADB Interface" is shown under Android Phone. Running "adb device" from the command line shows that the SGS4 is recognized.
However, the prompt about pairing with the PC never occurs. I thought maybe I had done it before, so I didn't worry about it since ADB was working. I selected ADB Backup in the toolkit using the -all -apk -system -noshared options.
The Full Backup function appeared on the phone, and I selected "Back Up My Data". The phone had not rebooted - the backup app is on top of the regular phone function and the status bar is still showing at the top. I did not enter a password.
Below the password field various apps are displayed one by one.
However the progress is unbelievably slow. After 30 minutes, only at 200 MB file is present in the backup folder. It hasn't increased in size for over 10 minutes.
This is the first time I've tried an ADB backup with the SGS4, but my previous phone would back up several Gbytes in about 15 minutes.
Is this process just very slow on the SGS4, or is something wrong?
so the Att SGH 1337 model is not supported by this toolkit?

Lenovo Tab3-710f custom recovery?

We are trying to get hold a custom recovery for Lenovo Tab3-710F. We are using hundreds of Lenovo tablets in our projects and have up until now used Tab2 A7-10 which has a custom recovery build for it (found here att XDA).
The reason we need the custom recovery is for cloning the unit which works good in CWM or TWRP.
The problem now is that Lenovo have stopped selling Tab2 so we are now stuck with a unit we cant clone.
Have somebody successfully created a custom recovery for the unit? If not or if you have we are offering payments/devices to get this working asap. Are you interested please PM us? When we have it we can share it to the world here no problems for us.

Perhaps useful for you: I've managed to extract the stock rom of a brand new TB3-710F

This also includes the "recovery.img" so you could try to change this image and simply flashing it. If it does not work you'll have a stock rom to restore it.

@Tzul @gogetrd We are trying to achieve something similar, configure about 700 tablets of this model. I have played with custom ROMs in the past, but mostly as a consumer (e.g. Cyanogen on personal devices).
It is my understanding that installation using the files provided by @Tzul would require to;
0. create a custom ROM.
Then for each device
1. root device (e.g. Developper mode, allow "Unknown source"s, adb install one rooting apk, run it, etc).
2. install custom recovery on device
3. flash custom ROM
Am I right?
If so do we agree that the time spent doing these operations might be about similar than the time spent e.g. manually installing / configuring the device? Or is there a way to automate the steps above?
You can configure 1 tablet, then extract the ROM and flash it with the "download mode". You don't even need to boot the tablet!

@lacostej You can certainly automate some steps, and you do not always need root. (And the best way to root is to install the latest SuperSU via TWRP; no need for questionable apps that are doing who knows what...)
There are three ways to install another firmware:
The MediaTek SmartPhone Flash Tool (SPFT). This is a PC program (Windows and Linux) that allows reading and writing of the entire internal storage (on a partition granularity). Via USB, while the device is powered down. Only for devices based on MediaTek chips, of course (this tablet is MediaTek-based).
Fastboot. This is a little USB protocol implemented by the bootloader. A Fastboot client on PC can communicate with the bootloader via USB and execute certain commands, e.g. "fastboot flash" for flashing partitions. However, there are a few drawbacks with this:
First, you need to boot the device into fastboot mode. Some devices have a boot menu that allows you to do this, but this device doesn't. Starting the tablet via power+volumeUP takes you directly to the recovery instead of a boot menu. But in the recovery, whether stock or TWRP, there's a reboot to bootloader option. Using ADB (adb reboot bootloader) should also take you there.
Second, the "fastboot flash" command is restricted on this tablet. If you were to use "fastboot flash recovery <recoveryfilename_here>", for example, it would abort with an error message. I have patched the bootloader to allow the flash command, but you'd first need to install this patched version on your tablet(s), of course, via SPFT or other means.
Third, the "fastboot flash" command has a size limit - the bootloader needs to buffer the USB data in RAM before it can be written, and since the tablet has only 1 GB of RAM, you obviously can't flash a 1 GB system image this way. The buffer is actually a lot smaller: just 128 MiB. Meaning whatever file you send to the tablet via "fastboot flash", it cannot be larger than 128 MiB. So, how do you flash the system or userdata partition then, which are much, much larger? By splitting their image file into many smaller "sparse" image files, each of which is below the size limit. There's probably a tool for doing this, but I don't know any details.
TWRP, or another custom recovery. They allow you to create and restore backups. TWRP has some automation support via OpenRecoveryScript.
So, if you have 700 tablets to configure, you can configure just one, then save its state via SPFT or TWRP, then restore that on each other tablet.
What is its "state"? Well, the system, cache, and data partitions. The system partition is normally read-only and won't change, therefore you do not need to clone it. Unless you install root and modify stuff on the system partition, of course. The cache partition is quite irrelevant. It is the data partition that has all the app settings.
However, if you clone the data partition from one tablet to others, then you're causing each tablet to use the same Android ID (a long number identifying an Android device, usually randomly generated when Android is first booted after a factory reset), the same Bluetooth and WiFi MAC addresses, and some other IDs that should be unique on each device (the tablet's Lenovo serial number might be in some cloned files as well, e.g. the WiFi settings).
You can at least avoid cloning the MAC addresses by deleting the entire directory /data/nvram/ before you create your backup. MediaTek devices have a dedicated NVRAM partition that contains the MAC addresses and some other stuff, and this data gets unpacked to /data/nvram/ when Android boots. Unless the files there already exist. So, by deleting /data/nvram/ before you clone, you force each tablet to extract its unique MAC addresses again at the next boot...

How did you get root on your Lenovo device? (I assume you had one to dump the image)

That's exactly the thing I was worried about when it comes to cloning. Those problems might arise later during QA, and I probably don't have the time required to do it properly this time.

SuperSU is just like any other root manager. It provides the actual "su" (superuser) binary that other programs rely on to obtain root privileges, plus an Android app for managing permissions and settings. The su binary needs to be installed on the system partition (at least traditionally), but in order to get write access there, you need root privileges. Therefore, this is a chicken and egg problem: SuperSU provides root, but it also needs root in order to be installed. Other root manager are no different - except that some try to exploit security flaws in Android in order to temporarily obtain root and install their su binary.
Anyway, the classic solution to this conundrum is the (custom) recovery: it basically has root built-in. It can write to the system partition by default, after all one of its jobs is to install firmware updates.
TWRP includes a SuperSU stub. If you leave TWRP via the Reboot menu, it checks whether or not the su binary is installed (at least in Android 4 and 5), and if it isn't, it asks if you'd like to install the SuperSU stub. Which you can then use in Android to update to the latest SuperSU via Play Store. But you can also install SuperSU's latest "update zip" in TWRP to immediately install the full version.

Yeah, it is annoying. MediaTek apparently wisened up a bit. Newer platforms they produce do not unpack the NVRAM partition to the data partition anymore. Instead, they use a dedicated "nvdata" partition for that purpose. That way, if you clone the data partition, you at least won't include the unpacked NVRAM data (MAC addresses and IMEI). But still, some other IDs such as the Android ID, references to the serial number, etc. will very likely be referenced by some other files on the data partition.
I created a little "update zip" that can be "installed" via TWRP, which is just a shell script that tries to delete all the files on the data partition that contain unique or sensitive info. I use it to "clean" a data partition before publishing it. But it's not perfect yet...
@Tzul Your modified rom is great. But I have one problem with it.
When you connect your turned off device to the power supply there is a clock and charging animation. The clock is several hours ahead of the system clock. System clock and clock during the charging are connected (when I change the system time the 2nd clock also changes the hour).
I was trying to use hwclock but without success.
Is there some kind of file where I can set the correct time zone for the 2nd clock?

When the tablet is turned off and then connected to a power supply, it will usually start "off-mode charging" (can be disabled, so that Android will boot up instead). This is handled by the bootloader (LK, lk.bin), which also displays the battery animation and the clock that you see. Apparently the bootloader on this device doesn't handle time zones, because the clock shown uses China Standard Time (CST, UTC+08:00). This is the first MediaTek-based device I've seen which shows a clock in the off-mode charging screen at all. I guess they normally don't because they have no simple way to figure out the user's correct time zone at that stage.
Will this method and these files work for TB3-730F?

For us it is this "simple".
1. Manually configure a single device
2. Readback the ROM (get the ROM from the device and store it on your PC) using SP Flash Tool
3. Parse the ROM from a single file to multiple files using Mtk Droid Tool
4. (clear cache partition & remove stuff like serial number)
5. Load your ROM in SP Flash Tool
6. Click start
7. DO NOT START your new tablet
8. Connect it to USB
9. Wait (assuming you already have the preloader drivers installed)
10. Done, new ROM is flashed to your tab!

Oh and with 700 tablets it might be nice to look into compressing the file as the full 8gb dump we flash (and we don't do a lot these days) will take ~30-40 minutes

That's unnecessary, because the SP Flash Tool can already read back partitions into separate files.
Also, you don't need to clone some partitions like cache, and you really should not clone nvram and parts of data, otherwise you'll end up with tablets sharing unique IDs such as MAC addresses, which will cause problems.

@siegheart73 That is a patched OTA update. It needs to be installed by the recovery (stock or TWRP). If a zip file contains a "META-INF" folder, then it's most likely intended for the recovery, and not for the SPFT.

BACKUP YOUR EFS PARTITION BEFORE DOING ANYTHING​If EFSpartition is corrupted or lost, you would not be able to get calls and wifi and your IMEI will be permanently lost.
There is currently no way of restoring corrupted EFS partition since it is device specific, so flashing stock firmware will also be useless

OR You can Backup all partitions using twrp (nandroid backup) and store in someplace safe (make sure to tick all partitions including EFS)

Unlocking Bootloader
Normally I wouldn’t provide instructions for this, but since things had changed drastically from previous Samsung devices, and there are some caveats, I figure this would be helpful.
* Allow bootloader unlocking in Developer options → OEM unlocking
* Reboot your device to download mode. Either use adb reboot download, or use turn off m30s, press vol+ and vol- simultaneously (while powered off) and connect to pc.
* Long press volume up to unlock the bootloader. This will wipe your data and automatically reboot.
Just when you think the bootloader is unlocked, it is actually not! Samsung introduced VaultKeeper, meaning the bootloader will reject any unofficial partitions before VaultKeeper explicitly allows it.
* Go through the initial setup. Skip through all the steps since data will be wiped again later when we are installing Magisk. Connect the device to internet in the setup!
* Enable developer options, and confirm that the OEM unlocking option exists and grayed out! The VaultKeeper service will unleash the bootloader after it confirms that the user has the OEM unlocking option enabled.
* if there is no OEM unlock option, set phone's date to 7+ days and back and now see.
* Your bootloader now accepts unofficial images in download mode.
Instructions
* Download the firmware for your device.
* Unzip the firmware and copy the AP tar file to your device. It is normally named as AP_[device_model_sw_ver].tar.md5
* Install the latest Magisk Manager
* In Magisk Manager: Install → Install → Select and Patch a File and select the AP tar file.
* Magisk Manager will patch the whole firmware file and store the output to [Internal Storage]/Download/magisk_patched.tar
* Copy the patched file to your PC with adb pull /sdcard/Download/magisk_patched.tar. Do not use MTP as it is reported to corrupt files.
* Reboot to download mode, and flash magisk_patched.tar as AP in Odin, together with the BL, CP and HOME_CSC files. Never flash only an AP file, as Odin can shrink your /data file-system if you do.
Important: Uncheck “Auto Reboot” in Options!
* Magisk is now successfully flashed to your device! But there are still several steps before you can properly use the device.
* We now want to boot into the stock recovery to factory reset our device.
* Full data wipe is mandatory! Do not skip this step.
* Press Power + Volume Down to exit download mode. As soon as the screen turns off, immediately press the Vol up and power to boot to recovery . Since we want to boot into stock recovery, continue pressing the volume up button until you see the stock recovery screen.
* Use volume buttons to navigate through the stock recovery menu, and the power button to select an option. Choose Wipe data/factory reset to wipe the data of the device.
* This time, we can finally boot to the system with Magisk. Select Reboot system now, and immediately press the combo key to recovery. After seeing the bootloader warning screen, release all buttons so it can boot to the system.
* The device will automatically reboot for the first time it boots. This is completely normal and done by design.
* After the device is booted up, do the usual initial setup. The following steps will need an internet connection.
* You shall see Magisk Manager in your app drawer; if not, manually install the APK you downloaded in step 3 and continue to the next step. The app would be a stub and it shall automatically upgrade to the full Magisk Manager when you open it.
* Magisk Manager will ask to do additional setups. Let it do its job and the app will automatically reboot your device.
Voila! Enjoy Magisk
Additional Info
* Magisk actually patches 3 partitions on your device:
vbmeta: replace with empty vbmeta image to disable partition verification
boot: remove the signature of the image to prevent soft bricks
recovery: this is where Magisk is actually installed
* Never, ever try to restore either of the 3 images mentioned back to stock! You can easily brick your device by doing so, and the only way out is to do full Odin restore following with factory reset. Just don’t do it.
* If you want to upgrade your device, never flash the stock AP tar file with the reasons mentioned above. Always pre-patch the firmware before flashing in Odin.
* If you don’t need to patch the full firmware, you can manually create a tar file with at least vbmeta.img, boot.img, and recovery.img to let Magisk Manager patch your images in the proper way.
Due to the fact that some devices no longer uses ramdisk in boot images, Magisk has no choice but to be installed in the recovery partition. For these devices, you will have to boot to recovery every time if you want Magisk. Since both Magisk and recovery lives in the same partition, what you actually end up getting when you choose to boot to recovery will be determined by how long you press volume up.
1. Powering up normally → System without Magisk
2. Power + Volume Up → Bootloader warning → Release all buttons → System with Magisk
3. Power + Volume Up → Bootloader warning → Keep holding volume up → Actual recovery
I would recommend Smalipatcher module to reboot directly into magisk system.
Updates: For each and every updates, either magisk or system update always patch the firmware with magisk and flash using odin(data will not be wiped if HOME_CSC
used instead of CSC)

Boot up WITH sim inserted, CONNECT to internet during setup (or you can connect after setting up, but perform below operations only when connected to internet).
Enable developer options and go to them.
Now connect to internet and go to dev options, now set date 8 days back and check dev options for OEM unlocking
if it's still not there set date to today and again 8 days back and again check.
This worked for me and OEM unlocking was there and RMM state was changed to checking.
(what we are doing is fooling phone to believe that sim was inserted for more than 7 days)

"Please get the approval to use factory binaries (PIT)"
Anyone know any way to make it work? It would be really nice to be able to downgrade to U1 binaries.

it's currently impossible to install a test/debugging firmware without a samsung dev account that work as an authorization to flash combination files.
