I was wondering of there was anyway that I could keep the stock messaging app and keyboard and have all smileys displayed as plain text. I have never been a fan of emoticons appearing in my texts, it just seems weird to not have an option. If anyone could help me out I would much appreciate it. I am running the latest version of Viper and am rooted on firmware 2.20 if that is necessary information. Thank you all in advanced.

So you're running ViperXL and you're rooted? Please explain this phenomenon.
It's been a long day..

Alright I can't for the life of me seem to find the old thread about this, but has anyone figured out how to disable htc linkify on stock 2.20? I tried freezing it and changing the build.prop lines like in 1.85 that made it work and still nothing. Has anyone figured out what you need to do on stock to get links in email and such working?

Hasn't been done yet. Htc sealed it up tight this time

Even for the custom roms? I thought the only thing they really beefed up was the bootloader, which shouldn't affect something like this right?!

You said stock not custom. CleanROM has HTC linkify fixed. Or at least it did at one point...

CleanROM and all ROMs based off non-USA carrier bases don't have linkify.

Yes I said stock but I thought some of the custom roms were based off of the us versions so they would have had some way to get around it but I guess if they are all based off of versions without linkify to start with that makes sense.

[Q]does anyone know how to replace stock lockscreen on rooted android 4.0.3 with sense 4.0?any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'd rather not flash any more roms, I'm no pro at it by any stretch of the imagination ie.: afraid its gonna mess up my phone, although I do realise that this would allow me to change lockscreens

Hey all,
After finally getting this thing rooted I downloaded cleanrom v5. During the aroma setup menu, I selected for the rom to have the battery percentage displayed on battery icon. To me the way the percentage is displayed is very ugly with its big font and the way it dims the green of the indicator. I'm coming from the evo lte where all the "stockish" battery mods didn't look like this (see screenshot). I searched this forum and only found one mod but it was for the 1.85 firmware. Is anyone planning on or currently working on any battery mods for the hoxl 2.20? Any info is greatly appreciated.

Anybody?

Ummm the firmware doesn't have anything to do with themes?
A ROM is a ROM and a theme for a ROM doesn't just not work because you're on 2.20

Oh my bad.. but I did download it and tried to flash it while running cleanrom and it broke my status bar/system ui

May be incompatible with your ROM
If you could find the images you like you could use a vrtheme zip to flash them
Google it, its extreamly simple to do

This is what I'm using on stock 2.20, give it a try and see if it works for you. I would save a copy of your SystemUi.apk just in case.
Does anybody have a list of what has changed in JB OTA?
Thanks in advance.

Google search is your friend

Exceptional idea indeed.
Let me rephrase my question:
Which google search term brought up a list of what has changed in JB OTA on the HTC One S?
Thank you

Hello all,
Super noon question I'm sure but how would I go about installing a theme I downloaded from the HTC One X development board called "toxic". I am rooted runnning the latest version of the Team Viper Rom. Any ideas friends? Many thanks.

Doesn't appear to be there. I tried restarting and everything

May not be for our phone tho

It was listed under the Viper Themes but it looks like it wasn't for our phones. My fault. Could you or anyone else reccomend some themes that are black and green? Sort of like the Toxic theme listed here:

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Look in the venom hub

Unfortunately The Hub is very limited in themes. Any way I can suggest one for development?
