Hi everyone. In CM10, under the Sound Settings, there is an option to have the hardware (Home, Back, Menu) buttons vibrate when pressed. However, I have found that the vibration intensity is too high and I instead prefer the vibration intensity that Sense provides. Is there any way to tweak the button vibration intensity in CyanogenMod 10?

Hi all,
I own a HTC Desire and I don't like the vibrate sensivity. It's too strong and it doesn't feel good... Previously I owned Windows Mobile phones and it was very easy to adjust the vibrate sensitivity... There was also an app to enable vibrate on every tap....
Is this possible? (I really mean in general, not just ringtone vibration or keyboard vibration)
THANKS!
No one interested???

Got the same issue, at least for sms and calls I reduced it with smart vibrator by reducing the duration of the vibration
Any news of you ? Did you find a solution ?
I'm interested too... My Desire vibrates too much on my desk !
Ty chill91. SmartVibrator works well for this. Yes it still sucks I can't modify the vibration intensity, but at least I can cut it down to a short burst.
For some reason, my keyboard and lock sounds have gotten so quiet that its pointless to even have it on. When I first enabled them, they were audible, now they're whisper quiet.
All of my volume settings (notification, ringer, alarm) are as high as they go. I can't find volume adjustments for the key clicks.
Anyone know what could be going on?
Thanks!
Figured it out. It's the system volume. Used Quick Settings to adjust it.

Hello,
I just want to decrease the haptic feedback vibration length of capacitive buttons.
Adjusting haptic vibrations was possible in CM7 roms, but I can't wait for ICS. It's so annoying and killing me. I don't want to completely disable it too.
I don't know anything about rom development or kernel development. Is it possible to tweak that myself?
Thanks.
No love for me
I realize this has been talked about but I wanted to ask a direct question, are any of the developers looking into adding the capability to increase/decrease the vibration intensity.
I realize there is an option already for vibration intensity, but can you enhance the settings by adding/changing the slider to be a lot more intense at the top, a stronger top end? I work in a loud environment and use my phone for business but I always miss calls because I can't feel the vibration. It's beginning to become a deal-breaker! Just to clearify, I am looking to increase intensity and no make custom vibration tones.
I am running Sky-ICS, latest build, AT&T.
I have seen for the s2 that Fluxi kernel has an app, xxtweaker, that will adjust the vibration. How about something like that?
You could look into this:

Thanks! I will look into it.
Any other thoughts?
Edit: After looking into this, it seems that we don't have the file they specify. Not sure what to do. I am not on CyanogenMod, so that might be why I don't see this file.
Any other thoughts would be appreciated!
Just curious if anyone knows if there's a way to change vibration intensity? I looked around in the settings and don't see much. Vibration is a little weak imo so its a bit easy to miss notifications
You can flash a custom kernel like this one https://s3.schober.industries/minio/public-index/perseus/kernel/ V0.3
and you can install https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=flar2.exkernelmanager&hl=nl this manager and there you will have the option for a harder or softer vibration.
